Okay, I liked this one a little better than the first one. I connected more with the characters but, as with the first book, there was little interaction between the H and h for most of the book. /sigh
Cass is a billionaire dragon who has a one night stand with a woman he just can't get out of his mind. That's fine but then for nearly the rest of the book, his story completely deviates into a rather lame plotline. I mean, we've all seen the banal world dominance plots in books but usually, they aren't quite so mediocre.
Brooklyn is a woman who recently discovered her fiance cheated on her and went out for a night of fun with her friends to try and get over him. One thing led to another and she had a one night stand that she couldn't forget... really couldn't forget since he left a little something to remember him by. Brooklyn's entire storyline is about dealing or not dealing with her pregnancy.
So this is the second book in the series and for the second time, nearly the entire length of the book is the H and h in separate plotlines and not even seeing each other until nearly the end. I am REALLY not a fan of that style of writing. I'm definitely starting to rethink this series and quite possibly the author.

Burning Love
Wow! Picked this book up, and didn’t put it down until the ending. Looking forward to reading the other books in this series. I really liked the push and pull of all the drama, and hot burning lust-love. Very well written, with a defined storyline that just came together in a way that made it a very enjoyable, smile at the end story.

“So, Doctor, you’re telling me my baby has a real tale?”
I’m not sure what started the attraction to shifters now when it used to be vampires. I remember Laurell Hamilton starting the trend with her Anita Blake Vampire Executioner series. I guess shifters do have a life, and a mortgage, and family, and maybe even a dog.
This dark tale starts hundreds of years ago in what is alluded to as Scotland, but who cares? It’s all faerielands which mortals have overrun. And on the day of their certain deaths, six princes trade their mortalities (without their complete informed consent, but isn’t that always the case?) to become dragon shifters to save their kingdom. The problem is that they still ARE dragon shifters today, and they have a deranged dragon shifter of a father who feels that they are strong enough to take over the world, starting with the United States and…
What was that? Where’s the romance in this story?
Well, it does take a little romance to save a nation in this faery tale.
Pentagon: Start taking notes. There will be a test afterwards.
Length: Longer novella.
Character development: Okay, this isn’t big on progressive character development though Juniper Hart has definitely created some very interesting characters. I just hate to say that Brooklyn, our female lead, really doesn’t show her “I am Woman. Hear me ROAR!” until much later in the novella when it should be sooner. (But I guess that would mean we would have a short story instead…) I liked Cass, but he is definitely like me: “Shut up and leave me alone!” It’s a faery tale romance. I’m not looking for much. I really needed some brain candy at the moment, and this was the most interesting one that fit the bill. (God, I need brain candy right now!) Should I criticize Brooklyn’s continual “Should I marry my cheating ex-boyfriend?” But I can understand why she doesn’t want to be a single mother. (Frankly, my darling, you’d make a far better single mom than with that jerk!) The best character is Audrey who is renown by words from her mouth. Really.
Emotional factor: I suppose if this were longer, we really could get into that emotional hook, but I think the “Awww…” over a very intriguing baby is more than fine. (At least it isn’t sugar-coated. Yuck! I’d rather have a baby like Brook’s if I could have one.)
Speed of action: Decent pace. No slouching here.
Predictability: What do you think? It’s a faery tale with an HEA! But it was fun. But I really hated the flashback to the movie Hot Shots! 1 — SEQUEL!! Juniper, you could had been more subtle. (God, I feel so sorry for the brother who Audrey falls in love with…)
Credibility issues: I can’t say much. It’s a faery tale. (I’m beginning to sound like a broken record.) Maybe that’s the problem with this story. I need a little reality check into a world where shapeshifters are mean, territorial, political as hell, and it’s one crisis after another, can we ever get a fricken’ break???
Grammar and technical errors: A few but not worth mentioning. No broken paragraphs… Be still my heart!
As I said, this piece is brain candy. I found it fun! But for marketing, I would rather see this hopeful start of a series be sold completely as an anthology because you really can’t call it a book. Not paperback, that is. But that isn’t to say that it isn’t interesting. This is a wonderful story about Cassius and his brothers who make a last minute deal with a sneaky witch as they try to save their kingdom from those who are stronger them them. Many years later the curse still there, dragons in eternity the princes/brothers have built lives for themselves and are all wealthy. Brooklyn is taken out by her friends to get over from her ex fiancée, Ryan cheating on her and while at the restaurant she catches the eyes of one very sexy man, Cass. While on a short business trip he follows Brooklyn to the night club and they end of spending one incredible night together that is felt to be a lot more than a one night stand. Cass’s secret is seen by Brooklyn the next morning and she freaks out and pushes Cass away. They both can not get over their night together but never find one another. Cass finally gives in but discovers Brooklyn has moved and with Ryan so he walks away to deal with his crazy father the Dragon King of Rui. Brooklyn realizes Ryan never stopped cheating on her and she really gives it to him and does so in a great way! As the King decides to roll out his plans Cass takes one last chance to find Brooklyn to get her to safety but she shows up at his home and things get crazy between the King, Cass and Brooklyn. I absolutely love how Cass does what he can for Brooklyn to ensure she understands what’s going on and making decisions to make her happy! Having her best friend at her side helps Brooklyn through her struggles. I look forward to reading about the next brother. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Decadent? Maybe Fast paced? Moderately so---ok very fast in alot of places in the story. There are princes and they are at war to win a witch changes them into dragons. Unfortunately the princes don't realize that once changed they stay that way. Fast forward to the 21st century. Cass, one of the princes, is having a drink in a bar when a group of women come in. One in particular catches his eye...a blond bombshell in a red dress. One thing leading into another they go to her home together. In the morning from a night of the best sex she's ever had, Brooklyn sees Cass for what he is and freaks. From this point on there is nothing but misunderstandings, and at one point a dragon king who wants to go to war with the whole world.
Fantastic story that will keep you enthralled and holding your breathe as you wonder whether there will be a hea at all!!!

