Being a vampire sure bites… Lindsay Roselle’s biggest worry should have been what to wear under her gown at her college graduation, not how she was going to survive the night as a newly turned vampire. After catching the attention of the Rogue, a vampire out to destroy the Vampire Nation, Lindsay was forced to undergo the change herself. Convinced she’s fated for an end worse than death, Lindsay had all but given up until she’s rescued...by the last person she ever expected to see again.
Kayden Paris wasn’t anything like the playboy Lindsay remembered from the night they shared together...and she wouldn’t have forgotten the fangs. Kayden is the heir to his vampire clan and son of the mightiest warrior in the Vampire Nation, but even he may not be able to heal all the wounds Lindsay suffered at the hands of the Rogue.
In a life fraught with secrets, lies, and deadly enemies, Lindsay must first learn to trust herself in order to survive.
I was so excited when I knew that Kayden was going to get his own book! And this story did not disappoint! I loved how even if you had not read or just needed a touch up of previous events and characters it was all explained in detail. There were stories that intertwined and gave a wonderful addition to this entire book. I extremely enjoyed every thing about this book. Very well written. And seriously intense plot twists! I would absolutely recommend grabbing this book!!
When Kayden and Lindsay come together in one night of unbridled hunger and passion, a relationship between them is not one that has the possibility of enduring. He is a vampire, and she is a completely normal human, which would only make their lives impossible to comfortably coincide.
5 years later...
Kayden Paris has completely changed from the unconcerned young man he was when he and Lindsay first met. Dealing with the fallout of the major upheaval in the society of vampires, his life has taken a turn from his once easy existence where he had met an innocent girl like Lindsay.
Lindsay Roselle's simple, yet lonely existence has been completely shattered. Finding herself a prisoner of vampires, she has been brainwashed and subjected to many horrific experiments. And her only hope of rescue has long since passed...
When Kayden and Lindsay meet again, he is her only anchor in her tumultuous recovery and entrance into a world where her knowledge is extremely limited. Once lovers, now friends, their relationship that used to seem so impossible has now become something they never thought they could have...

I absolutely love the Forbidden Bond series, and after an incredibly long wait, Unmerciful has delivered with another epic story.
Lindsay was a young college student whose life was completely ruined when she became friends with the wrong person. After being rescued from her torture, she has a long and difficult road to recovery. Kayden is someone who has always drawn her, and now that she is finding herself struggling to overcome her issues, he is the only person who makes her feel whole again.
Kayden is a big deal in vampire society. Full of regret for what happened to Lindsay and wishing things for them could have been different, he tries his hardest to ensure that he isn't taking advantage of her now in her weakened state.
With people on the loose who still pose a very real danger, and no one knowing who they can really trust. Everyone is on high alert in the need to bring the society back to the safe order it once consisted of...
With the revisiting of old characters (Griffin and Tessa!), and a new story line filled with drama, suspense and a whole lot of hot vampire alpha goodness, this book is a paranormal must read!
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
Sigh… Guess it was too much to ask for this not to end in a cliffhanger?!?! Since it was published in 2018 I will not be holding my breath for it to be finished 🤷🏽♀️
I have been given an arc of this book in order to give an honest review. The author has worked hard on making this story happen and it really shows no every chapter . You don’t need many pages to reacquaint yourselves with the characters in the series, they are still kicking butt and taking names! The couple at the centre of this episode will not disappoint, strong yet vulnerable and ready to fight for what’s right. The plot lines are seamless, the twists are surprising yet not so fast that you are easily confused and some of the lose ends of previous books are tied up just nicely in readiness for the epic cliff hangers and revelations which will lead nicely into the final instalment. Cannot wait for the book 4 and the answer to so many of the questions this story creates. Thank you Cat Miller for giving us your latest baby to look after, it has been a most enjoyable few days.
****I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review****
Worth the wait! There is so much more going on in this book then the first two put together and I love it! The love stories always gets me but the crazy twists had me wondering and guessing what was going to happen next even when I wasn’t reading the book. I’m glad she took her time writing this and didn’t rush it and gave us another truly great story.
