1. POV. Constantly shifting, even within one paragraph, sometimes sentence. Pick one Point of View, at least let Chapter. Stop the head hopping.
2. The overused tropes of "don't leave town" and "take him away". Wasn't funny with the first suspect, wasn't funny after the thirtieth.
3. Stick to one name for a character. Meg's mom was Beth through every story, until the last. Why is she suddenly referred to as Elizabeth for the last story? No explanation given...
Cozy mysteries another great series from Amelia Morgan. If you like a great mystery book you will enjoy this series. The characters are great and believable. They kept me guessing until the end. Thank you for another great series.
These stories are great cozy mysteries. I have read every one of these stories and they get better with each one. No swearing or sex. Just good clean mysteries that anyone can enjoy. The characters are great also.
Very entertaining read and Penelope the cat is a hoot!
Each of the stories were entertaining and kept you guessing about the outcome. Very clean reading with drama and several very tasteful romantic scenes. Will definitely be looking forward to more adventures.
I read this box set today. It was really good (obviously since I read them all lol looking forward to more. Can't wait to roundabout more about Pamela, and how Megs mother is going to react or grand lol
I loved the characters and the mysteries. Watching her become a PI though not licensed was entertaining and really had me guessing until the end of each book. Easy reading yet kept you interested. I really enjoyed them.
It was interesting to try and figure out who did it. I especially loved the interaction with Meg and her sassy Grandma Penelope the cat. Penelope made me chuckle always wanting food but no dry food for her.
Witches of Enchanted Bay Nine Book Set was a great read by Amelia Morgan. This box set consists of; Witches of Enchanted Bay, Ax To Grind, Killer Twist, A Bewitching Murder, The Nuts and Bolts of Murder, A Riddle of a Murder, Strangling Ambition, Therapy Can Be Murder, and Sick of Murder.
The series of books had a great flow of quirky. Characters and nice suspence. Well developed plot. I would recommend to all my friends and family to read.
I began these books with a feeling of anticipation. I ended up a little disappointed. The stories are fairly short but each book is complete. After reading several books the anticipation was gone. The stories followed a pattern with few surprises. The descriptions were very simular and the dialog happened over and over. I wish the stories had more twists and surprises. And for heaven's sake, there are very few men that would settle for a chaste kiss on the doorstep for years.