Cassius is a 700 year old hot billionaire who is also a dragon shifter in the midst of a family crisis because his father the king is delusional and wants to take over the world.. Brooklyn is a young woman who has just broken up with her fiance when she caught him cheating, goes out to a club and makes the acquaintance of Cassius and they have instant chemistry and have a one night stand. He leaves to go home and deal with the family circus and she moves out of her home, quits her job and is carrying Cassius little bundle of joy. Wow I really enjoyed this read, a bit different but I love dragon shifters. Cass has started to drift through his life, after being cursed, his family all share the same affliction but Cass feels different, bored with his life until he sees Brooklyn. Brook is still reeling from her ex cheating on her but her friends are determined to make her feel better, things change when she sees Cass sitting at a restaurant table alone, after a humiliating first impression Brook is convinced Cass thinks she’s ridiculous but it’s the furthest thing from his mind and one night will change their lives forever.
Loved the story, plot, characters, this was funny in scenes and sad in others. Loved the sweet moments, great love scenes, some angst but overall a great ending.

I loved this story. It's everything I was looking for. Brooklyn has had her life turned upside down when her fiance cheats on her and leaves. After weeks of getting herself back together, Brooklyn is going out with her friends. Cass isn't hoping for anything to change his way of life. He's fine with the way his life is until his eyes connect with Brooklyn's in a restaurant. After that Cass can't help but want to know Brooklyn. They give each other one night but the next morning Brooklyn isn't ready for what she sees. Once Cass leaves Brooklyn cant help but think about him all the time. To make matters worse Brooklyn finds out she's pregnant with no way to contact Cass. Will Cass manage to feel something for Brooklyn enough to look for her?

This novella was a gift out of left field, unexpected but worth the time to read! There are no words to adequately describe this story by Juniper Hart. It is a romantic paranormal comedy which had me laughing throughout. The description of the "morning after" bedroom scene was insanely hilarious. DRAGON'S BABY is definitely the book to grab if you need that "Calgon, take me away" break from reality. An exceptional book unlike any other. Well done, Juniper Hart!

So bloody awful, I burst out laughing
To be fair I knew it was going to be bad. The title and genre didn't give me much hope. Think of every bad cliche in paranormal shifter romance and it's in here. Characters magically connected and fated to be together that just end up banging when they are alone. Like seriously they never talk and get to know each other. The scene where a transformed shifter scares the crap out of the girl. Never know why this is in the books because they always sound like scenes out of a horror movie. A little light stalking gladly it's not too stalkerish. A medical mystery worthy of the x-files. Good God, it was horrid.

