To all my readers: Thank you. There’s no escaping the truth – without all of you, there wouldn’t be me, the author. Your support and kind words have taken me from being a new author who was unsure and panicked to an author with over twenty books under her belt. Okay, I’m still unsure and panicked, but I’m a work in progress. (Takes a sip of wine.)
I love sharing my stories with you and hearing how my characters have touched you and how you’ve cheered them on, cried with them, and even wanted to knock some sense into a few. Your encouragement has inspired me to continue on my writing journey. All the late nights, missed events, and looming deadlines have been worth it, knowing these stories have entertained and stayed with you long after the book was finished. Michelle XO
Possible triggers: severe homophobia, stalking, death threats, attempted murder, references to conversion therapy Good heavens, this author is KILLING me. It reminds me of another series I’m so fond of in a way. Not that things are exactly the same. Don’t misunderstand me. But the bonds these guys form and the family they form together. But their lives are by no means easy. Being a family full of cops and firefighters is bad enough, but when their lives are on the line from a moron….it makes for one heck of a book. And another one in this series I’m so happy to have gotten to read. Grady knew he made a mistake that almost cost him his job. He was thankful to Bo’s partner, Travis, for speaking up for him, even though it was Travis he made the mistake with. Now all he wants to do is get back to work. But he’s having a hard time concentrating on work at times, when the love of his life seems to keep rejecting him in a sense. Or at least making him feel like he’s just a hole to be used. He finally got the courage to come out and he doesn’t want to be back in the closet, but how can he stay away from Ben? But what Grady doesn’t know, is Ben loves him back just as much, but is trying to protect him from the danger that is now surrounding him. Ben knows he needs to tell Grady everything, but he’s so afraid. But the danger is now getting worse, when not only are Ben and Grady being targeted, but so is Grady’s friend, Tristan. And the people behind it are hiding in plain sight. Or one of them is. And the other, is the last person Grady would have thought of. Now they have to struggle to stay alive as the danger is now at red alert. Grady’s story broke my heart so bad. I hate parents who are such a*****oles about someone being gay, trans or whatever. Your job as a parent is to love them unconditionally. Heaven forbid someone is different. And then with all the crap he felt from Ben, just seemed to make things worse. He couldn’t figure it out. Ben seemed to act like he loved him, but why did he keep running away? And it hurt my heart so bad with all the doubt he felt at what should have been the happiest time of his life. But, then again, I understood Ben’s way of thinking as well. You always want to protect those you love. Sometimes when situations are dire, people don’t think about communication. They just think about saving their loved ones from harm. No matter what. So while I get Ben’s way of thinking, communication would have solved a lot of problems. But to Ben, it could have made things worse. So which way do you turn? I hate that they had to go through so much. I really do. They didn’t deserve what they were put through. But the important part of it all, is when communication finally entered the picture, it made all the difference. Unfortunately, some things were going to take time to heal and for the guilt to leave. But true family takes care of family and the love is true. Communication is key and not giving up is the next best thing. These stories are so well written and so good, you can’t put them down. But you will need tissues and such. They are all hard stories with backgrounds that break your heart. But love and true family save the day. And even though it’s fictional, it’s true in life as well. Find and hold on to your true family. Blood or not. And never let go. It’s what keeps you safe and sane. http://lovebytesreviews.com/
This may have been the juiciest one. That plot twist on the stalker was fantastic. I was shocked! Ben gave me the ick at the beginning.. he wouldn't tell anyone about the stalker. It was going on for what? Months? How could you not tell your cop brother, at least?? you're being stalked, and your cop boyfriend is being threatened, causing you to treat him like a piece of trashy ass to keep him safe.. tell someone weirdo. I liked him by the end, tho. He went through it in this. I think out of all the hospital visits in this series. Ben's was the worst.
There is quite a bit more action in this book from The Boys of Brighton series with Ben being sent threatening notes. This book starts out fast and just keeps going as more is revealed and it ends with a real bang. The relationship between the two main characters Ben and Grady starts out shaky but firms up as they try to find out who doesn’t want them to be together. I will warn you that there are a some real surprises in this book. A great action packed read.