I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review. I’m a major fan of this series and I was not disappointed with book 3! At every turn, this roller coaster of a ride would throw me for a loop, in a good way! Intense fights, surprising deaths, betrayals, babies and some happily ever afters!!! But you’ll have to read to find out! This book is a complete mind f**k and I enjoyed every bit of it! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!!!
I loved this series until this book. I am pretty angry that the series is being extended to over 3 book. This book had too much repetition about the other 2 books that it made me so bored and I ended up speed reading through most of the book to get to the story line. It seemed to drag and drag. Even the story line had a lot of repetition on how they felt. Then the end of the book had misspelling and weird words. Where was the editor? The ending felt rush and forced like a rush to get it released. I am really disappointed with the wait for this book, the repetition, another cliffhanger, and how many book will it take to have an ending? Argh!
I am so mad about this book I have to ask these questions:
Who was unmerciful? Sheena? Book 1 and 2 had great power, but this book failed with this title. Book 2 we have David rescued and should have had such great power from sucking all the abilities for 25 years off of other vampires. But he was just a weak background person.
The ending for Sarah and David was anti-climactic and weak. Come on for one very powerful vampire David’s story line was weak.
Brandi and Dani weren’t in this book.
I assumed Samantha would have great power. It was alluded to in book 2 but nothing in book 3 other then a nicer Samantha. And JR had power before the big sister? That storyline arrangement was also lacking.
The three-way love story between Griffin, Tessa and Reilly was neatly put together without much bang.
Lindsey and Kayden’s story was good – but a lot of repetition of feelings and insecurities. It was irritating and I assumed from where the storyline was taking us that it would have been Lindsey with some awesome power that was unmerciful.
I am just so mad at where this book took us – nowhere. If I knew it would be like this, I would have stopped at book 2.
I was honored with an ARC in exchange for an honest review... But let's be honest, I have this book pre-ordered and will buy the Audible version ASAP as well 😉
Cat Miller is an expert on love. Seriously. Unmerciful is a tribute to how well she is able to brand our hearts and souls with the characters she has so carefully created. Not only will the newest book in her Forbidden Bond series have you swooning like a love sick teenager, you will be completely entranced in the love scenes that are hot, hot, hot. It is a breath of fresh air to enter a romance series that doesn't follow the same projected plan just with different characters in each book. I seriously thought I was past being suprised but Cat Miller had me on the edge of my seat more times than I can count. I literally could predict nothing! It is imperative that you grab this book and sink back into Vampire Nation, a hot bath and a glass of wine are optional but strongly recommended.
Great read! I love the characters even more with each book. The storyline is an amazing continuation of the other books, so you really get to know each characters. I recommend reading the whole series prior to reading this one.
The book was fast paced and kept you on the edge of your seat the whole time. There were well placed twist and turns that I never saw coming.
I LOVE THE FORBIDDEN BONDS SERIES. In the 3rd installment of the Forbidden Bonds series, we finally get Lindsey and Kayden’s story. Since I first found Cat Miller years ago with the 1st Forbidden Bonds book, I have been a fan and a supporter of her work. She has a way of creating this paranormal world where vampires exist, that just captures you.
Lindsey is recently converted to a vampire and learning how to survive in a world she didn’t ask to become a part of. The background of Lindsey and what all she has endured, is utterly devastating. We do get such an amazing story of Lindsey and Kayden though, and that is what I love about this book. Through all the things she has endured, never could she imagine falling for a vampire. She is learning to navigate this world and who to trust, and finds that in Kayden. I don’t know what more to say about these two other than, read it! As Cat has developed these characters over the past years, she has grown so creative as a writer I simply adore this book. This is the best of the series! And for more reasons than I can list here without giving away spoilers.
Throughout this installment we get caught up with our favorite characters, while also getting more behind some that have been in the background before. This however, does still mainly focus on Kayden and Lindsey’s story. I do love reading a series where you never know from one chapter to the next who’s POV you will encounter. In this book, she does just that. We get POV and more to the story of Griffin. Along with that, Tessa. I have been rooting for these two since the first book, and we finally get some answers in Unmerciful.
Cat Miller is one of the best humans I have met since beginning this book journey myself 6 years ago, and I can't wait to see what is next from her.
