Ryan is a contemporary romance and the final book in the series, For The Love Of A Good Woman. It can be read as a standalone, but the characters are intertwined throughout the series.
“Ugh. I wish Jack was good. I swear he’s a swish and flick.”“What the-”I put my hand up to silence Jack and glared at him. He had a look of indignation on his face.“Drew always leaves a mess. I always end up wiping up after him.”“That’s bullshit,” Drew hissed. “I always lick her clean.”“Dude, we don’t need to know that,” Cole interjected.“What about Ryan?” Harper asked.“Eh. He’s too..clean.”“What do you mean?” Harper asked as she scooped ice cream into her mouth. I leaned over the banister to make sure I heard Cassie’s answer.“Sometimes, I just wish he would get really dirty. You know that kind of dirty where no amount of soap will ever clean up the mess?”I glanced at the guys who all had their brows raised.“I get dirty,” I whisper hissed.
Ryan I would do anything to have what my friends have, the love of a good woman. Cassandra's that woman. I've known it since I met her two years ago. I've been chasing her since we finished our joint project at VAS, but she keeps turning me down. She's gone out with me and met my friends, but she wouldn't date me. Now I know why. I would do anything, give anything to help her and hopefully prove to her that I am the man that she needs. But will this one thing I can give her be enough to keep her?
Cassandra Ryan is the one man that could make me rethink everything I've been telling myself for the last two years. From the moment we met, I felt a pull to him and knew he had the ability to change my life. There's nothing more I would like than to give in and be with him, but my circumstances have me holding back. When someone from my past came back and threatened everything I hold dear, Ryan stepped up and proved to be the man I always suspected he was. Now if I can just let my heart believe it's real.

***This does contain a spoiler***
This book was good. I really enjoyed it until the end and that’s when it killed it for me. Literally. It was a total blind side and it’s no way to look and see if it will ever turn around. I guess basically we deal with enough crap like that happening in reality when you read books to escape you don’t want to see the same crap. Utterly upset and I’m never upset with a book! I have regretted reading this book as I feel the author should have warned us before we started to read this one as the others were not anything like this. If your looking for a happy ending then do not read this book! P.s. I can only hope the author gives Ryan and Cassandra there happily ever after in a new book as this one spoilt the series for me.

Ryan and Cassie, I have wanted their book since he did up her shirt at their first meeting in Logan's book. The two have kind of danced around anything happening between them; Cassie has been keeping Ryan at arms length, and Ryan of course wanting to have some sort of relationship with Cassie. When Ryan finds out that Cassie has a kid, it comes as a bit of a shock, but he handles it, and even offers his help in the situation that Cassie finds herself in. Ryan offers to marry her, so that she has a better leg to stand on in her custody hearing. Cassie at first is nervous but takes Ryan up on his offer, and soon her son, James and herself end up moving into Ryan's cabin with him. When the three are thrown together in an instant family, it will take patience and a willingness to work things out, for them to make this arrangement work. The offer is until the custody hearing is done, but what happens if Cassie and Ryan decide that they don't want this arrangement to end?

So, this was well on its way to a 5 star read, and then the author pulled a twist at 80% that I did not see coming. Now, I don't even want to read anymore from this author. This is supposed to be how she ends the series???? WTH is that! What was working to be my fav of all 7 books is now a 1 star rating.

A warning should have been given

I choose not to read cliffhangers or books that do not have a HEA. Well written, good story but was blindsided. A warning would have given the reader more choice of what they read. It was too upsetting for me. I like romances as long as there is a HEA.