Grady is the seventh book in the Boys of Brighton series by M. Tasia. This is a contemporary m/m romance with angst, stalker threats, suspense and hurt/comfort. Augh! I wanted to smack Ben at times. Grady deserved more honesty at times and my heart hurt for a bit. But a lovestory unfolds that made it up to me. This book was exciting and had me feeling emotions. Really cant wait to read more.
this one had more angst and action then the last one.. it was fun and interesting.. sexy and hott.. plus.. men in uniforms lol.. i did wish for more openess and honesty at times.. but they had to get through their own stuff before fixing themselves and each other.. and together they were perfection.
Grady finally starts to live a normal life after he was disowned by his family, forced to move to another city, change work, and had some problems in his new workplace. It seems that fate finally begins to favor him, especially since Grady is in a relationship with a man he loves. Unfortunately, it turns out that Ben Mason prefers to keep their relationship on the down low and although he does it out of concern for Grady's safety, he doesn't explain the situation to his lover. At some point, every step Ben takes hurts Grady and the feelings that should bring enjoy are only bringing pain.
We met Grady for the first time a few novellas ago and know little about him except that he is new in Brighton and acts in good faith first, thinks later. However, in this volume of "Boys of Brighton" we learn much more about him and in the blink of an eye we think of him as a lovely poor thing, who has to face this unfair world, who can't find happiness he deserves. Thus, we quickly forgive him for all he did to Travis in the previous volume, want to kiss him, hug him, take care of him. In this novella, Grady is shown in a way that really makes the readers turn into the members of the White Hair Crew – a group of caring grandmothers, who are always ready to help. What's more, all of this affects the way we look at Ben, who sometimes really awakens some negative emotions in us as we want to strangle him. Therefore, there is no doubt that thanks to the title character and the way he was shown in the story, reading "Grady" we are very involved in it.
"Boys of Brighton" series often shows us the image of two types of family – big, loving, supportive one and hateful, violent one that rejects its own members. "Grady" goes back to this problem, which is shown in accordance with a saying that you do not choose your family. I am mentioning this subject right now, because in this novella the topic has been somewhat expanded to a greater extent than before, and affects more characters. What's important, the part of plot that concerns the family problem seems so complex that it will undoubtedly have its continuation in the next volume. However, this is not all, as "Grady" also shows an interesting connection between family and police. It is believed that the family should protect us, just like the police. The problem is that both of them fail in some cases. So when we combine these two institutions and put emphasis on a kind of distortion of this entrusted role, we get something big, deep and really serious.
Finally, it is also worth noting that in the seventh novella in 'Boys of Brighton' series, we largely go back to the story building we remember from the beginning of the series, when the emphasis was put on the action straight from action films and some serious, life-threatening danger. I have to add, however, that the insight into the characters' psyche and their feelings that was developed in later volumes is still present in this one, but is simply combined with the said action. But don't worry, our characters don't end up in hospital as often as in the first installments of the series. In other words, "Grady" is a kind of hybrid that combines the way of building the plot from the beginning of "Boys of Brighton" and the one we saw in the "middle" volumes. At least that's how I'm seeing this novella.
To sum up, "Grady" is certainly a good and worth reading novella, which raises various emotions in the reader and thus makes them feel the need to really interact with the story and the characters, even if it is impossible. The fact that this story affects us so deeply is undoubtedly its best recommendation.

Grady has been seeing Ben. When they are together, everything is great and he's already fallen for that guy. The problem is that, for some reason, Ben doesn't want anyone to know they are dating. As usual, this story is told from the POV of both main characters... so as the reader you know much more than each of them.
Ben has a big secret.. and it's that someone has been sending him threatening letters. Most of the trouble comes because these two men can't seem to communicate with one another. They seem to bottle things up a bit. Ben, in particular, has a lot of stuff in his background that he hasn't told Grady about.
