Tussle is book one in the World Class Wrestling series by Jacob Chance. I wanted to read a sports romance out of the norm of the usual sports like football or hockey, and Jacob had just what I needed, Wrestling. I can honestly say I’ve never read a wrestling romance before. Not only did this open my eyes to the world of wrestling, the romance was sweet and sexy as well!
Lilah is twenty two when this story begins. Fresh out of college and going to work for her father in their family owned World Class Wrestling business. It’s what she’s been preparing for since she was born. It’s also the day she first saw him, a sexy, flirty man that kind of took her breath away. But the first think her father told her is rule number one, no fraternization, AT ALL! And that flirty man she met, he is a wrestler for her father’s company.
Jesse Gunn is a professional wrestler for WCW. He’s one of their biggest up and coming stars. He knows the boss’s daughter is off limits. But he can’t help himself. Several times a week he stops by her office with little gifts or flirty jokes. He’s nothing if not determined to wear her down to let him take her out on a date. Because he’s pretty sure that the beautiful Lilah is it for him.
“Hope is a powerful emotion. As long as it remains, there’s a chance. And one chance is all I need to make her mine.”
When Lilah’s father pairs them up for a promotional road trip, Jesse sees this as the chance he’s been waiting for. Lilah sees him as his wrestling personality and he needs to show her who the real Jesse is. Once she gets to know the real him, she won’t be able to resist him, right?!
First, I always knew wrestling was a scripted show but this book really did show what really goes on behind the scenes. I loved Jesse’s determination. His actions were so sweet while trying to get Lilah to go out with him. At first, Lilah’s hot and cold reactions bothered me a little bit even though I completely knew why she was reacting that way. I loved how they were together once she finally gave in. The ending was so sweet. This was really a cute, fun book. The next book in the series is about Jesse’s sister, Ronnie, and Wyatt, in Rumble. I can’t wait to read it.

I don’t know how Jacob Chance does it but hot damn! Mr. Chance can write sports romance like no one else.
TUSSLE is a wonderful story filled with heart, humor, sexual tension and “Oh my gosh, I want Jesse Gunn” moments. From the get go, I found myself captivated. Tussle introduced me to a world I was completely unfamiliar with. It’s evident that either Mr. Chance works in the wrestling world or he took the time to do his research. The details in this book are some of the best I’ve read in years.
I was pleasantly surprised that it took awhile for Jesse and Lilah’s romance to develop. This is a delicious slow burn that had me dying for Jesse and Lilah to finally do the nasty. Jesse Gunn has the body of a sinner but the patience of a saint. Swoon. Personally, I would have jumped on Mr. Gunn’s ‘gun’ the second time he asked, “Why haven’t we had sex?” Yes, Jesse was HAF. Another swoon.
There are so many things I love about TUSSLE. The storyline. The main and secondary characters. The banter. The sexual tension. The details. Jesse Gunn!
The only thing that prevented me from finishing TUSSLE in one sitting was work. As soon as I closed my kindle, I found myself itching to watch a wrestling match, hoping to find someone similar to Jesse Gunn.

This was a fast book to read and quite fun. It was a bit cheesy, but at the same time, thats meant to be the allure of the characters. Its a book that just has easy and fun and games all throughout it. Its a nice and fun read, particularly if you’re in the mood for something fun and easy. For a sports romance it actually has a fair bit of the sporting action described as well, which is good.
The ending was quite good, and I definitely think there is room for another book concerning Jesse’s sister. You’ll know what I’m saying once you’ve read Tussle.
Overall, fun and easy, would recommend.