This is it. This is the final book from this series and I'm happy to read it but sad at the same time. Happy because this character will have his own book but sad because it's the last one.
Giulia Lagomarsino made me fall in love with her writing with this series. Her writing is hot and wild, intense and so much more.
Ryan is the seventh book from For The Love Of A Good Woman and you should read all books in order. This book might be a standalone but the characters from the previous books will be in it so just do it. You won't regret it.
This book tells the stories of Ryan and Cassandra.
Ryan is part owner with one of his best friend of a construction company. They had created this company from scratch and they dedicate all their time in it. After seeing all of his friends settling down with the love of their lifes he started to want it for himself but...
Cassandra had focus her life to her son and her career. She has an amazing heart but love isn't in the cards for her. When the custody of her son is in jeopardy she will go whatever it takes to keep him...
I'm a mess. How can I talk about this book without spoil? How can I say what's really on my mind without giving you to many details?
I can't. I can't find the words because I'm mad, I'm sad, I'm happy...
The plot was amazing, well written, super engaging and intense. The story started in a way that quickly changed and it was so much more that I was expecting.
When I thought that everything was settled, the author had other ideas and knocked me out cold. I'm still dealing with it.
How could this happen? How could it changed so much?
I know that not everything is a bed of roses but still....
This series is over and I already have a new one waiting for me. But I can't start it right away. I'm a wreck.
Giulia you... How? Why? You know why I'm asking this... I can't believe it...
Until my next review.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Why did you have to do this to me? Ryan tore my heart to pieces. Ryan is a romance novel, but it is way more than that. Ryan is a stand-alone, but I highly recommend you read all the others before you read this one. Also have tissues ready. This book made me ugly cry for real.
The plot of this book was good. I didn’t expect what I got when I read this book. This book is unlike the other books in many ways. First, I should say that if you are looking for a pretty romance story that is wrapped up all nice and neat then this book isn’t for you. This book is real and raw. Out of all of these books, I think this one really explores the value of family. Not just the family these group of friends has made, but a home unit as well. I liked this plot.
Cassandra is a good character. We met her before, but this book really gave us more insight into who she is. I loved her priorities. It is what I would expect with a woman in her position. She is also a very strong woman. I did think she made some decisions that were a bit out of character, but I can look past that because of what it added to the story. I always pictured Ryan as the fun, loveable brother in the group. This book also showed how responsible and caring he could be. He is not at all like I expected, and I like that.
The heat in this book is perfect. The characters have chemistry, but they also have a friendship. Ryan has been chasing this girl and instead of forcing her hand, he decided to take whatever she would give, which was friendship. When friendship crosses that line, it is always way better than just jumping into bed with a stranger. I loved that about this book.
This book blindsided me. I was not expecting the heart stopping, sob inducing ending. Seriously, my heart is broken, and I don’t think I will get over it anytime soon. There is one minor character that stole my heart. I can’t say who without spoiling, but you will know when you read it. The pace of this book is steady. I liked everything that happened. The blindside was not what I was expecting, but I hope in the future the author writes another book to tie this story up.
Overall, this was a good book. It made me ugly cry. If you are going to read this one, get your tissues ready. Parts of this book will also anger you. At times, I wanted to throw things at the wall. I think this book was good, but not the best ending to the series. I really hope this author writes another book tying this story up.

OK people~I have read many of Giuliana Lagonmarsino’s books. She is an amazing writer that brings love, steamy scenes, heartbreak and tragedy into this book. I was seriously intrigued and sad at the same time. I kept waiting for something different to happen, and in some ways, good things did happen. In all honesty, Ms. Lagonmarsino brings us the truth. There are always not happy endings in life, why does it always have to have a happy ending in the books we read. Life sends us cards that were dealt before we were even born and this book shows us that as much as we want a happy ending, sometimes, that is not possible. 4 stars simply because I was sad.

Ryan and Cassandra have been building since early in the series and most notably since Logan. They met working on a project for the VAS services and I think for Ryan it might have been love at first sight. Ryan has been chasing Cassandra and she's been playing hard to get. When suddenly she finds herself fighting for custody of her son, Ryan steps up to help her out and they step into a fake marriage. I get tired of reading predictable books, but this book was full of twists and turns that I never saw coming. I'm not sure I was emotionally prepared for all the feels in this book. Giulia Lagomarsino doesn't seem to ever let me down.

Ryan and Cassie's story has been a long time coming but I started reading this, I really never expected all the hidden twists/turns, unexpected surprises, the heartbreak, the angst, the drama, but especially the ending... Won't spoil it for the readers who haven't read this story but for those who have, you know what I'm talking about...

This author sprung on us, her readers a huge change in her original HEA's and I'm left wondering what's next!? But, being real here, this story has really touched my heart, especially as I said, near the end and the epilogue, both heart-breaking and heartwarming at the same time... Yet, I hope we get to see more of what will become of the people affected by the near end events of the story... Sorry guys for leaving you hanging like that but no spoiling this for you guys but for those who have read this story, you definitely know what I'm referring to and I bet feeling the same as I am...

Can't wait to see what this author has up her sleeve next but I bet it will be awesome like the rest of the books so far :

No HEA.. EXACT OPPOSITE OF THAT

Spoiler alert...
I don't know about you but when I pick up a romance novel, I do not expect the heroine to die. Full stop.
I've loved this series and wish I'd have skipped this book so bad. I will probably never read this author again because I do not trust her.
If ai could give this book zero stars I would

2.5 🌟 The ending is horrible.

I was not prepared for that. I'm kinda mad because I normally read reviews to get an idea of what I'm getting into, but I went in blind and I'm kinda mad at myself for that.

