Bowen Daniels is feeling lost. He needs a purpose, something to get his head back in the game and his feet set back on a path he can live with. One that won’t damage his liver, maybe.
Enter tough, sexy, Jordan Collins.
The first time Bowen Daniels gets a look at Jordan Collins, she’s bending over in tight jeans and he’s thinking he may be in heaven.
Too bad Bowen makes a terrible first impression that could cost him a chance at getting to know Jordan better. Because he sure as hell wants to get to know the spitfire woman who owns her own bike shop.
But Jordan’s got her own troubles on the horizon, and Bowen knows the only way to show Jordan that not all guys are assholes is to prove to her that she’s worth the fight.
A Terrible Beauty By T. Birmingham
Kit Markham returns from war a changed woman. Unable to cope with what happened ten years earlier, she pushes away those who could help most.
Lee Devereux has his own share of war wounds, but none worse than the burden he’s taken on to see that the Kit he once knew finds herself again. He’s got his work cut out for him, though. It’s been over two years since she returned home, and Lee still can’t find the girl he once loved in the woman who’s become so lost.
When local soldiers, veterans, and their families start getting threats from a team of blackmailers, Kit has to make a choice. Let Lee and her family be a part of her healing or keep her secrets and risk losing herself completely.
Billy Daily By Desiree Lafawn
The last time Max saw Billy, she threw a solid right hook to the region below his belt.
He probably deserved it.
But that doesn’t mean he’s not wary of the woman who punches first and asks questions later.
Now that he’s come back to the one place he’s ever considered home, he gets to duck and cover on a (Billy F**king) Daily basis. Only, he’s coming to find Billy ain’t all that scary, even if she is god***ed crazy.
Then again, he’s an ex-military, contract mercenary with a former drinking problem who’s doing a job for an old lady named Grandma Jean. A woman who wears a gun holster for her .38 Ruger under her yellow cardigan, takes in bikers, and calls her son, “that ding dong fruit of my lady bits.” So, honestly, Billy Daily might be the least crazy of all of them.
Billy’s got secrets, though, and as much as Max is man enough to admit another kick to the nuts is something he’s lookin’ to avoid, he soon finds he’d take a punch to the family jewels any day if it means keeping Billy safe.

Captivating collection of short novels that are entertaining to read! The Long Road Home: An Honor the Sacrifice Anthology written by three spectacular authors; Gen Ryan, T. Birmingham and Desiree Lafawn all have come together to embrace bravery, heroism and dedicate this book to those who have put those boots on, zipped up the uniform and saluted to the flag!
As a proud military spouse, these stories touched home in every way. In one way shape or form, each novel has a military influence and I am happy to say that these authors have it on point! Each one providing well developed characters to the beautifully heroic emotional ways the relationships unfolded.
T. Birmingham’s, A Terrible Beauty really touched home, as having friends with PTSD is a tough battle to up haul. This story brought back many memories and brought emotions to the surface. Well done T!
This book was a delight to read! I will be keeping my eyes peeled for more novels from these three authors!
4.5 Brave Stars

I am so blown away by this group of ladies. The 3 stories in this book are absolutely phenomenal! I enjoyed each one while struggling to put the book down in order to work. Each story touched my heart 💜 I truly feel that our soldiers don’t get as much recognition, appreciation and understanding as they deserve! These stories touch base on just some struggles they face when returning home. The romance was an added bonus! Thank you ladies for this tribute and respect to our soldiers!
What can I say? All three stories were fabulous. I was drawn into each story and I know they aren't supposed to be full length novels but I was so into them I wanted them to be! You will love all the characters and get invested in them. I highly recommend this anthology!
I Volunteered to read this anthology. These are my thoughts and only my thoughts.
These stories are great. This is the first time I have read anything from these authors. I plan on reading more. These stories will tug at your heart strings
I absolutely love the cover for this book!
Worth Fighting For is about a military man who shows a single mom that she can believe in love. This story had me sucked in from the get go. I loved the characters and felt everything the characters were feeling. I love Logan, he is a sweet boy. I love how Bowen interacted with Logan. It was super sweet. I want more of this story. I didn't want it to end.
A Terrible Beauty took me a little bit to get into. My heart broke for the characters. Veterans who went through alot in behind enemy lines. A great read.
Billy Daily is a great story. This one had me laughing at times and had my heart breaking at others. I really hope we get more of Billy and Max. Grandma Jean is awesome as well.
Man this is a wonderful blend of reads. Each one emotional, beautiful, passionate and about our wounded warriors. Wounded in spirit or physically, man or woman, raped, bullets, actions, threatened, closet heroes they have survived, kinda. We get drawn into their stories and their recovery. We laugh and cry with them and those that love them. This book is a tribute to the Honor the Sacrifice Organization that does work with the men and women who have given us freedom to be who we are. There is a detailed foreword that tells how the organization was started and what it’s all about. These three authors have provided us with amazing stories giving us an opportunity to contribute to something bigger and a small chance to say “Thank you for your service”.
Three heartwarming storylines that tug at your heart and make you understand about commitment, selflessness and honor. From the military man who helps the strong willed mother believe in love again, to the veteran who had horrible things happen to them behind enemy lines who learns that the past does not always reflect in our future and finally to the thought that even those who come across as hard and unapproachable can sometimes just need some help. Beautifully written characters and storylines that keep you wanting more, this book is a must read.
I throughly enjoyed all three stories in this anthology. All the stories contain a badass, feisty female and the perfect man to handle them. All three females has had to deal with some crappy experiences, but they’ve come out stronger due to that. All the male characters are former military men and have suffered due to their service. Luckily, Honor the Sacrifice was able to help them. No spoilers, but I recommend this book to everyone that enjoys a great MC anthology. Go grab your copy and get ready to fall in love with Bowen, Lee, and Max.
I loved all the stories. I am so honored to be able to purchase this Anthology to help towards the Honor The Sacrifice Org. What an amazing organization. Congratulations on a wonderful book.