When Grady sees Ben out on a double date... he reaches his limit. He goes to visit his best friend... leaving Ben to mull over what he's done. I don't want to give away the details of the conflict in this one - it's a pretty decent plot and I don't want to ruin it. Suffice to say... when Grady finally returns to Brighton with his friend Tristan... things are tricky!
One of the themes in this particular installment of the Boys of Brighton series is care-taking and feeling protective of those you love. As a police officer, Grady feels as though he should be able to protect Ben. Ben is used to taking care of himself. He's a firefight and already deals with his brother Bo and the rest of the Mason family watching over him. There's a real push and pull between these two as they struggle to find a medium ground upon which they might both be able to take care of each other.
The danger escalates about halfway through this novella at which point the Sentinals get involved. As always this book has some great sex scenes and a lot of action despite its short length. There are a lot of characters in these stories so it probably makes the most sense to read them one right after the other. I think if I waited too long in between I would have trouble remembering what had happened to all the characters.
This was by far my favorite story of the Boys of Brighton series. The evocative themes were similar to past books, but I felt like the author took a real detour from the heteronormativity displayed in her previous stories here. She almost entered a world where she explored the possibility of having characters that were verse, but not quite. Because Grady and Ben had already been “seeing” each other when this book begins, there is no insta-love component. Also, aside from Dante and Spider in Sam”s Soldiers, this is the first time when the partners were matched physically and in the need and skill to be caretakers. Ben, the firefighter and Grady, the cop, are both first responders and both “following in their respective family lines of work.” Although there are smatterings on the dom/sub dynamic, Ben’s characters mentions a few times that this is the first time where he hasn’t been expected to “take control” all the time.
As a matter of fact in the rest of the books of this series the “submissive” character is usually the one who is hurt and in need of saving, where this book shows the character who is assigned as the more “dominant” is the one who is hurt and in need of caretaking. Ironically when the story begins, Ben is treating Grady like a hook-up to keep him safe, although Grady is in a much better position to keep Ben safe because of his love of work.
The twists and turns of this story were so rich. Spoiler alert, you will get more of this family dynamic in Shadow. You will learn more about Grady’s life before Brighton and the family that threw him away.
As I said in the beginning, definitely my favorite couple and my favorite book.

Each book just keeps better and better! And I am falling in love with each of these characters as we get to know each one in their own way. However, right now, I think that out of all the couples, the communication between Ben and Grady was the worst. Without giving too much away, things could have been avoided if the communication had been better. But I get why things were done the way they were. Ben is a firefighter who hasn’t been in a relationship in over 3 years. He had his heart broken and wasn’t sure he wanted to go through that again. Grady is a police officer who moved to Brighton to get away from his family who pretty much disowned him after he came out. When Ben and Grady met, it was an instant attraction, however, Ben wanted to keep things on the downlow – that was the only way they could ever have any type of contact. This began to bug Grady and he kept telling himself, no more. But the heart wants what the heart wants. Due to circumstances beyond his control, Ben wants to come clean with Grady, but doesn’t want to put him in any jeopardy. When push comes to shove and the secrets come out, there isn’t anything that can keep Ben and Grady apart.
Once again, another great story and I just love how M Tasia is able to bring to light just some of the troubles we have in today’s world. The passion and love between these characters is something that everyone wishes they can find, but is not always lucky to find it. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series and see what happens with Grady’s friend Tristan and Vincent! The Boys of Brighton are Back at it Again! Book 7 from M. Tasia’s Boys of Brighton series of steamy M/M romance novellas is another winner! In “Grady,” we catch up with Bo’s brother, Ben Mason, a sexy-as-sin firefighter who has been a presence throughout the series. He’s hiding a dangerous secret in addition to the feelings he has for the new cop in town. Grady is gorgeous and damaged, having lost his whole family when he came out. He finds an opportunity to begin a new life enveloped in the acceptance of the Brighton community, and he soon loses his heart to Ben as well. These two have to fight HARD for their chance at happiness, and the HEA they so desperately want is neither easily-won nor guaranteed. As always, I am awed by the sense of family infused in each of these books, and I enjoy “catching up” with the previous characters in the series. With action, drama, aww moments, super-steamy love connections, and a handsy blind date in the mix, this is such a wonderfully entertaining read.