SPOILERS COMING UP

I went in blind thinking Ryan's book would be an HEA. I mean, it has to be, right? The first 6 books were pretty good... Big mistake! I don't like reading books with a devastating ending without warning because I have to mentally prepare for it. I don't need to know exactly what happens, just that it won't be an HEA, but this ending came out of nowhere!

I know the author went in for the shock value and all the emotion it would bring the readers, but I'm really mad for not reading any reviews at all to get a warning. I'm mad at the author because I felt like it was unnecessary for the drama. I was waiting for some kind of twist that it was a mistake and Cassie was okay, but nothing! All I kept thinking was that this can't be how the author wanted to end Ryan's story and the series. Like why? Why put him through all that? She had a son and was pregnant! 😭

Not knocking the Author. She took me to an emotional rollercoaster ride and only a good author can do that to a reader. BUT I wish had a warning because I hated the ending and I feel like the only way I can forgive her right now is if there was a book 2 to Ryan's story with a new h and an HEA. OR the last 20% of the story was only in Ryan's dream, and Cassie is okay. I'll read other books by this author in the future when I forgive her. And that might not be a while, and definitely without skipping the reviews.

Ryan Jackson just wanted to be of some help. I’m glad that the author let’s us hear Ryan’s thoughts right out of the gate. But if I’d been standing next to him, I would have said, “man what were you thinking?” It was funny to watch him dig himself into a hole – it was kinda nice to laugh at his expense. Once I got to the end of this book, I would have probably slapped him on the back and told him that he made the perfect choice.

Cassandra Crawford just had her circumstances change drastically. She helped me a lot when it came to laughing at a lot of the scenes in this book. In one particular scene I probably would have been on the floor laughing. It also made me glad that I wasn’t in my dad’s vicinity when he had “the talk” with my brothers. After meeting some of Ryan’s friends’ wives while they were having a comparison fest, it left me wanting to find out what I’ve missed.

This story’s not all about the laughs. There are plenty of serious moments and plenty of heat. The pleasant moments were the family moments. I got so hooked into what was going on that I didn’t have a clue that the author included a twist. All I’ll tell you is to be close by to your box of tissues because you’re going to need it. The ending is bittersweet but you’ll want to be prepared to read a book that ties into the Reed Securities series titled Lola.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Title: Ryan, For The Love Of A Good Woman #7
Author: Giulia Lagomarsino
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Rating: 5/5

I read an advance reader copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Ryan and Cassandra have known each other for two years he has tried and failed to get with her during that time but he hasn’t even managed to snag one date but that all changes, no he doesn’t get the date but he does get a wedding ring and a stepson. What may have started of as a fake marriage in order to help Cassandra keep custody of her son James doesn’t take long to become real, we see Ryan and Cassandra develop a true, deep connection that sees their marriage being one we’d all aspire to have one day, only for it to be tragically taken from him in the end leaving him and his stepson James heartbroken.

This book just about broke me, I laughed, I got hot under the collar and I cried boy did I cry, I’m typically not a fan of books where’s not a HEA and to be honest I avoid them but Giulia managed to sneak this one past me and I’m glad she did, what makes it even better is the fact that this is not the end for Ryan we will be getting more and hopefully 🤞🏼 he will get his HEA.

Another brilliantly written book from Giulia, showcasing her amazing talented writing skills, I cannot get enough of her work she’s quickly become one of my favourite go to authors.

The final installment in this series completely wrecked me. It took me awhile to come to grips with the ending. I'm not going to give any spoilers, but it doesn't have a happily ever after ending that most romance novels have.

Ryan has been craving what his circle of friends have--a committed relationship. Ryan has been chasing Cassandra for almost two years. He knows that she has feelings for him, but she never acts on them or even accepts his dates except group dates with his friends. He finally finds out why she refused to date him--she has a son.

Cassandra must protect her son even from his own father, Michael-the man who has has nothing to do with him since birth. Now, he not only wants to see Max but also wants joint custody! After she has struggled for the past ten years to raise him. Ryan joked that they should get married so it will show the courts a more stable environment. Why not Ryan is incredibly sexy and gorgeous. It has taken every once of will power to turn down his requests for dates. He has a solution for all her custody troubles.

The first few days start out incredibly rough, Ryan and Max begin to bond over reading Harry Potter. Ryan takes Max to school every day, does things with her boy. This arrangement was only supposed to be until the custody battle was over, but Cassie is falling for Ryan.

Tragedy befalls the family....how can they survive?

