“He who marries beauty, marries trouble...” ~ Nigerian proverb Diamond Black is the oldest of the Heirs, raised and trained to be elite. Since the day she was born, Diamond has been her own person, and not afraid of anyone or anything. After graduating college and traveling the world for a few years, Diamond is returning home to her family and the newest mission for the group of Heirs. Awaiting her, will be the one man who’d taken over her mind, with a mission of his own…to claim the heart of the woman he’s always loved. Xavier Jackson has the power to read minds, but he only wants Diamond’s heart. Her return means the chance to show the only woman he’s ever loved, that they are meant to be together. However, an urgent mission requires them to go undercover and become immersed in a world of darkness, danger and deceit, resulting in Xavier displaying a side of him, that Diamond has never witnessed. When Xavier’s alter ego emerges, the couple is challenged as reality clashes with the covert. Diamond is tested to see if she can love the man behind the mask and face both the future…and their family. Diamond readers, this story contains intense urban culture and language, including events not usually contained in D. Camille books. However, was necessary to maintain the authenticity of the storyline.

I'm D. Camille and I am an avid reader and author. I started reading romance books when I was thirteen and since then I've read hundreds. I wanted to write a series that contained the culture and history of the African and African American people.

I like to utilize historical information, science and ancient beliefs. I write for people to enjoy, think, analyze and learn; not only about the characters but hopefully also about themselves. I love to hear from my readers. Write me and tell me about your favorite characters and what you love about them. Me, I love all of them...they came from my heart.

Ase! (so let it be)

So Excited!!!!

I was really excited to read this book because I wanted to see how the Little Pretty Girl transformed into a grown up Diamond. This book did not disappoint. Diamond had been running from Xavier for a long time but she finally decides to come home to take her rightful place with The Heirs. Once she’s home, Xavier makes Diamond totally aware that his feelings for her have not changed but she wasn’t ready to hear that from him. As soon as their mission as The Heirs begins, with Xavier going undercover as the X-Ception, her feelings gets totally turned around when she starts seeing him in a different light. She quickly realizes that she’s met her match and that there is no other man for her. From the suspense, the drama, the humor, the passion and, of course, the characters (especially Jordan), this was another wonderful book from Ms. Camille. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series with Skye and Kyros.

Eye See you D Camille!

I am totally in awe of the masterful storytelling of author, D Camille. I have read EVERY book that she has published , and I can honestly say that each story gets better and better. Diamond (The Heirs Series Book 2) embodies romance, love of family, action, suspense, and intrigue. The author’s writing is so tight and precise with well-developed characters who transcend from one series to another. Diamond and Xavier are the epitome of the next generation of Black love. The subject-matter that drives the storyline is serious, and relevant. I highly recommend this book. If by some chance you are not familiar with the works of this author, I strongly suggest that you check them out for yourself. You are missing out on some great reading!

This Was So Amazing and Great!

What can I say, The Heirs showed that they're representing their lineage very well. This story was filled with lots of action, drama, with the most sacred, sweetest, compassionate unconditional love I've ever read, shared between two of the most important beings of the heirs. The action and drama filled storyline was awesome. The heirs mission was a little more extreme then what I was expecting. The chemistry between Diamond and Xavier was fire! I love the cat and mouse game they played with each other. It was so cute. I'm so glad that the other heirs are all grown into their own with little personal touches of their parents in them. I have to say I really can't wait to hear about the rest of the heirs story, especially Six. I'm glad The Diamonds and the Uncut Diamonds are doing well and aging gracefully. Now Kyros and Princess Skye has come into their own. I'm very curious how their union will manifest. Great, Great Read! ReneeG

Wonderful

I love how you bring relevant topics and issues to the light through your creative writings. It was good to have Xavier and Diamond finally get together after all those years of him truly loving her. The Heirs worked really well as a team except Diamond at times because she's just so use to leading and doing whatever she wants to do. And to finally see that famous list was like a mystery being solved. Skye and Kryos...I can't wait to read their story or Six possibly with Lace.