A burden shared is a burden halved. Grady, comes out and looses his family, his cheating boyfriend, Tony and job in the Dallas PD. His Dad took a hatchet to his reputation, so he resigned. His Dad's reach was long, and no one would hire Grady. He moves to Brighton and starts at the bottom, hoping to prove himself. He pulls his gun on fellow officer Bo's boyfriend, Travis and gets suspended. He falls in love with Ben Mason, firefighter who wants to keep their relationship on the downlow. Grady tries because he deeply in love. Then he refuses to be Ben's secret. Grady, after having several significant emotional events that reposition his life's direction, decides to grab control of his life. Ben is under duress and not sharing it with anyone not even Bo his brother. Will Ben survive his problem? Is Grady in danger? Will the Sentinels be needed? This one was fun because it's not sweet and tidy. Great story, nice friends and family support group. Nicely done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was given a free arc copy from the author for review.
4.5 stars. I had to leave off half a star at least due to the lies and that awful date. Even though the reasoning in the end was justified, it still was horrible. Other than that I loved this one. Unlike some of the other books in this series that can be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend reading Travis before this one so u understand what the beginning of this book is referencing in terms of past events. These 2 made a great couple and were likeable characters. The plot was a definite page turner and pretty angsty especially near the end. This particular one was low heat due to circumstances but I didn't even miss it. There's just too much else going on to hold my interest it wasn't needed. I loved the very sweet ending. I am looking forward to reading Vincent and Shadow.
I thoroughly enjoyed Grady. There is good continuity between it and the previous books, drawing previous characters and circumstances into this work that are well placed and are supportive of the current storyline and characters. It’s good to reconnect with them and see how they are progressing in their own stories. The issue keeping Ben and Grady apart is an interesting twist, and I admit it took me a while to figure it out. Their love and passion are strong, and their HEA is satisfying and believable. Tristan is like a breath of fresh air in the heaviness of this work. I hope his story comes soon. I read and reread this series, and it’s good every time. I look forward to more from this author.
This series is recommended to be read in order as other books intertwine with characters from previous stories. The book is filled with lots emotions such as angst and hurt and more which I loved keeping me reading. Dramatic scenes had me glued to this as I need to know things would work out. I loved the fire scene in this and especially loved the ending. Grady's past hasn't been cheery just the opposite but its not over yet. I cant wait to read Vincent's story, I really hope Sonny is found soon too. Grady rejoins the Brighton Police force in this story and vows not to stuff up. He was in love with his secret lover emphasis on secret as Ben is deeply deeply in the closet making Grady question it all. But Ben is holding a secret which puts them in all in danger.
The premise for this novel is interesting-- a secret relationship, a stalker, a whole lot of missed signals and miscommunications. I think there's a lot of potential in this story, but for me, it wasn't ever realized. Characters made, time after time, decisions that made absolutely no sense, not just about personal security, but also emotions. There was no logical flow or progression-- people were mad, then not-mad, then mad again. The plot had many twists and turns but most were implausible at best, which made it hard to get caught up in the narrative. Tl;dr: I liked the possibilities of this book, but the final product didn't really work for me.

This series gets better and better with each book! Grady and Ben had my emotions all over the place from start to finish. The pain they went through hurt my heart. I may have wanted to slap some sense into Ben a few times, though I understand why he did what he did.. even if I don't agree with it. There was a lot of action and suspense in this story that kept me guessing throughout. I especially love whatever is going on with Tristan and Vincent, and am so excited for Vincent's story next! My heart broke again for Grady towards the end, and I cannot wait to find out what happens with Shadow on his search for Randy. This is another great story from M. Tasia and the Boys of Brighton!