Ryan has been chasing Cassandra for over a year and a half, with her not giving him the time of day. However, when she needs help, he steps up to the plate, and they have a quickie wedding in Vegas in order to keep her son safe. He thinks there will some benefits, as they have super sexy chemistry, but she lets him know quickly that there won't be. So now, he's sleeping with the woman that he wants everything with, and while it took some time, he finally gets the sexy times that light the sheets on fire. And while she's hard work, they have some hilarious moments themselves as he tries to convince her that they are great together. On top of their crazy moments, Ryan & James, her 10 year old son, have the best talks, and I nearly wet my pants laughing more than once. And of course, there's the cast of secondaries from previous books in this series adding in even more humor, so there was a lot of laughter throughout the story. Now I'm going along in this story that I love, when a twist out of nowhere hits, and I'm not only dropping f-bombs, but I'm calling the talented Giulia Lagomarsino some very colorful names, and frankly, I've added her to the list of authors trying to KILL ME DEAD, hash tagging her #EVILWHORE FOREVERMORE, as I'll never get over it. And now I'll conclude this review with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING TO ALL!

Ryan freaks out in the first chapter of this book as he prepares to get married to Cassandra in Vegas. It’s a rough start to this relationship as the couple aren’t really sure just how this marriage is supposed to function.
This sweet and steamy romance had a lot of heart to it. Of course, Ryan and Cassie fall in love and there’s a bit of drama on whether their marriage will be temporary as initially planned. What makes this a show stopper is the addition of James and how Ryan really connects with being a father to him. When it’s Cassie’s turn to freak out during the custody hearing, Ryan mans up and refuses to allow her to succeed in pushing him away. I really liked Ryan after that scene where he convinces her that he is in it forever. I also liked the way Ryan is clear headed and finds the resources to shut down Cassie’s scum of an ex.
The rest of his security buddies make their appearances with their women and that leads to some hilarity that highlights the family like bond they all share.
I’m really enjoying this series that seems to be getting better and better!
*Spoilers* Warning though, this one has a tragic tear jerking ending that I did not enjoy. My heart is still a bit tender from this as it was quite unexpected.

Just finished Ryan literally few minutes ago. I am giving an honest review in exchange for a copy from the author herself.

Okay, my last review I just wrote on Drew was pretty harsh I think BUT the review for Ryan is complete opposite. I was interested and captivated by the story from the first page. I couldn't put it down. Ryan is always a background character for the most part in the other stories, even in Logan we don't learn much about him but he was the most realistic character aside from Jack. I loved his relationship with James and Cassandra, and yes I absolutely cried upon the loss of one of the main characters I felt Ryan's pain and felt myself hoping the next page would reveal that it was a mistake and Cassie was not gone, I cried more when he had to tell James... My kids are 9 and I couldn't imagine if they ever had to receive that same news!!!! I also related because I have been through many custody arrangements with my ex. There were a couple errors I brought to the authors attention but other than that. It was apart from the others, not as repetitive and I looooved it

OMG, this was an incredible Story. This has a gripping storyline and well developed and defined characters that can be related to. Ryan, a wealthy part owner of a construction company has been chasing after Cassandra for a year and a half. They have spent time together with their friends but she would never commit to an actual date with him. Cassie is a single mother of a 10yr old son, but nobody knows that fact. Until the day her ex and the father of her son, wants to be a part of his life and get to know him. He hadn’t been there for her for 10 years. When Ryan sees Cassie and how upset she is , he takes her back to her apartment and she finally tells him What has happened and that she doesn’t have the finances to fight Michael for custody of her son. Then Ryan blurts out that she should marry him, move in with him and he would help her fight for custody.
From the first page you are drawn in until the last. There’s humor, drama, ups and downs, tragedy and heartbreak all rolled up into one story. I love this series and hope that there will be more. A must read!

First of all I’d like to comment about how much I enjoy learning more about each character in their individual stories.

Now, way (way!) TMI is shared with Cassandra’s parents about her and Ryan’s sexual exploits. It was uncalled for and would be super uncomfortable for most people IRL. Also, if I was Cassandra’s father I might be a bit annoyed at Ryan appropriating my special nickname of Cassie girl. Just think about the furor when Lilibet was named to “honor” the Queen of England.

I appreciate how Ryan has stepped up to the plate in helping to raise James and that he considers him a son after such a short period of time. I haven’t finished the book but I’m rooting for he and Cassandra to get full custody and maybe have him adopt James.

Why is Michael’s wife, Alisha, so eager to have James part of their lives? Why did Michael tell her about James in the first place if he didn’t have any inclination toward fatherhood?

