Uncaged by JB Salsbury was a short story in the Fighting series as a follow up to Fighting for Flight, book one.

Sadie Slade was Raven and Jonah’s daughter who was now seventeen. She was going on her first date and Jonah was in crazy alpha mode trying to stop her date.

Jack Daniels was Blake and Layla’s son from Fighting to Forgive, book two. Jack was Sadie’s best friend and her first date. He was such a mini Blake, it was awesome!

I loved this follow up and all of the interactions between Jonah and Blake as well as with Raven and Jonah. And then the bonus interactions between Jack and Sadie. It was short, funny and sweet. It was also the prep for the spin off legacy series and the first book Free to Fly, Jack and Sadie’s full story.

Such an adorable quick read. A little taste of the friends-to-lovers romance between Jack and Sadie, two of the eldest children in the tight knit group of fighters I’ve come to love. Their beginning kind of reminds me of Killian and Axelle’s start.

I can’t wait to read their full story.

4 quick and fun stars

This is a super-quick read, and a wonderful bonus for fans of the Fighting series. It’s a quick glimpse back into the lives of Jonah and Raven as they deal with a big moment – their 17-year-old daughter Sadie’s first date. With none other than Jack Daniels – son of Blake and Layla.

Jonah is a big badass with a soft and squishy centre and his protectiveness over his baby girl is freaking hilarious!

He’s still mumbling a string of profanity, throwing in phrases like, my baby and my life followed my gruesome threats of bodily harm.
“Jonah!” I place my hand over his and squeeze. “You need to calm down.”
He turns to me, his eyes glistening with anger.
“What is wrong with you?”
His thick black eyelashes make a slow pass over his eyes and he stills. “She’s my baby girl…”

And it’s even funnier as Blake is dragged into the tension.

“You listen to me, Vajonah,” Blake yells into the phone. “I swear to all that is good and holy in this world, if you flip your switch and lay a finger on my boy --”
“No one is going to lay a finger on anyone!” I say to both men.
Jonah grows even more tense. “You bet your ass no one is going to lay a finger on anyone!” He leans close so Blake can hear him. “You warn your boy that whatever he does to Sadie he can guarantee I’ll do to him with my fucking fist, you hear me?!”

Classic!

And the little glimpse we get of Jack and Sadie together is gorgeous. Best friends since childhood, everything is about to change for them. And it looks like we’ll get to see more of them in their own book (squee!).

I loved the chance to go back and revisit with these characters. Jonah and Raven are just as in love and hot for each other as always (*fans self*), and it was gorgeous catching up with them again and seeing them in this new stage of their lives.

“She’s my baby. But, I wouldn’t want to deny her finding what we have.”

There’s also a hint of a future rockstar romance spin off for Jesse Lee, and I’m really excited for whatever is to come next.

4 stars!

This book also features two additional Fighting series shorts:

A Christmas to Remember – a special moment for Rex & Gia
UFL Valentine’s Day – Blake being Blake 😉

Both fun little reads.

Three fun and light short stories featuring the amazing characters from the Fighting series.
I was sad when I read the last book in the series, so this comes as a very pleasant surprise. Plus there is information about a spinoff (YAY). I think lovers of this series will enjoy Uncaged a lot!

Jonah Slade as a parenting adult. Sign. Me. Up.

Uncaged is so sweet. I love Jack and Sadie and absolutely can't wait to have more on their story. I love short stories and these stories coming, are gonna be PERFECT. I love revisiting everyone we already love. JB's guys are hands down one of my absolute favorite set of fictional characters out there. I love my main three the most (Jonah, Blake and Rex) but love the entire family so much.

4 Stars... A compilation of three short stories from the "Fighting Series"... The initial story focuses on Jonah and Blake as their two teenage children start dating; overprotective Jonah faces letting his baby girl go and crazy Blake must trust his son to take care of her... With humor and heart this short story reconnects readers with two primary characters and allows us to witness them "ALL GROWN UP"!... The second story is a short read focusing on Rex and Gia and lays out the beautiful and heartfelt marriage proposal; very touching and incredibly sweet... The final story is all humor as Blake shares the consequences of "putting on a show" for the beautiful but feisty Layla; nothing else needs to be said!:)

**** ATTENTION ALL FIGHTING FOR FLIGHT FANS ****

Uncaged is the perfect Short Story addition to The Fighting Series by JB Salsbury. Depending on your reading speed (I savored the hell out of this, so it took me a lot longer than an hour). You can pull this precious gem out when you have a little time and get the "high" we've come to expect when reading one of JB's books.

Uncaged is a hilarious and sexy peek into Jonah and Raven's life after eighteen years of marriage. And no worries folks, they are still as hot for each other as they were all those years ago.

BUT WAIT!! Sadie, their beautiful baby girl just turned seventeen, and is ready to date. But ah... she just so happens to be going out with Blake the Snake Daniels son Jack. YIKES! You're going to have to read to see what happens next because I don't want to spoil it for ya. ;)

And as if that isn't enough. We're gifted another peek into Rex and Gia's life. A Christmas to Remember is totally swoon worthy and reminds us all why we love our sweet rockstar Rex.