Dragon's Baby was a phenomenal story and so beautifully put together. the book was a thrilling read and was lovely to read both characters point of view as the story went on.This was the first book I've read by Juniper Hart and i will definitely br reading more of their books in the future as this was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.

This book is about Brooklyn and Cassius. They meet each other at a night club and they have instant chemistry and it is undeniable. They end up together for the night and she then takes off when she finds out his secret. She finds out she is pregnant and strange things are happening she knows she has to find him and try get to the bottom of what is going on with her. I loved the characters and the story was a fun read.

OH Baby! Cass and Brooklyn, start out as a one night stand, a rebound, but they are destined for so much more. Quick read with a happy end: I really enjoyed it! Audrey, Brooklyn's loud friend, was definitely my favorite. I am kind of hoping to hear more from her. I loved the characters, the story was not a huge thriller, but I was holding out for the happy end and I got it!! I enjoy the Misty Woods Dragons and will be keeping my eyes open for the next one.

Cassius was turned into a dragon shifter 700 years ago and his father s s delusional that he thinks he can take over the entire world. Brooklyn has just found out her boyfriend cheated on her so she has gone out with her girlfriends, there she meets Cass and he promises her one night after all he has to save the world. But will one night be enough or will he be completely drawn to this woman. throw in family dramas betrayal and some really hot scenes and you have a great page turning book.

I picked up this book because I wanted to see what the hype was about when it came to PNR. Although, this story was well written, I learned while I read the book that although it was entertaining as well... I was just not a fan of PNR set during the medieval era.
Maybe if the book was more of a contemporary setting then I probably could hang. Good job by the author and it was a decent book from what I read but after half way I couldn't do it anymore.
This book has wonderful potential I imagine for those who LOVE PNR. But i don't.

First let me state, I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review. I also believe that this author is new to me.
Wow, this story was Gr8. I love Brooklyn's best friend Audrey so much. That woman is my idol. Brooklyn & Cassius were only planning a one night stand, & they got more than they bargained for. There are 5 more dragon brothers, so I hope there are many more stories to follow. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
Wow, this story was Gr8. I love Brooklyn's best friend Audrey so much. That woman is my idol. Brooklyn & Cassius were only planning a one night stand, & they got more than they bargained for. There are 5 more dragon brothers, so I hope there are many more stories to follow. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up

I I purchase this book as it was advertised through BookBub as a free book. The description had me interested. But the story itself lacked background and spread by a little too fast for my taste. I would have liked to see a little bit more character building. Each of the characters seem to have they're on personalities however there was not too much detail into each of these. I'm struggling to want to continue the series cuz of this. I would recommend this book to someone who wants a fast read that may not want to spend days reading.

Brooklyn is out with her friends and runs into her cheating ex. Of course there is a scene and she leaves. But Cassius sees this and he wants to meet her. They have one night together and in the morning she actually sees him playing with her dog as a dragon. This sends her into a tizzy and sends him packing. Oops she winds up pregnant and just maybe the baby has some dragon features? Looks like she needs to find Cass and get some answers. But they agreed to just one night. Little does she know he has been looking for her also. This was definitely a fun book to read.

This story, about a woman and a man, who is a dragon, meeting and spending a single night of awesome sex. The result? Well, the title gives that away. There were moments where interesting events lifted the story into more than just sweet. I would’ve liked to read more about the pregnancy. And I couldn’t agree with many the actions of the female lead. To me she came across as weak willed. Other than that it was a good read.

They meet at a club, hook up and then she runs off. When she discovers she is pregnant by him and its not a normal pregnancy she wants to find him but doesn't know where to look. He has no idea about the baby but is looking for her to protect her. They of course find one another again and are able to find their Happily Ever After which I really enjoyed. GOod story worth the read.

This was a super little read really well written it pulled me right in and I ended up reading it in one sitting.Brooklyn and Cassius meet in a nightclub the chemistry between them was smoking hoy and they end up spending the night together but she runs off after finding out his secret.When she discovers she is pregnant she knows she has to find him.I really enjoyed this and I can't wait to read more.I would recommend it.
