Two self-assured men are about to find out what happens when they come face-to-face with what neither realizes they’re searching for…each other.
Ben Jameson is a very successful club owner who likes things the way he likes them. He tried the serious relationship routine a few years ago, and that ended badly. Since then, he’s put in place carefully-constructed rules that he steadfastly lives by: Work hard, treat people fairly and absolutely no fooling around with his employees—ever. However, when his new head bartender waltzes into his life, Ben finds it nearly impossible to deny his attraction to the carefree, handsome man who makes him want to shatter his own rules, take a walk on the wild side, and live a little…if he dares.
Jared Jensen has moved to California from Chicago seeking a brand new start. In Chicago, he left behind an unsettling situation that caused monumental upheaval in his life. The very last thing on his mind is getting involved with anyone…but then he meets Ben Jameson, and all bets are off. Not even the fact that Ben is his new boss can deter Jared from honing in on the gorgeously frustrating man who’s determined to keep their relationship on a strictly professional level.
As resolute as Ben is to keep Jared at arms’ length, Jared’s doubly focused on getting Ben to acknowledge—and surrender to–the palpable lust exploding between them. All he wants is a chance to show Ben how good they can be together…and he won’t rest until Ben breaks his ridiculous rules and grabs the unexpected chance they’ve both been given to find a love unlike any other.
What Jared doesn’t count on, though, is his past coming back to savagely bite him, just as Ben decides to give their relationship a chance. An impossible decision soon looms before Jared: Will he have to leave the one man who means everything to him in order to keep him safe?
C. J. is first and foremost an avid reader of romance. Nothing is better than watching two strong-willed people meet, connect and work through personal challenges while fighting to overcome internal and outside obstacles to be together.
C. J. believes that love is love, and if you’re ever lucky to find it, you should hold onto it with both hands and feet. C.J. writes love stories filled with emotion and hopes you—the reader—will enjoy them as much as C.J. enjoys creating them.
This was my favourite of the trilogy but even this one has a few issues and, as the others, turned into a sexual extravaganza on near my every other page at one point.
Ben and Jared went to the top of my list because they were the most 'grown up' - by which I mean they acted and read like a pair of guys in their 30s/40s - although there was still a daft bit of faffing about at the begin when Ben tried to ignore his attraction to Jared.
There's a couple of side stories, one involving Ben's toxic mother, the other descending a bit in to WTFery at one point before all is resolved quite nicely.
This book is also a much more reasonable length for the narrative and includes all the other characters from the previous two popping in.

4.50 Stars Breaking the rules is the third book in the Infinity series. I would suggest you read book 1 & 2 because the main characters from those books feature quite a bit in this instalment. Infinity is actually a nightclub/restaurant/bar owned by Ben. He employs a new head barman (Jared). Ben thinks Jared is breathtaking, there is only one problem, no fraternising with staff. Jared doesn't like that rule one little bit and sets out to shatter Ben's world, because Jared things Ben is equally hot. It's funny watching Jared get under Ben's skin, and you can't help feel for Ben, he's trying to keep his distance, but getting jealous if anyone looks Jared's way. Needless to say, Jared wins and Ben relents, that's when things really heat up on page. These two men were hot, there coming together was awesome. Unfortunately just when everything is going great, something from Jared's past shatters their world. So we have the obligatory angsty scenes, and a little heart-stopping drama. I can't say anymore in fear I may give too much away, however, what I will say is I really really enjoyed these two, they were quite a bit older than the first two books and they were perfect for each other. I recommend this book, and the series. It can be read as a stand alone if you have to, but the story would definitely flow better for having read the first two.
I've enjoyed all the characters in this series, but Ben and Jared are my favorite couple so far. Their banter and Jared's plan of action for convincing Ben to break his rules made for some chuckle worthy moments in the story. This one, like the others, is a bit longer than I felt necessary, but we get a bit of suspense and danger to keep things moving. There is a light bit of angst off and on, but issues are resolved quickly as they arise with the exception of the suspense that starts with Jared's reason for moving to California and progresses from there. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone, but we do get peeks at past couples and I can't imagine meeting them and not wanting to know more. The fantastic characters in this series are one of my favorite things about it. They're all witty and absolutely adorable. All in all, another entertaining and sexy read in the Infinity series.
Ben owns the Infinity. A successful bar he loves. He works long hours, allowing no time for a boyfriend. Living by an unbreakable rule he created several years ago that he never breaks. Absolutely no getting involved with employees.
Then he hires Jared, beautiful, irresistible, and determined to get Ben in bed. Wanting him from the second he walks into Bens office. Ben never stood a chance. Their relationship quickly heats up. These guys are smoking hot together and there is a lot of sex. Both strong willed and even though Ben fights it they quickly become what the other needs.
This is a great addition to the Infinity books. Family, good and bad, has played a big part in these books and this one is no different. Add a crazy person into the mix and it's entertaining reading. I think it's the best of the series.

Sizzling connections and shared interests can lead to real love. Sometimes to get what we need we have to break our own self imposed rules and trust someone. Ben and Jared find real happiness and love as they spend time together and become friends and lovers.
Story was well written with lots of great interactions with all the characters. The story-line was engaging and i know i thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
Jared has a past that will find him in the present and will endanger everything he holds dear. Working together these men and their friends will navigate finding and holding onto love.
It was great to see the MC's from previous books continue to play a role in the latest story.
I was gifted this book from the author and i freely give my review
This is another great book in the Infinity series. It is well-written, fast-paced and entertaining. Ben is a workaholic who has forgotten how to have fun. He meets Jared when he hires him as the head bartender for his club, Infinity. They have an instant attraction but Ben has a strict rule against dating employees. Jared is determined to change Ben's mind and he is not above playing dirty to do it. There are a lot of twists and turns in this story when Jared's past catches up to him. Ben and Jared are an interesting couple and I really enjoyed their story. It was also great to catch up with Ty, Jax, Simon and Brandon, the couples from the previous books. I was given an ARC to review by the author.
This was probably my favourite of theThis was probably my favourite of the trilogy. Ben and Jared connect immediately, and while there is some hesitancy acknowledging the attraction, they quickly become friends.
There is some angst in this book, however, the MCs, along with their friends, overcome this, and eventually find happiness.
I don't want to give away any details, but I did enjoy seeing and catching up with the characters from previous books continue to play a role in the latest story.
A decent end to the trilogy, well written, with well developed characters.
ben and jared were adorable and i loved them, this was my fave in the series so far. hopefully there will be more. i loved the boss/employee to lover story. would def recommend.