And to put the cherry on top, we get Valentines day at the UFL Training Center. But be warned, if you're reading this in public, you're going to need to attempt to not laugh out loud like a crazy loon. Once you see what Blake has going on you'll know exactly what I mean. ;)

So there you have it JB Salsbury fans. The perfect one hour escape from reality is right here in this unforgettable anniversary present.

I didn't realize how much I missed being with the guys until I read this. It's a very short story that takes place years after Brae's book...the kids are all grown up and Sadie who is now a beautiful young lady is getting ready to go out on her first date....now ladies you can't even begin to imagine how crazy Jonah is acting LOL! I absolutely loved it! Think of this as a little check in and also as a glimpse into the future of the fighting kids...I really enjoyed getting back in Jonah's head...the way he loves Raven even after all these years is just so beautiful to see! Those of you who have bonded with the characters the way I have will appreciate this little story. I seriously loved the humour JB brought to it... (Sigh) to end off my review all I have left to say is...DAYUM Blake is still so funny and so HOT! #ILoveYourDickDaniels 😂

This is a short novella about the Fighting characters, three short stories really, one - about Sadie and Jack's first date (that's Raven & Jonah's daughter & Layla and Blake's son); two - about Rex & Gia and three - about Blake and Valentines Day shenanigans. All seriously great, lots of laughs and tender moments. Such a treat!

3 short humorous stories from featuring couples from the authors Fighting series..

The first was kinda a preview to the upcoming book that will feature Jonah and Raven's daughter Sadie and Blake and Layla's son Jack. They are currently 17 and going on their first date and Daddy Jonah isn't ready to let his baby girl go - the man is ready to murder 😉

The next two are really short stories and are not current day

A short sweet Christmas story with Rex and Gia

And a Valentines gone wrong with Blake, Jonah and Braeden... Funny stuff this one.

Very short and quick read that takes readers on Jack and Sadie's first date -- and the insane reactions it set off for their dads -- the infamous Jonah and Blake. Cute and fun-to-read.

Looking forward to Jack and Sadie's full story in October.

I was so excited to read this book as the premise was more Raven and Jonah, sadly I felt let down! I expected it to be a short read but I felt mislead!

I did enjoy reading about Sadie, Raven's and Jonah's daughter, on her first date with Blake's and Layla's son, Jack, so cure! Of course they have a spin-off Free to Fly, will probably read it!!

This is a very short but really sweet (of course a smexy moment-❤️- Jonah). It follows Sadie and Jack and we get a glimpse of what could be a future longer story. I won’t say anymore.

If you are a fan of this series, this is a delicious morsel.

This story is short, fast paced and amusing. I read this story in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. I was really amused at Jonah’s reaction to Sadie dating Blake’s son. I liked how over protective he was of his daughter. I really liked that Raven helped Sadie go on her date and hold Jonah back from going after them.
The chemistry and passion between Jonah and Raven is still as strong as ever.
Sadie and Jack were cute together; I cannot wait for more from them.
The storyline for this short story is easy to follow and a nice read. I cannot wait for a full story from Sadie and Jack. Although it isn’t needed, I would recommend reading Raven and Jonah’s story before reading this short story involving their daughter.

Laughter is a beautiful thing! It’s better when you have Johan and Blake in the mix. The idea of their kids dating each other, not so easy. Their bantering is classic and you can’t help but just laugh out loud. Absolutely, love this short story. It’s a fabulous appetizer to Jack and Sadie’s story. I’m not sure how long the entrée will take but it’s going to be scrumptious. I can’t wait to read their story.

JB’s mind is a beautiful thing and I’m so glad she’s sharing her brilliance.

I absolutely LOVED reading this little nugget into Jack & Sadie’s beginning to what I know will be an amazeballs book. I’m SO excited!!!!

It was great to see the Jonah and my man Blake 😉 especially them in father mode, bloody hilarious 😂😂😂

JB Salsbury also included 2 short stories:

1. Rex and Gia which was just BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

2. Blake doing the helicopter.... nuff said 😂😂💗

Please remember UNCAGED is only 65 pages and it’s an oh so amazing appetiser 😈

Oh my gosh, this was perfect, exactly what I needed because it's always nice reconnecting with the "Fighting" crew! I loved every quick second but especially the lead in to Sadie and Jack's story. Jonah Slade hits all my hot buttons but so do all the guys from this series and honestly, I loved his response to Sadie dating, loved that little peek so much! I can't wait for the next journey.

SUCH MEMORABLE CHARACTERS!

Found myself giggling once again with the antics of Jonah and Blake! Their children, Jack and Sadie, are going on their first date together. Jonah sets up his chair 3 feet from the front door waiting for Jack to arrive and Blake follows them to the movies! Then we have a sweet short story where Rex asks Gia to marry him. The final little story is how Blake injured his "wiener" and it's Valentines Day!

Very short but I loved them.

This was a super fun, cute and just enjoyable read it from JB Salsbury. It brought me back right into the fighting series world that I love and it gave me these characters in the best way. I smiled something fierce with their antics and melted something fierce with their hearts. They truly are a family, and I just loved getting this little snippet of them and look at what’s to come for them all the future. If you’re a fan of this series, then, this quick short story is a must read!