A Diamond Worth Waiting For

Diamond Black has finally come home to join the Heirs, and the man who has been there waiting for her return, Xavier Jackson. He has always loved Diamond and now he is ready for Diamond to realize he is the one for her. The chase is on while they are on their first official mission. The Heirs are picking up where the Black Diamonds left off. A new generation has arrived.

Loved this installment of the Heirs series and D. Camil!e did not disappoint. Well crafted story from a gifted storyteller.

Excellent read. i love how you incorporated "the culture" into this series.
Super inlove with the Heirs. i hope to create something as diverse and with as many characters from 4 different stores. OMG you are going to give me Skye with Kyros and i am sooooo here for that.

I'm hopin Six will end up with Lace and it would be cute if Justine got with Jasmine. i feel like she should come back into the mix in the near future.

Thanks I'm loving ALL aspects of the Black Diamond Universe!!!!

Amazing

I absolutely loved reading about the next generation of Diamonds. Like their parents they didn’t come for play. Watching the mission unfold and their dedication to helping others reminded me so much of the original diamonds. I was in heaven. I loved loved Xavier and Diamond. He was absolutely thee best man for her. I’m excited to read about Skye and Kyros. I was so tickled seeing a grown Kyros but was not surprised that he is a US ambassador. Thank you D Camille for showing our people in such a positive light.

Just killing them...the Black market was making a killing. I've only read one other read ever that focus on the Black market. And it's truly hard to infiltrate. Like this read it's goes so far up that is even harder to end.

I knew Diamonds book was gonna be FIRE

It's DIAMOND BLACK. Absolutely loved book two of the series. Xavier grew up and became a FINE "A$$" MAN, as his Goddess so eloquently put it. Ms. D. Camille is really taking these characters to unimaginable places, THE BLACK DIAMONDS' BABIES' are grown now y'all, and I am so hyped to be along for the journey. Thank you for continuing on with the Black Diamonds legacy.

Yes, girl! YESSSS

Diamond and Xavier created so much heat. Both beautiful and brilliant and trying to make the world a better place? They have started out on the right foot. These children are the the very best of their parents. I’m glad to see black love spotlighted and real social issues tackled. You keep writing, I’ll keep reading. Pick up this awesome story by one the best in the game today....D Camille...The Black magic is still real...

Amazing

The mission is amazing. Intense and emotional, you really want the bad guys to suffer.

Amazing internal struggles, everyone is invested in this relationship.

Amazing woman Diamond is a bad as and a pain in the ass. The only man who could ever make her cry is her daddy...and why would he ever?

Amazing man capable of controlling...everything.

The bad guy's logic is so deep, so heinous, I wanted three more chapters to explore it.

Everything I expected!

This book was everything that I would want it to be! Diamond and Xavier were born for each other! I cannot wait for Skye’s story! I’m totally on board with how you are merging the series by introducing Kyros from the Blackland series into the Heirs series! You definitely hit another homer in with Diamond and I expect no less with Skye!

Love the intense relationship of the couple.

Diamond is a fierce fighter did you have to make her just like her Father? I think she should have more opportunity to be more jealous of her man with a woman in love with her man. She should have had more competition for her man love
And a woman a fighter too.

Doing It For The Culture

I am loving this new series. Diamond was a force as a child so I expected no different from her as an adult. Xavier is just the man she needs. I like that this author sheds light on issues that I am unfamiliar with and I am looking forward to the future of these characters.

My favorite couple since Jordan and Sage

The Diamond series has had some amazing couples, and Xavier and Diamond are my new favorite. It is hard letting go of Jordan & Sage, Trent & Callie, and Kyle & Chloe (my top three). I can't wait to see who will mature/tame Justice Black, the ongoing joke about him being trained by his mother has me weak.

Just okay

It just missed something for me. I don't know Diamond and Xavier as well as the writer. I wish I did then I might have rated higher. Just because the characters new one another at a young age doesn't mean the readers did. Still a okay read

Diamond

Another great addition to the D. Camille collection. Another social issue was highlighted with the usual mystery. Great story, but I wished there was more focus on Diamond and Xavier. Maybe they will surface in the subsequent installments.