Lilah is joining the family business of World Class Wrestling. She was given 3 rules, one which is mentioned twice of mixing business with pleasure. So, what happens when one of the biggest stars Jesse Gunn takes an intrest in her? Well, you'll just have to read to find out.
Jesse has definitely stolen a place in the book boyfriend category, I'm officially one of #JessesGirlz and wouldn't have it any other way.
Overall Thoughts: From the first page to the last page I've either been giggling or smirking. I'm usually disappointed with RomComs because I don't find them to be as humorous as they can be, however this one delivered on the humor.The way that Mr Chance writes has always captivated me. Tussle is no different. The attention to details for the wrestling events made me feel like I was sitting ring side, and I've only ever been to one WWE event as a child and it brought that memory back. The humor he uses is fitting to the story, it isn't just random funny things but geared to fitting with the scenes. And the chemistry between Jesse and Lilah are just like I expected, Jacob Chance is amazing at writing sexual tension between characters which is a reason I love his work. Ok, so I may love everything this man writes but he proves with each book why I am a loyal fan.

Welcome to the #GunnClub ladies and gentlemen!! Let me tell you once Jesse Gunn sets his sights on what he wants he will make it his! Lilah didn’t know what she got herself into when she accepted the drink invite from the sexy man outside WCW headquarters but she was about to find out!
Tussle is a novel full of angst, tons of humor (I love Carly) and lots of swoon worthy, melt your heart moments!! Each one of Jacobs male characters hold special places in my heart but Jesse Gunn is definitely one that will win you over because he is persistent, charming and definitely alpha when he needs to be!
I must say though that Lilah defiantly is my favorite female character! She is tough, caring, has a full heart of love, and is all about her family and friends! I seriously identified with her character and I hope to get more of her and Jesse in the future!!

Once again, Jacob Chance proves why he is one of the best male authors in the indie community. His attention to detail and his ability to draw the reader in as though they are living inside the pages as you read along is mind blowing.
Jesse is a WCW wrestler and meets Lilah on her first day at her new job. There are immediate soared between the two, but with Lilah's dad the owner of WCW, they can't pursue their mutual attraction.
Their slow burn romance is truly captivating. I'm definitely one of #JessesGirlz

Lilah is the heir apparent to the renowned World Class Wrestling (WCW) franchise. We began our journey with her from her first day of working as a full-time employee after her graduation from Yale University.
Lilah has large shoes to fill- her father and her uncle are the current owners and CEOs of the company and they are responsible for turning around the sport of wrestling and making it a better place for all- from the wrestlers who struggled with addiction and injuries to the road crew and also for the viewers.
While she may be “Daddy’s little girl” she is also a take no shit/ grab life by the balls and run the show herself, kind of gal.
But there are three rules she was given from day one that her father clearly laid out:
1) You never mix business with pleasure.
2) You must always remain professional in every situation.
3) You never mix business with pleasure.
As a Daddy’s Girl myself, there is one thing I hope to never lose in the eyes of my father- his respect. Lilah has no problem excelling at her job, staying professional and at the same time putting her father in his place when he steps over the line… However- it’s this fear of losing his respect that helps her keep the one man she’s ever truly felt comfortable around at arm’s length… for over THREE YEARS!
Jesse is one of WCW’s upcoming star wrestlers. He’s a tall, buff, loyal, hard-working wrestler with dark hair and all seeing gray eyes. He meets Lilah before her first day and their instant attraction is actually calming and heart-warming. They seem to recognize in each other something they have yet to find with any others.
Even though WCW has a strict no fraternization policy – Jesse is not deterred.
Can Lilah keep up her string of denials when her own father puts her personally in charge of Jesse’s social media accounts? Will Jesse be able to convince her that he is serious in his affections for her?
While Lilah’s work integrity and moral standards are something that should be applauded… You can’t help but wait to read what Jesse is going to do next in his attempts to get his girl.
My thoughts:
This book had me grinning like a naughty Cheshire cat! I loved Lilah’s quick wit, professionalism, and her spine of steal. And Jesse had my heart beating and wishing that his attentions were turned towards me in real life.
This is the first time I have read anything by the author Jacob Chance. I have heard many a great things said about him and I can truly say that I am not disappointed.
First- I am not an avid viewer of all things wrestling. One of my sister’s was all about it when we were younger. I can appreciate the athleticism, showmanship, and the writing that goes into such events. But other than that, it’s not something that I devote my spare time to.
Chance provides his readers with a wonderful “insider’s scoop” into what may actually happen behind the scenes of a wrestling conglomerate and draws in the readers to the world of wrestling beyond all the social media hype. A fast paced world filled with honest hard working people and the ever present eyes of social media.
I felt there was a perfect blend in the story devoted to the wrestling persona’s, their fans, and the in’s and out’s of the suits behind the shows. On top of all that- Chance made each character relatable and lovable in my eyes.
Overall- A very quick and entertaining read. I could NOT put this book down!!! I was hooked from the first chapter.
Nothing happened like I thought it would (which I appreciate more than I can express) and left me feeling like the story between Lilah and Jesse came full circle by the end as well as left me wanting to read the next book in the series right away.
Also…can we take a moment to appreciate how ridiculously HOT this book cover is?! I had to read this on my Kindle Fire so I could appreciate the cover in full color… I had no problem seeing Jesse as the guy on the front cover…
It’s like Chance paired a fine, rich, dark chocolate bar with a nice Pinot Noir… Nothing but excellence for my taste pallet.

