After college, Laura Marie Altom did a brief stint as an interior designer before becoming a stay-at- home mom to boy/girl twins. Always an avid romance reader, when she found herself replotting the afternoon soaps, she knew it was time to try her hand at writing.
Okay when I read a romance I like it to be between two people who are faithful and love each other and only each other. This one I thought was going to be like that but no there was separation and a pending divorce and the h slept with someone else, a friend of her husband, but she then slept with her husband again and they weren't really divorced and she got pregnant. Just a terrible romance for me. The whole story was a disappointment but that is my personal opinion. The author writes well so she gets a star but the storyline was pfft. Definitely a bummer read.
So this was definitely not for me. As a previous reviewer said, the plot was ridiculous and Judy not realistic at all.
Tanner and Jenny is a married couple who got divorced…only they actually weren’t due to the paperwork never having been filed. During their “separation”, Jenny slept with one of Tanner’s friends. She finds out that she’s pregnant and goes back to Tanner. While trying to work on their marriage, Tanner and Jenny’s home catches on fire. Tanner is burned and Jenny loses her memory.
Jenny never even told Tanner that his friend, Hawk, could possibly be the father of her baby. While Jenny tries to get her memory back, Jenny and Tanner struggle to rekindle their relationship. However, once things between them start to get better, Jenny has another accident (seriously she had two major accidents!) and falls down the stairs. She ended up having an emergency c-section. Hawk arrives at the hospital and tells Tanner that he might be the father of the baby. Of course, Tanner gets upset. He gets even angrier when he finds out that all their friends knew that Jenny had no idea who was the father of the baby. On top of that, Jenny went back to Tanner knowing that there was a possibility that Tanner was not the father (and this was before she lost her memory!). In the end, Tanner is not the father of the baby…Hawk is.
The romance just seemed incredibly forced. I was honestly hoping that Tanner and Jenny would just divorce for good. Tanner definitely tried to fix his marriage. Once, Tanner decided that he was tired of trying to fix the marriage is when Jenny decided to give in and try…and this was after Hawk shut her down.
Yes, they both had some faults with their marriage, but in my opinion Jenny absolutely destroyed it with the lying. She should have been upfront about the whole situation and she definitely shouldn’t have slept with one of his friends. Like seriously, all the in men the world and she had to choose to sleep with someone that close?

Be My Valentine, Baby by Laura Marie Altom SEAL Team: Holiday Heroes Series Book Three Tanner and Jenny Muldoon had been in love...grown apart...then divorced. Or so they thought. Ended up there was a glitch and they were still married. Now, back together and expecting a baby—life was good and getting better.
Until the fire. Tanner came home to find his house on fire...his wife inside. Nothing was going to to stop him from rescuing the only family he had left—besides his SEAL brothers.
The author really puts this couple through the ringer—several times. They either come out stronger...or break. I'll let you read the story to find the answer to that. Great story that took my own emotions on a wild ride. **Sensual content http://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com/...
Love the fact that these big bed cave over a little bitty baby. these books show trouble and strafe, but the seals always find a way to work it out in the end. Can't wait for the next one
I have to say this has been a new author for me, but I am disappointed because even the last two stories , book 2 and three, have had great plots but unfortunately the author has made these last two stories half the size of book one . They have been kept the same price even though they are shorter. They should have been around $0.99 and not $2.99 as much as I would love to rate the story higher I cannot. I kinda feel cheated. It is unfortunate because the stories had potential. Unless they go down in price don't bother.
Captivating from the first page. I couldn’t read this novel fast enough, and yet the beautiful writing compelled me to slow down and experience every line. This second chamce romance is filled with emotion and bold characters who are unapologetic in what they want. Do yourself a favor and pick this up, you won’t regret it!
At times, this book was heart wrenching but a true testimate to what love can do! I wasn't all that crazy about Tanner in the other stories but quickly learned to love him in his story! Didn't want to go to sleep and not finish it....I was THAT hooked!
The beginning of this story was so heart rending. Both Tanner and Jenny were in the hospital. He had bad burns and she was in a coma. When she wakes up she doesn't remember him. Much of the story is them getting to know each other after their trauma. At the end, there is a surprise that both of them have to deal with. The end was amazing!
Jenny and Tanner got divorced after realizing that their marriage wasn't working any longer. Or so they thought!! A paperwork snafu results in them still being married. What happens next results in a whirlwind of drama, pain, compromise, secrets, and love.
I enjoyed this book, though I think reading it as an ebook worked against me. That’s me - it just seems like the tiny pages, one at a time, keeps me from really getting into the flow of the story as readily as would happen if I was reading a “dead tree” book. That said, I always enjoy a story set in Alaska!
Try to imagine if you woke up and remembered no part of the last 6 years. This story shows all those emotions you might imagine and shows the light if love at the end of the tunnel. Definitely a must read.
I absolutely loved reading this book and can't wait to read more from this author, Laura Marie Alton did an amazing job with this story and I highly recommend reading it.
Wow there's so much excitement and drama that each character has to go through that I could not put this book down as I had to know what was going to happen next.
A sweet romance that starts off with tragedy and heartache, compelling characters and a great storyline. The author gives the readers a look into a couple facing some challenges in their relationship but very realistic images of life that's not always perfect. Truly a incredible story.
Jenny and Tanner are working on their marriage, when there is a fire and both are injured - will it hurt them further or will it help their relationship?
I loved this book, and I can't wait to read more books from this Author. Excellent read...Highly recommended everyone read this book and any book from this Author..
Tanner and Jenny thought they would be soulmates forever. However, life happened and they just weren’t strong enough to withstand the bad times. Tanner was different after the accident in the mine. Jenny didn’t know how to get through to him, all her efforts were rejected and rebuffed and she began to feel resentful, trapped. They both say things they can’t take back and they separate. They wonder what if, but a house fire, a lost baby, Jenny in a coma – it’s all too much, and when Jenny finally awakens from the coma she doesn’t know who Tanner is. It seems hopeless, but maybe that soulmate link is still there, even if tenuous and shaky. Throw in some funny encounters, sweet attempts at dating, a forceful attraction neither of them can fight – and one giant twist – and you’ve got a tender, heartfelt, poignant novella. Thanks to the author for providing a copy of Be My Valentine, Baby. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I voluntarily leave this review; all opinions are my own.
