favourite character/s: whimsy mordaunt
i love this book duo. the ending is so sweet and doesn’t feel rushed or disappointing. it’s the perfect, wholesome ending we all needed for this book. i love the characters and the imagery in this book. i definitely prefer the first one a bit more but i am still so so in love with this book and will happily pick up any future works of rebecca.

Beautifully illustrated and a great end to this tale. My favourite book duo and overall although I definitely prefer the first one. I really really really love the ending. I got this in 2019 from big w for $15.

This is a must read! These books deserve way more recognition. I also did a review on the first one where I go into a lot more depth. I recommend this for ages 10-11+

Second of two books and really it was a dragged out tale that could have been told in one book an d cut a lot of extraneous material out, not bad, but overly long and in the end you were barracking for it to end, more than anything else.

In which a bunch of random things happen (part 2).

I think a bit of an epilogue would have been a nice touch,