Lilah's dad laws down the law about working at his company. No fraternization, PERIOD. The problem??? She'd already met one of the sexiest men alive.

He knows what he wants and is also aware of the consequences, but none of it stops him from going after the prize. Lilah, the boss' daughter, is who he wants.
Their relationship builds over the course of years until it's too much to take. Jesse doesn't make down and Lilah can't resist him. We find that Jesse is more than a beefcake of a wrestler...the man can cook pot roast! Winner, Winner, Winner. On a long road trip, Lilah discovers the real man behind the gun show.
Chance delivers a new book boyfriend you won't forget. The chemistry is off the charts coupled with witty banter and laugh out loud moments.

I'm a big fan of sports romances and professional wrestling was a sport I haven't read about. Though I have stopped and watched it on TV with my hubby a few times. 😁 Tussle was a fun, light story with a slow burn romance between Lilah and Jesse.

ok this is by far my favorite from Jacob. Lilah and jesse are my favorite characters, I loved how Jacob didn't just throw them together, it was a work in progress and Jesse wasn't giving up on his feelings for Lilah. Lilah is all work and no play or at least with Jesse cause her father warned her 3 years ago to not mix business with pleasure and Jesse was definitely pleasure, but her feelings for him were hard to hard especially when his fight for her attention was not going to stop anytime soon. I absolutely loved this story and the characters and can't wait to read more about Jesse's sister. Great job.

I am undoubtedly one of #JessiesGirlz all the way! What a freakin story OMG, I’m filled with so many emotions right now I LOVED it. I haven’t read many wrestling stories and I gotta say that this is one helluva romcom everyone will enjoy reading. The storyline pulls you in front the very beginning and captures your attention and heart the whole way through. Jesse is so damn loveable and Lilah is so adorably sweet seeing these two develop a friendship will have you guessing will they or won’t they. I’m blown away by this authors writing style, I’ve read their work before but this story is now at the top of my favorites. Well done and I’m curious if we’ll maybe see a story for Wyatt is the future, I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed. Grab your copy and make it your next book TBR! This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Jacob Chance has written another fantastic book I was absolutely glued to this story.
From he very first page to the end this book had me laughing and routing for Jesse, when he wants something he gets it and that’s the case with him wanting Lila.
I’m a big fan of WWE so this book was absolutely brilliant I love sports romance and this one was extremely well written the characters the chemistry all flowed beautifully together. If you love romantic alpha men who won’t take no for an answer then this is the book you need to read. I can guarantee you will fall in live with Jesse.