This was a nice addition to the Brighton Boys. But....Grady and Ben sucked at communication. That’s the major premise of this book. It’s what kept them apart and made their lives much more difficult than it needed to be.
I did enjoy the book. I’m reading all the books in order fairly quickly so they tend to blend sometimes. I’ve said before how much time they spend in the hospital, well this had a double dose.
The Sentinels were front and center, more so than in the last couple of books. The books are coming to an end soon so live it up and read the whole series!
Review Copy requested and reviewed on behalf of OMGReads.
Grady a probationary policeman and Ben a fireman have found each other and it is getting hot. Ben is keeping Grady a secret from everyone as he has a stalker that tells Ben that Grady will be killed unless Ben gives him up. Lots of secrets, misunderstanding, hurt feelings and finally near death for Ben before the truth comes out. Even with the whole police force, family, friends and the Sentinels all helping, the death attempts continue and they can't find the stalker. It is quite a mystery and Ben is kidnapped before the villain is finally revealed. We get a hard fought HEA and a satisfying story. Highly recommended.
With each book I read, I love this series more and more. I loved all the characters in this town and getting to know more and more of them over the course of the series is such a treat. This work was full of twists and turns that I didn't see coming. I loved watching the characters come to terms with the past, along with coming to terms of secrets hidden from each other in the present. I loved this book and couldn't wait to devour the next in the series.
I give this a five out of five stars.

I love M. Tasia but BRADY wasn't my favorite Boys of Brighton book it was well written, but I found the chemistry between Grady and Ben to be at a simmer when the rest of the boys chemistry with the men in their books were white hot. I found myself more intrigued with what was going to happen with Tristan and Vincent then what was happening with Ben and Grady. still a good book. I give it a 3.80/5
I am so glad that Ben and Grady to their story...and their HEA. It was quick moving and thrilling and the bad guy was quite a twist at the end. I am happy everything managed to work out and loved that many of the characters from previous books made an appearance.
Another lovely addition to this series! The only thing I didn't understand about Ben was that he never went to his brother about the problem he was having... he never talked to Grady about it either, which with Bo and Grady being cops he could have said something and they all could have been on the lookout. I liked how everything came to end, I don't think any other way would have done it.
Grady came out as gay his father disowned him and he lost his job as a cop also. So he moved to Brighton and found Ben at a family barbecue, Ben kept their affair secret because of a stalker threatening to hurt Grady. The stalker did damage on Ben but he made it through. The stalkers were a surprise but if I really thought about it, I can see that the stalker was who it was. Great book!
As we reach book seven, this is the story of Grady Reynolds and Ben Mason. With a firefighter and a police offer, one would think these two had better communication, but no, not at all.
Turns out, keeping your relationship on the DL, can be a disaster waiting to happen. Despite being head over heels for the Grady, Ben can't seem to open up and tell him the truth.
Risk losing the one you love or be honest and risk uncertain danger. Soon, neither of them will have a choice.

I love all the Boys of Brighton books so far can't wait for the next one. I wish the world was as accepting and understanding as the make believe town in the state of Texas of all places. Please keep writing you brighten my life.
i loved this book! i love this author! i loved Ben and Grady! but i'm not gonna lie, they sucked at communication. lol it all worked out in the end, no thanks to Ben. but their love felt real. i can't wait for more in this series. i adore the boys of brighton. would def recommend.
Never wanting to give away twists and turns, thus book keeps you guessing, the romance is hot as usual (M.Tasia) doesn't disappoint. A great read as is the series.
Sweet, sexy, adventurous and funny. Each book makes me look forward to the next one. I am looking forward to see what happens with Vincent and Tristan and finding Gray's family.
A good quick uncomplicated, no great thought needed to read bk and series. Enjoyable and Entertaining. Insta Love, Insta Relationship, Insta Connection. Worth the read. Recommend. Series best read in order.
I was so glad for Ben and Grady to get their HEA. They sucked at talking to each other! Full of angst, death threats, stalker issues and suspense. Overall a good story!! I am voluntarily leaving a review form an ARC that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
