Review of advance copy received from Netgalley
Revised edition of 20-year-old bio, timed for the 50th anniversary of El Caudillo's death. (Good riddance.) It covers the dictator's life in fairly concise fashion, but doesn't bring him to life. Read an advance copy of the US edition, forthcoming Feb 2026.

Read during my obsession with dictators. Mostly I picked this up because I wanted to understand the reference from Saturday Night Live.

It’s good as an entry book. I enjoyed it.
