USA Today best selling and award winning author, S.L. Morgan was born and raised in California. After 29 years of living in the Sierra Nevada Mountains there, she and her husband began their journeys of moving throughout the United States. In the summer of 2014, S.L. Morgan and her family returned to her hometown of Oakhurst, California.
In October of 2011, S.L. Morgan became inspired to write her new novel series, “Ancient Guardians.” With her passion and love for Jane Austen and other classic romance novels, she was motivated to write a novel series of her own. The Legacy of the Key is the first book in her novel series, taking readers not only into a new magical dimension—but giving them a feeling that they have been transported back in time—into England’s 18th century.
Morgan refers to herself more as a storyteller instead of an 'author.' She enjoys creating worlds that readers can escape into, and characters they can call friends.
She is truly grateful everyday for having the courage to share her stories with readers from around the world.
With her series, Ancient Guardians complete, Morgan is embarking on a new adventure and looks forward to releasing a new series soon.

I received this as an ARC for an honest review.

What I enjoy more than anything is that the story/action started nearly immediately for me. The story was fast paced and smooth for the most part. My favorite parts of the book are the additions of time travel, as I love Doctor Who, and Dragon/Drakón lore, a void that I haven't been able to fill till now. That being said, there are other fantastical creatures involved. It was interesting to see him be placed in a completely different realm than one he was trying to fix -after all Pemdas, especially his family, is in trouble due to a curse. It's interesting to see how he handles being on his own without the safety of his family, friends, and the Guardians, especially in regards to the of the darkest villains I've seen in this series. This villain seems to be a bit more evil due to how charismatic he is and how much of a connection to the curse that has befallen the palace.

Alysia & Alex's bond is wonderful given their powers. Then of course Alex and Kira are a wonderful compliment to each other. I cannot wait to see what Morgan has in store for our young heroes, especially Alex, Kira, and the kingdom.

The only disappointing thing about this book is how short it is, oh and the cliffhanger. Seriously why, must I have to wait on such a cliffhanger. I have more questions regarding the curse, how it could've been allowed, and what could reverse said cursed at the end of the book than I did in the beginning. I do hope they will be answered in future installment(s).

Also, I want to answer future questions of: "Do I need to read the Ancient Guardians to understand this?" It depends on you, if you want to know the characters Reese, Levi, Harrison and the others prior to this book then the answer is yes. If you want to start this first and go back, then you can do that too as this book focuses more on the children than Levi and the rest. This is Alex's story and Morgan does a wonderful job at making it his own.

I received an ARC of this book, and I'm so glad I did! I was anxiously awaiting being able to read more about my favorite family. This book has all the romance and action as the Ancient Guardians series, but I love how it's not a retelling using different characters. This book is its own, and that's what makes it special. Our favorite AG characters are in the book, but they only play a minor role, and I don't feel it's necessary to read that series first in order to read this (but I highly recommend you read Ancient Guardians if you haven't already). With a cliffhanger ending that makes you feel impatient for the 2nd book of this series, it's definitely a must read!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A spin off series from S L Morgan’s Ancient Guardians. It still has some of Pemdas in it, and all the characters you love. But this is Alex’s story, Alex is now an adult, and with his time travelling abilities he is compelled to travel 5 years into the future, summoned by his future self. When he finds out that the fate of his beloved Kingdom is in his hands, to help fix, he travels back to his own time to try and fix it. All doesn’t go to plan and Alex is sent away to a different realm, totally different, Dragons , Fairies, witches, and trees that are alive, and winged white horses. He meets Kira, and they are set on a fast paced journey to help his mother and his Kingdom, and they have to fight to stay alive. Cursed is a little different from AG, but just as enjoyable. A recommended read, you’ll love it.

Satisfying and wonderful!

Cursed (Dragon’s Curse, Book 1) by S.L. Morgan is a continuation from a previous series written by S.L.Morgan. While it is a continuation you do not need to read the other books first in order to keep up, this could easily be a stand alone book/series. I didn’t read the previous series before this book and kept up just fine, though I do suspect that the previous series would let us get to know characters a little better so I’ll be checking that out next! I love that the book has all my fantasy elements… faeries, dragons, Pegasus, evil and good, new worlds all rolled into a steadily paced story that kept me entertained for a few hours. I love the characters and the writing really painted a story that I could visualize and imagine I was actually there and taking part in. It would satisfy any fantasy lovers hunger for bizarre and unusual happenings!

I really enjoyed reading Morgan's newest series Cursed.
It's a spinoff of her Ancient Guardian series focusing on Levi's and Reece's son Alex and the new character Kara.
Overall, I really liked how action packed it was and the romance that was developing between Kara and Alex.

You don't need to have read her original series to read this book series( BUT, you should really read the original 4 or 5 books they are great. And, this is coming from a person who did not originally enjoy reading fantasy novels).

She is a great writer and is great at world building.

Spectacular!!

A new person in Pemdas. Kira is perfect for Alexander, smart brave and able to handle all Alex throws her way. I am so glad Ms. Morgan is keeping this series moving into the next generation. Reece and Levi are in a league of their own, however this pair of heroes may live up to the legacy. I love the introduction of not only new worlds/species but also the new villain Stefon. Ready for #2, just hate waiting, LOL!!

Cliffhanger....but a good one...

I truly enjoyed this story. Just sad it ended with a little cliffhanger - I guess I'm just impatient for the next part of the story. Truly, Ms. Morgan, you are one awesome story teller!

I love this book,it has dragons be it at the end, it has a love story similar to Reece and Levi [ancient Guardian Series], but that doesn’t surprise me a Alex is Levi’s son , he is a strong character this story follows his struggles to save his mother from turning to stone. It has an evil villlan who thinks he can control everything and every body. Reva is a young woman separate from her clan the love story does develop quickly may be too quick, but she is a strong woman and I look forward to what happens next.