This was my first book by Cat Miller and the first one I've read in this series and although this can be read as a standalone I really think you should have read the other books in this series before getting into this one. Cat does a good job of recapping on some of the events in the previous two books in this story, but I definitely feel I'm missing out on a lot of the plot points and the characters by jumping straight into this one. I did enjoy this, its a good PNR read, so will go back and start at the beginning!
This is Lindsay and Kayden's story.
Kayden is the son of one of the elite vampires, top of the food chain, highly respected and will have a very important job in years to come. He's hot and sexy, but not one for emotional ties, a playboy at heart. He had a one night stand with Lindsay years ago, was totally and utterly enthralled by her, and scared of his feelings and unable to be in a relationship he stayed away from her. Its not until years later that he meets her again, as a newly changed vampire herself, that has had to deal with an awful lot in the past few years - her story is heartbreaking and she is very much a victim. This is the story of them after this second meeting, their undeniable attraction is still there, but there is a lot of change that has happened to them both, and they have a lot to learn and a lot to get through.
Kayden is very much the Alpha, but is big hearted, caring and will do anything to help Lindsay get better. Lindsay has gone through so much already, and has a lot to get through still, but only Kayden can help her get there.
Full of twists and turns in the plot, there was a lot going on in here and it certainly kept me on my toes reading it!!
First I want to start out by saying that this was my first story from this author. Second I don’t believe I will read the others in this series since this give into the past of the others without all the added words. Now I not impressed with the ending since the ending for the main characters Kayden and Lindsey and a HFN ending but her half sister has escaped taking the knowledge of their father and the leader of the rouges really is with her. Everything is just stopped. So the other characters that were pretty mush the other half of this story was Griffin and Tessa, mostly Griffin. There was tension, a runaway fake mate and then Griffin chased Tessa down and then they’re together but lots of obstacles in the way, their story also ends in a HFN ending. So really to even get more of Kayden and Lindsay I have to wait for the next book? Or will that basically be Sam and Hawk and her father and Tessa? I don’t know how I didn’t get confused with all the back and forth from these 4 people and others that had their own POVs, like David, Sheena, & Sarah. I’m not disappointed in this story was it was entertaining and I stayed up reading til the end but I like a hint as to come with their HFN.
*** I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review ***
First of all, I've been following Cat since she published Unbound back in 2014, and it has been awesome to watch her grow as an author from the beginning! The Forbidden Bond series quickly became a favorite of mine, and just like many others, I've been awaiting anxiously for Unmerciful to come out!
Simply put, I really loved this book. Kayden has always been one of my favorite characters, so I was ecstatic to hear he was getting his own story and Cat did not dissapoint.. Although I loved (and still do) the first two books in the series, Unmerciful is richly filled with so much more story than the others. There were enough twists and turns to keep you at the edge of your seat, but not so many that it seemed like overkill. I loved watching Kayden and Lindsey's story unfold, heartache and all. I cannot wait to see what they're up to in the future!
Also, although all three books flow nicely together, Unmerciful does a great job recapping important information from the first two in a way that isn't boring or redundant. It could definitely be read as a standalone if someone happened to pick it up without reading the others first.
Wow! Just wow! I'm speechless! Unmerciful (The Forbidden Bond Series #3) blew me away!
Cat Miller has a unique style of writing about the paranormal world of vampires. Her creative imagination will send you on a crazy ride of emotions as you hungrily flip though the pages as its your last meal. The unexpected twists and turns will have you gasping for a breath.
You feel as though you are standing beside the characters searching and fighting the Rogue and its Shade army.
Unmerciful is an intense read filled with betrayal, deceit, mystery, suspense, action packed drama and hot steamy scenes with a sprinkle of humour. It will touch your heart and soul.
I loved Kayden and Lindsey's love story. She had been dealt a bad hand throughout her life only to find her true mate and protector. Kayden has a big heart and all alpha. His unconditional love helps Lindsey heal and fight the demons of her past.
This series would make a great mini series. I would strongly recommend this masterpiece! Can't wait for next installment to soothe my addiction to this series!!