The ending is heart wrenching and I felt genuine sorrow reading it. I’m going to take a break before I head over to Reed Security.

Ryan gets his HEA in another book (Lola from Reed Security)
What triggered me the most in this one, was the fact that there were NO FUCKING TRIGGER WARNINGs. If you kill the main character, add a trigger warning. Simple as that.

You built up the best character, decent with humour and just a perfect book boyfriend, that is not a manwhore only to give him a story like this? I get it, the author wanted to share her message but this is about books and in the end you need to warn your readers. I had to search comments in the books and then the family tree in the next books to realize that he gets a story somewhere in her book universe.

But this is not right and no you can not go into this book blind, especially if you have seen this character and lived with him in the previous 6 books.

And a sidenote: In Lola she makes him a manwhore after one year of grief- for about 4 years he goes to bars and picks up women every week. Count how many faceless fucks he had until Lola.....

And yet, readers will love everything about this-So Im only adding my thoughts here.

I have not read all of the books in the For the Love of a Good Woman but I did read a few before getting to this one. I had also read a few books in the Reed Security series which has all of the same characters back again but looking from Sebastians security company side of things. I think this is why I loved this book more than many of the other readers. I already knew how it was going to end because of reading 3 of the Reed Security books first. This book really makes you think about what you are willing to do for love. What can you endure? Even knowing how things would go down in the end I still found myself very emotional. Tissues are required and just know that not every love story has an HEA. Some are more HFN (happy for now). Considering what i have read in the Reed security series I know we have not heard the last from Ryan.

When I started this book I really enjoyed it!! Ryan is the 7th book in Giulia Lagomarsino's For The Love of A Good Woman Series!!
This is Ryan and Cassandra's story!! I recommend that you read the series right from the beginning as the characters and backstory are woven through each book!!
I have really enjoyed this series until this book!! Don't get me wrong it is an amazing book but it had me waiting for the other shoe to drop and it never did it that makes sense!! This book deals with love, loss and faith!! It was emotional and ups and downs there were both happy and sad parts and the one thing you really want just doesn't happen!! You keep waiting for Ryan to get what he's supposed to get his HEA!! I don't want to spoil it as I believe you need to read the story for yourself!! Even if I didn't get what I wanted it was a great book and I highly recommend it!!

Ryan: A Contemporary Romance by Giulia Lagomarsino. This is the 7th book in the For the Love of a Good Women series. I have enjoyed each one of the stories in this series. Ryan was not at all what I was expecting, in the other books he seems so reserved and laid back but boy oh boy he jumped right into the frying pan with this story. I liked Cassandra character, she did what she had to for her son (what mother wouldn’t). What I didn’t like was the ending! I want a HEA for everyone and this one, well let me just say that by the time I finished the Ryan’s story, I felt like I was on a roller coaster. I was overwhelmed with varying emotions and I really hope he gets a follow up book. My husband still doesn’t understand why I read books that make me cry (he wishes they came with warnings).

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Surprising end
I liked this story from the beginning because the starting point is quite interesting: it all starts on Ryan's wedding day with the woman he's been trying to seduce for a year and a half. It is an express wedding that he proposed so that she can keep the custody of her 10 year old son, now that the biological father wants to recover it to please his wife. The interesting point is that past the act of chivalry, Ryan realizes that he probably made the biggest nonsense of his life and that from the wedding ceremony. Then they discover each other, and build, that life they should have built before.
It's extremely well written with endearing characters, almost a guide on how to become a good stepfather.
The end is completely unexpected and unpredictable.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This story blew me away; I most definitely did not expect that ending, and I sincerely hope that there is another novel to follow this one in order to answer questions unanswered here!
This is the 7th book in this phenomenal series, and is Ryan and Cassandra’s story. Ryan has had his eye on Cassandra for two years, and accepts anything she is willing to give him, which is a friendship. However, neither of them can deny their feelings, and the chemistry is intense. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! This is another well written story, which is raw, gritty, emotional, heartbreaking, and humorous. I cannot wait to read more from this talented author, and I highly recommend her work for all readers!

Though we may have not seen much of Ryan and Cassie’s interactions this has been building for quite some time. The character development here is great not just for the main couple but for the side characters as well. I really liked Ryan and Cassie together. They have a bit of a rocky start but once they sort it out, they were an amazing couple. I also loved Ryan’s interactions with James that kid stole the scene every time he was in one. With a book that focuses largely on family, Giulia delivers another romance story that grabs your attention with it mix of romance, humour and a little bit of drama. But with an ending that will leave your jaw on the floor be prepared for the emotional pain that may be inflicted at the hands of this book.