From start to finish I was laughing and routing for Jesse the whole time. That guys as balls and never gives up to get what he wants.
Jesse and Lilah are such a strong couple. To see how they come about and how she tries to do what she thinks is right but in the end does what she wants was great. I’m a huge fan of WWE and WCW (back in the day) and this book is perfect for fans of the sport. Who doesn’t love a romantic comedy about wrestling, hot guys and girls.
Jacob definitely as another hit on his hands with this one.
Jesse and Lilah are such a strong couple. To see how they come about and how she tries to do what she thinks is right but in the end does what she wants was great. I’m a huge fan of WWE and WCW (back in the day) and this book is perfect for fans of the sport. Who doesn’t love a romantic comedy about wrestling, hot guys and girls.
Jacob definitely as another hit on his hands with this one.

i've read quite a few of Jacob Chance's books. Some suspense, some comedies and some erotic, and one thing is certain: as different at the are from one another, you know that they come from him, because he has this way of writing his books that just screams 'this book is mine!'. No, i don't say that in a patronizing way nor in a bad way, just in a way that makes it his own and you can't mistake it for anyone else's.
Getting my hands on Tussle, i'm not quite sure what kind of mix from this author we'd get, and at the same time, i was hoping for something new - something that would draw you in like nothing else he's written so far. In many ways, it was different, but again, his writing style is right there - it draws you in, it made me laugh and this book made me want more. I truly hope that somewhere there will be a series, or maybe that's just wishful thinking, but at the worst, at least get to have some of the other characters's stories in the future.
There were many parts where i laughed, others that i 'awwwwed' and some where i cheered these characters that made me feel their emotions right alongside with them. I can't wait to find out what this author will write up next, as i'm sure it'll be as entertaining as the rest of his novels.

Okay folks! This Book Is IT!!!!! Oh wow. I have read mostly all of Jacob Chance's books and Tussle hands down is my favorite written by him. Jesse is a force to be reckon with. I am a proud member of #JessesGirlz. I loved his attitude and has the patience like no other. You will know what I mean once you get into this book.
Lilah is amazingly sweet and tries her hardest to follow the rules. This new forbidden romance was killing me because the relationship was a slow burn. But the banter between these two had me laughing so much. They are playful and fall hard! I don't think I have read a sports romance around the wrestling world and it was refreshing.

What girl doesn't dream of a patient, sweet and sexy disposition in a man? Jesse is this man, he is a sexy wrestler and he becomes so infatuated with the one person he shouldn't, the bosses daughter. Their chemistry is apparent, but Jesse cannot get Lilah to break the one rule her father has working for the family business; no fraternizing. This story is a sweet and sexy as hell romcom that will grab you from start to finish. I dare you to become one of #JessesGirlz!

