This is the first book-length treatment of the Irish border and related themes since Heslinga’s controversial The Irish Border as a Cultural Divide (3rd edn 1979). The approach is multidisciplinary and the papers focus on Partition and the history of the border, attitudes North and South of the border, political and cultural aspects of the border, cross-border relations and current developments concerning the border, including its European dimension.