I started this series a few years ago and decided to do a re read and was very excited when I spotted this one. Then I started to read it sadly there was lots of plot mistakes. I think if I can tell that a character has a different name to the previous book in the series where it was his book surely the Author would know this fair enough if they had been know by two names like Danni in book one is. Sadly this was not the case and then to change a story line from before yeah no. Griifin became the person who was meant to be kidnapped in a plot by Sarah in this book yet in the previous book it was his son who was kidnapped by the masters minion's and he was kidnapped because wrong place wrong time. Sadly for me this was a big fat disappointment.

I absolutely love this series, its a fresh take on Vampires. Cat Miller has created a new vampire world that keeps you on the edge. I loved it from the first book and all the characters even though I wanted to strangle a couple of them. Kayden has been one of my favorites and I wanted him to have his chance at telling his story. He’s such a strong, alpha character but is also kind with a big heart that doesn’t let people in easily. Lindsay has been through hell she’s had her life torn a part and thrown into a world she didn’t know existed. This is an incredible story with a lot of twist and turns with steamy goodness.
I absolutely loved this story! I’ve been waiting for Kayden to find his mate since book one, and discovering that he had actually met her before the first book even began was such a wild twist. He has grown so much over the course of the previous two books, and I’m so glad he finally got his happily ever after. Lindsey, on the other hand, deserved so much better than the way she was introduced into the vampire world. She was used as a pawn in someone else’s game, and it was heartbreaking to see her thrown into a situation she had no control over. But I couldn’t have been happier that Kayden was the one meant for her—because who he had become by the time he found her was exactly the person she needed in that moment. I hated that peace wasn’t something she got to hold onto for long, but I was so happy that, despite everything, she found her mate and the happily ever after she deserved. This book was emotional, intense, and so satisfying—I couldn’t put it down!
I’ve discovered a new author and I will be reading more of her work. Even though this was the third book in the series I didn’t feel like I wasn’t lost it recapped the major, important points from the first two books. This book centers around Lindsey and Kayden with some of the previous books characters thrown in. This was a fast paced and twisting and turning book. I can’t wait for look for to come out. I highly recommend this book!!
** I voluntarily read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review **
I haven’t felt this inadequately satisfied since my ex-husband!!! You read all these books, get wrapped up in the lives of all these characters and then poof…sucky ending that leaves you feeling unfulfilled and wondering WTF!!! I even went searching the internet to see if there was a fourth book that I had missed, or maybe one in the works but no such luck there!!! I really liked these books, until the last disappointing chapters.
Loved the series! But I need things wrapped up in a nice little box.. so many things that didn’t get sorted. 1. Where is Docs fated mate? 2. Who is Lindseys Dad? 3. What happened to Sheena? 4. Who hired Dr. Fitz? Who was she reporting to? 5. Hawk and Samantha? 6. If the prophecy was about Dani and Chase why did the spirts show themselves to Kayden and Lindsey? Come on!!! I need another box to tie up all my loose ends

I read the 3 books back to back. The second book did not reiterate the first book. It picked up where the first ended. This third book though reiterated the stories from the second book many times through many chapters. I would have stopped reading it if I wasn’t committed to the story line. It was frustrating as a reader. Toward the end of the book scenes from this book were reiterated.
Emotional Rollercoaster of a book!! ByStephanie B.on May 22, 2018 Format: Kindle Edition I received an ARC copy in exchange for my honest review. Cat Miller has a way with words. Her books keep you on the edge and they don't disappoint. This book is no different. I loved Kayden and Lindsey's story. It had me on an emotional rollercoaster and I loved every minute of it!
Any book by this author is highly recommended by this reader. This series is amazing and I can't wait for more!! I'd recommend it for mature adults due to some steamy romance. The characters are complex and so lovable.
This book was a roller coaster for me... Kept me high in the air, sometimes dipping, sometimes climbing the heights of expectations and finally, leaving me hanging at the edge of a cliff.... I loved this wild ride. Looking forward to the next book
This series is one of the best I’ve read so far I can’t wait to read anymore books to come which I hope there’s many more to come so I can read them thank you author for a great read......
Can’t stop reading the series although it’s becoming harder. This was good but slow. About 3/4 in it felt like it was on fire then ended abruptly and of course on a cliff hanger. Still enjoy the characters and will read the next one.