Jacob Chance is an author to have popped up on my radar a handful of times, yet I was never overly inclined to grab any of the books. Sure, they interested me – however, there were books that interested me a lot more. When I saw Tussle was labelled as a sports romantic comedy, I decided to take the jump – both sports and romcoms appeal to me, so I thought this would be just my thing.
Although I enjoyed this book, it wasn’t quite what I had been hoping for. I kept turning pages, I couldn’t wait to see how everything came together, and yet I was left with the feeling that I had wanted more. Not just in the usual sense of being addicted to a book and wanting to spend more time with the characters, but also in the sense that I wish there had been more to the story than what we were given.
I’m not sure what it was exactly, but I felt as though something was missing with this one. We had an interesting storyline, yet I never really felt the connection to the characters and their story as I had hoped. I was enjoying the events, but I felt as though I was at a distance. I much prefer it when I feel the emotions alongside the characters, but in this one I felt a step removed. I’m not sure why I did not connect with them, I’m unsure as to why I was never sucked into their story to the level I had hoped, but there was something preventing me from slipping completely under the spell of this one.
It doesn’t help that I feel as though the romantic comedy label was false advertisement. There were a couple of moments that got a smile from me, but there were no belly chuckles like I usually expect from romcoms. I’ve read books without the romcom label that have had me laughing a lot more than this one. I feel without the label, had it simply been labelled a sports romance, I would have been much happier.
I will certainly tip my hat at Jacob Chance for choosing wrestling as the sport of choice, as it is not something I have read before. I’m not a fan of wrestling, but it was a nice change from the usual sports you find within this genre. 5 Stars to Tussle by Jacob Chance.
I want to be one of #JessesGirlz! This book was fun, flirty and absolutely a joy to read. I was engaged and entertained throughout. Did not want it to end.
So here is where I admit I am not a wrestling fan. I don't hate this sport, I just don't get it. That said, Tussle was not only a great read, it was a learning experience for me. Makes me curious about wrestling. I'm not saying I'm going to watch it but I do have a better understanding of what it's all about. Even a novice like me can easily see that Jacob Chance knows wrestling and how to articulate this sport to people like me who are ignorant to what wrestling is about.
That said, Jesse is a professional wrestler. He is sexy, witty and doesn't give up on what he wants. And he wants Lilah. I loved the chemistry and banter between them. Lilah likes Jesse, however since he works for her family's company, she considers him off limits. She persistently fights her attraction for three years until Jesse finally breaks her determination to keep away. Their relationship was relatable and believable. Any interactions they had were enjoyable to experience. Yes, their chemistry was scorching. However, they also had respect for each other. While Jesse was determined to get his girl, his persistence was not over the top. He was a gentlemen. My latest book boyfriend!
I did not find this book angsty nor was I ever frustrated with any aspect. Tussle is well written and told in both H/h perspectives. The intimacy between Jesse and Lilah was hot, the humor between them was even more endearing. I truly loved this book. I can't wait to see who of the secondary characters will have their own book next.

Jacob Chance has really found his nitch with writing Romantic Comedies! Tussel is a fun, flirty and hilarious sports romance. It's a light, easy breezy read filled with interesting characters and a great plot. I loved the wrestling aspect. I found it very different and exciting.
Jesse Gunn is a popular WCW wrestler. He has the looks an attiude that all the ladies love, except the one he wants..... Omg he is yummy!! He comes off arogant, cocky and a bit over the top, but this man is so much more then his wrestling persona! He's actually deep, interesting and smart.
He first met Lilah Turner the day she started working for WCW Wrestling. Just his luck, she just happened to be his boss's daughter. Too bad their is a strict "no fratinizing with employees policy".... Which Lilah does not plan on breaking, no matter how irresistible Jesse is. But Jesse can feel their mutual attraction, so he will not take no for an answer. His relentless pursuit of Lilah lasts for years. First becoming friends, while slowly breaking down her walls. I really enjoyed these two and their cat & mouse, push pull relationship. I loved Lilah. She's tough, fiesty and professional. This girl can definetly hold her own in the ring with Jesse. The banter between them had me cracking me up.
I found the secondary characters just as engaging. Jesse's sister Ronnie, who is also a wrestler and his wrestler best friend Wyatt. They brought some heat of their own... I sense another romance budding there!! (They should make for another fun book!)
Jacob did a fantastic job with Tussel's cast and plot.... Add in, the spot on Wrestling scenes that made me feel like I was sitting ring side! All of which make Tussel a winner.

I have become such a huge fan of Jacob Chance. I love how he weaves stories together and the captivating characters he gives us. He does it again in Tussle, which I must say I thoroughly enjoyed reading!
Lilah Turner was raised to lead World Class Wrestling. It was the family business and it was all she ever dreamed off. She prepared for this day, but on her first day of employment, she was not prepared for Jesse Gunn and his affect on her. I liked Lilah. She was a strong female character. She was smart, kind, determined and focused.
I loved Jesse Gunn. He knew what he wanted and went after it with a fierce determination. He was strong, possessive and focused. He loved his job and worked hard to be successful. He was also the kind of man that wanted his pie and was determined to eat it too.
On her first day at WCW, Lilah is ready to hit the ground running. Before starting her day, she meets Jesse and their attraction is instant and strong. However, once she realizes he works at WCW he is off limits. But Jesse is determined to have Lilah and he never gives up, even as she continuously pushes him away. Then they are unexpectedly paired to work closely together. She fights to keep things professional, but how long can she deny her true feelings?
I loved this story! I was consumed from start to end. Jesse and Lilah had such strong chemistry and I loved their interactions. Though you do not have to be a fan of wresting to enjoy this story, as I huge fan, it was so much fun reading this. I loved this sport romcom and you will too!

