I just finished reading the Rescuers by Allan Zullo. This book is about kids that risk everything, even their lives for others. There are ten tragic stories in this book. These tragedies aren’t fake, these tragedies actually happened. The ten stories are house fires, falling through ice, hurricane, falling off a cliff, kid falling in a hole, kids getting hit by trains, explosions, climbing insane objects, avalanches, and horse accidents. My favorite part/story is the one with the explosion dealing with an automobile and all of his injuries. It’s my favorite part because it has an explosion in it. I like explosions. The part that I could really picture in my head was when the explosion actually happened. I would recommend this book to other students if they like action. After reading this book I felt sad because those things that I read about have actually happened in real life. I was also disappointed because the book was over. I was hoping that the book was a little bit longer with like two more stories. The book reminded me of all of the natural disasters that have happened. I made a prediction that the incidents would result in serious injuries or even death. I think the author wrote this book to tell stories about true accidents that can never be forgotten. This book has so much detail that I would think that it is in my top ten reads. I want to read other books by this author because he is awesome. I think that all of his books are about true stories
The Rescuers: Kids Who Risked Everything to Save Others, by Allan Zullo was an amazing story. This book is a nonfiction book about the amazing acts that kids did to save others. For example one child in particular ran into a flaming building to save four children that she was babysitting that night. Another child went down a confined space to save a little boy. He was claustrophobic but he went down anyway. These kids went above and beyond to save others and their acts won't be forgotten.
This book was an amazing book with great stories. My favorite part of this book, other than the stories, was the way he wrote. Each chapter was a different story and he told each in extreme detail. It felt like that would be something you would see on the news channel. Allan told with great passion and that's what made the story interesting. Overall this book was an amazing book to read.
I would recommend these books for young adults, teenagers. This book tells so many life lessons in the short 135 pages. It tells about friendship and kindness, perseverance and care. It shows you that you can be a good person, you just have to do things that will help others. You don't need to just into a burning car but help your classmate with the assignment if he's having trouble. It teaches everyone the importance of going out there because without most of these people, many would not be here with us without them.
The characters are Sarah who is the babysitter and she has long blond hair, Sally who is nine, her friend Marsha who is also nine, Raymond who is seven, Ginny who is five, Ellie who is three, and Bobby who is Sarah's boyfriend. Sarah is babysitting the kids and the parents don't want Bobby in the house, Sarah calls to tell him not to come by later like he was going to, but the phone was busy. Raymond decided to be super man while Sarah was putting the little ones' to bed Raymond got out a red towel and dropped some old rags while he was doing it. Sarah didn't know he had dropped stuff on the heater. Sarah had all the kids in bed and was relaxing when she smelled smoke. She went into the kitchen and a bunch of smoke came out. the house was on fire. Can Sarah save all the kids before it is to late.
The book The Rescuers by Allan Zullo was a very interesting. It was about how young ones get in life or death situations and risk their lives to save others lives. I thought the book was really good! It's amazing how many people risk their live to save others in life or death situations without a thought about it. It is very admirable! My favorite story was when the girl saved 4 or 5 little kids don a burning house. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes those types or books where you are on the edge or yours seat the whole time.
Incredibly interesting piece of work. The stories are based on actual true life events. Kids who risked their lives to help others. Every day heroes, under the age of 18. It gives me such hope for the future.
I think that this is really interesting book because when I start this book I loved it my mind just got to the book. I read it at school at home when I am eating and in night when I am in bed.

I really liked this book because it mad e me wonder and ask questions about myself. Like if i was stuck in any of these situations would i have the courage to save others. I also learned many things about like hurricanes how fires are started and more. I also wondered if I was in one of these situations with my brother who would take charge.
The Rescuers by Allan Zullo is a very interesting book. It is interesting because every chapter there is a different story on kids who risked everything to save others. Like the first chapter is about a babysitter how was watching 4 kids, one of them went to go get a red towel for a cape and the other towels fell down in front of the heater. The house lit up in flames and the babysitter had to keep running in and out of the burning house to save the kids. There isn't ever a main character for the whole book but there is one for each chapter. One story is about hurricane Katrina and how their house wasn't strong enough and collapsed, another one is a kid about fell off a cliff but then his friends made a human chain and saved him. But i think that the book if very interesting and every diffrent story makes it a little bit better.
