When Rion moved in with a random human, he never dreamed he’d be sharing the apartment with his one true mate. In spite of his tendency to keep humans at arm’s-length, he finds himself growing closer to Elliott. Once he accepts that his handsome roommate is The One, all he has to do is tell Elliott. There’s just one problem: the Alpha Parliament. If Rion can’t convince Elliott to let him claim him, the Parliament will erase the man’s memory and remove him from Rion’s life forever…
His roommate was up to something…
The first time Rion came home after a full moon he claimed he had been attacked by a stray dog. Elliott made a joke about werewolves, but when it happened again, and again, on every full moon, Elliott couldn’t resist following his roommate. He didn’t think Rion would actually turn into a wolf before his eyes. Now, Rion is talking about true mates, immortality, and shifters. He says if Elliott agrees, he’ll turn him into a wolf too, one capable of bearing their children. Time is running out for Elliott to decide if he’ll agree to spend forever with a man he has only just met. Elliott isn't sure what is scarier: full moons or pregnancy, but when they discover a man has been stalking Rion, he has a new fear to add to his list: werewolf hunters.
His Omega Roommate is a novella about taking chances, finding out what it means to be a family, and the fun of trysts in the forest. It contains some good, old-fashtioned M/M loving in multiple positions, and wouldn't be complete without knotting!
Please note: This book is Book One in the Full Moon Mates series, but was released after The Last Alpha Dragon so if you read that first, you'll find this one is set earlier in the timeline. They can, however, be read in any order.
This was just ok. I thought the world building just didn’t work for me. The story seemed rushed. I don’t care for books with wolf hunters, so that was a turn off.
I just wished that there were more conversations between them, chemistry, sexual tension, and build up. They literally just said I love you to each other after a few small talks it's just such a waste.
One of the worst books I’ve ever read. The characters were lifeless and the plot line was completely boring. The birth scene was longer than all 3 months of them getting to know each other. Why write a romance when we don’t get to read any romance? “As soon as you meet your true mate - life will be perfect because your personalities will perfectly mesh.” “I have no family or friends so I’m perfectly ready to leave everything behind.” “The bad guy looked at me and then ran away”. There we go, that’s the whole story. No drama, no hardship, no character, nothing. We get nothing from this.

DNF, I tried. I really tried it, too much happening and then it felt like the author was making stuff up as they write the story. Not very well thought out.
First of 8 in the Full Moon Mates series, Cole sets up an alt-world shifter universe. Wolf shifter Rion leaves Half Moon Island for his "year away". His human internet-sourced roommate Elliott turns out to be his true mate. Rion's explanations of this shifter world to Elliott allows the reader to understand the alt-world structure and rules. A threat triggers an early return to the family compound, at which point the story ends. Cole writes well to establish the main characters, with middling heat in the intimate scenes. The plot follows several time jumps which keep the story moving and not dropping into tedium. MPREG is handled without going over the top with drama.
I really liked the beginning of the book with Room's family, and then meeting Elliot. But she part about Elliot following him to the bunker and finding out that he's a shifter is a little campy ....like old werewolf campy movie. But once you get past that chapter, it be ones really good and a little intriguing with the appearance of the hunters. It sets the stage for the next books.
Interesting blend of shifter/werewolf lore. I don't know that I've seen a shifter story where they lose control of their shift during the full moon. I read stories where it's been easier or mandatory to shift during the full moon, but they've always seemed to retain control. This is more like the typical werewolf idea where the "wolf" takes control during the full moon and the human side is completely dormant.
For this genre this story ticks all the boxes. A lot of details are glossed over but I think they would have just made the story drag. As a reader I had all the information I needed. That being said, the author kept secrets but they were explained along the way as part of the story. That was clever. The one drawback I thought was that everything happened a bit fast. Spoiler alert ⚠️: the omega gets pregnant the first time they have sex!
This story is full of surprises. The characters seem real and you are easily wrapped into their lives as they struggle to learn about each other and face their past . The love between the main characters radiates off the contraband gives the reader a warm welcome and a smile upon their face. Well written with few grammar errors but over all a great story.
This was a very well constructed and sweet romance, which involved a new and unique concept on shifters. The plot was engaging and the story definitely drew me in. The two main characters fit together perfectly from the very start and their relationship soon blossomed into so much more. The ending was also very precious. I enjoyed it immensely. :)
Rion and Elliott. MM. MPREG. A good read. Enjoyable. A relaxing no great thought needed read. enjoyed all four books that have been released, at this present time. Reading order is 1 His omega roommate, 2 Icing the omega, 3 Espresso for his omega and $ The last alpha dragon. Yes bk 4 come out first but why is explained in the book. Just read in the proper order and all will be fine.
Welcome yo the full moon mates set of books. Liked the storyline, the characters, in this case Rion and Elliott meet and their fated mate status takes over. Throw in a baddie that reocures through the first few books and you are in for a treat. Great easy read that wants you reading more and more of this great pairing.
Sweet story of an Alpha Wolf Shifter who meets his human Fated Mate Omega during a year long break away from home. Sexy scenes, sweet characters and some adventure while they run from hunters, this book is a fun read. Definitely recommend this book.
I have fallen in love with the Shifter World and the belief of the One True Mate! Walking within this world of finding your Forever Love speaks to my inner romantic! I have always believed that there are soul mates out there.
This was sweet. I think it was a good set up for the series. Some things just went to smoothly for my taste, but I look forward to more. I want to know more about the rules in this world. With the hunters all set up for book 2, I expect book 2 to be better than the first.
I’m a fan of MM shifter books and I have read a lot of them. It’s exciting when an author adds new elements to the shifter world. I enjoy this book and the world the author is building. Will definitely continue reading this series.
Rion is a wolf shifter and has to go away from Half Moon for a year. When he arrives at his apartment senses his true mate and then he meets him. Elliott is a human but isn't aware that he's the true mate of Rion.
I have had a hard time reading much for a while now and have relied on Audible books. This is the first book I have been able to read through for a long time. I am going to start the next in the series tonight. I hope this gets me back in reading shape :-)
I really I'm loving this series although I am confused on why Chandlers book came out first and yet he hasn't meet Rask yet in this book even though his book came first
eh, this book was ok. Good story base but the details of how the shifter lived and laws they follow were a bit different than all other shifter books I read. I didn't buy it as I did other books.