One thing I love about Jacob Chance's writing is that you can always tell how dedicated he is to giving us incredible books. The amount of facts in this book just shows readers how much research he must have done in order to bring Tussle to life. I can honestly say if you weren't a fan or knew anything about Pro Wrestling, don't worry you will after reading this book. Seriously, I'm not even joking when I say that... I watched wrestling my whole life and even I learned a few new things about this sport.
When Lilah Turner started working for World Class Wrestling, her father who just happens to be the owner gave her 3 rules to follow. One of those rules was so important it made the list twice. DO NOT MIX BUSINESS WITH PLEASURE!!! And to this career driven, independent and sassy women it seem like such an easy rule to follow. Until Jesse and his unending supply of patients that slowly help bring down her resistant for reason on why she shouldn't date him.
Jesse Gunn is a pro wrestler in WCW. He is charming, sweet, beyond swoon worthy and is at the top of his game. The fans love him just as much as he loves the spotlight and all the attention that comes along with it. But no amount of attention from anyone else can compare to feeling he gets when he was finally able gain the love from the one women he had his eyes locked on for the past 3 years.
But will their love for each other be enough, or will they be force to choose between continuing a relationship or furthering their careers?

Tussle by Jacob Chance is stand alone sports RomCom. From beginning to end I was laughing, swooning, and routing for Jesse and Lilah. Jacob definitely knows how to write RomCom.

Once again Jacob Chance knocked it out of the park with his RomCom abilities. He is one of my favorite authors to write RomCom because of the way he can make the story flow with such ease, humor and chemistry. It was amazing!
Jesse Gunn is a WCW wrestler and Lilah Turner works for the company and it’s owned by her father...uh oh. When the two of them meet it is instant and mega attraction, but because of conflict of interest, the situation becomes a fight to resist the attraction. At least for Lilah.

Jesse is one of those guys that are just easy to love, “says who? I think us sharing a hug is the best idea I’ve had in a long time. Now tell me what’s really on your mind.” Jesse does not mess around, “well, considering I just had my mouth on your ***s, I like to think I have a stake in what happens.” I really liked this book, I loved Jesse.

3.5….This was just too slow for me. I have nothing bad to say about this, Jesse was awesome, very likeable and has the patience of a saint. I just could not buy into the years of friendship with nothing happening. I need more action in my books, otherwise I start to get bored. If you like a slow pace, then sit back and enjoy this one. I am sure it would have grabbed my attention if I had of kept reading, however I ditched this one around 40%. Sorry! Just not for me.

Tussle is a romcom sports romance. It tells the story of Lilah Turner who begins working at World Class Wrestling for her dad Russ. On her first day, she meets a guy called Jesse Gunn. Jesse takes an instant liking to Lilah and asks her on a date. Lilah agrees until her dad slaps on a no fraternisation policy and later discovers Jesse is a wrestler, so she turns him down.
Jump three years later and Jesse still tries his hardest to get Lilah to date him. She spurns him every turn but he's pretty persistent. There is a definite attraction between the two and plenty of banter to boot. Lilah finds it increasingly difficult around Jesse as she secretly is attracted to him but she doesn’t want to destroy all that she’s worked for in her career. Then her dad instructs her to go on a road trip with Jesse to raise his profile. Lilah somewhat dreads having to be near Jesse and he is quite cheeky when he lets it known he is looking forward to spending more time with her. What follows is hilarity, sexual tension and possibly Jesse chipping away to melt Lilah’s heart.
The side characters are a bonus. Ronnie who's Jesse's sister and a successful female wrestler, and Wyatt is Jesse’s best friend also a fellow wrestler. They play a significant role and I would like to think we may get a further story on those characters. The banter between all the characters had me laughing and I was intrigued by the connection with them all. Flawless writing by the author and great attention to detail. It's been many years since I’ve watched wrestling, but it was written in a way that transported you right into the room, watching the show. Tussle is told in dual points of view and that’s a bonus to know what both are thinking. It was colourful being in Jesse Gunn’s mind and equally in Lilah’s as she battled with her feelings, and what she was under instruction to do.
I awarded five stars because I could not get the book out of my head and it was such an enjoyable offering. This is not your average sports romance/erotic story. The author tells this tale with building anticipation and growing chemistry. Knowledge is power, but the writing talent shows the author has a way with words. When it does eventually get to the steamy parts, well all I can say is two words, “storeroom cupboard” and leave it at that. You will have to read it to find out. Chance's repertoire of works range from suspense to sports and I’ve read them all and he gets better and better each time. He has a talent for creating protagonists and side characters that you could read repeatedly in various stories which just goes to show that he has a talent of entertaining and enchanting you through his written word. Kudos for not just another sports book, but giving a sport that not many write about a welcome change. Sports genre in general is quite saturated; however, Mr Chance's take on it is always refreshing and edge of seat stuff.

I awarded five stars because I could not get the book out of my head and it was such an enjoyable offering. This is not your average sports romance/erotic story. The author tells this tale with building anticipation and growing chemistry. Knowledge is power, but the writing talent shows the author has a way with words. When it does eventually get to the steamy parts, well all I can say is two words, “storeroom cupboard” and leave it at that. You will have to read it to find out. Chance's repertoire of works range from suspense to sports and I’ve read them all and he gets better and better each time. He has a talent for creating protagonists and side characters that you could read repeatedly in various stories which just goes to show that he has a talent of entertaining and enchanting you through his written word. Kudos for not just another sports book, but giving a sport that not many write about a welcome change. Sports genre in general is quite saturated; however, Mr Chance's take on it is always refreshing and edge of seat stuff.

I love it when Jacob Chance says he’s releasing a new book but I specifically love it when he announces it’s a Sports Romance. It’s one of my favourite genres.
I loved every bit of Tussle, Jacob left no detail unturned in this one. The storyline, the leads and sub characters where all on point and relatable. You cannot help but fall in love with Wrestling Star “Jesse Gunn” he’s Hot AF, Persistent, Talented and Hilarious. Underneath his wrestling persona is a gorgeous guy with a heart of gold and he’s not afraid to say what he wants. What he wants is a gorgeous blonde named Lilah who just started working at WCW (World Class Wrestling) and just happens to be the daughter of the CEO. As Jesse finds out she’s a stickler for rules and who is definitely not falling for his persistent charm? Or does she?
You better believe Jesse is a game player and he plays to win.
Tussle will give you a new Book Boyfriend who melts your heart and give you some laugh out loud moments. His witty smart mouth and his sexy charm will have you salivating on every page. It was a riveting read from the Prologue, but that epilogue is where you elevated this book to brilliant status for me.
As a fan of Jacobs from his very first book I can say this is his best work yet. The research, the character detail, the storyline make this a book I cannot recommend enough.

Gotta say, I really liked the originality of this one. You don’t read many romance novels about wrestlers...especially the WWF, kind of wresting. As corny as it may be, it took me way back to the 80’s, when this kind of a “phenomenon” was a huge deal!
Jacob Chance just knows how to write an H to swoon for! I love the way Jesse, was relentless in his pursuit of, Lilah. That’s old fashioned chivalry for ya, back when a man knew how to peruse a women without being a creep— with small gifts and pleasantries...*swoon*
J.C.’s epilogues are usually good ones, and this one didn’t disappoint!
Totally ready to read Wyatt & Ronnie’s story...hope that not just wishful thinking! 🤞🏼
