When writing a review here the first words you see are What did you think?

Do you know that moment when you walk into your kitchen to grab something to drink, and once you start drinking you deplete the entire glass and think, "damn, I had no idea I was that thirsty."
That is what I thought of this book.

This book was the first read of Nisha Sharma and I am glad my eyes have finally gotten a chance to be acquainted with her words. I absolutely adored the authenticity this story had. I really felt that I was getting all the deets from someone who truly understood the context and nuances, & well yeah ofc this author did.
description

This story is about two very successful and intelligent business people meeting at the wrong and right time.

We have Rajneet "Raj" Hothi who is towards the end of her divorce proceedings and looking forward to restarting her life in more ways than one now that she is free from the dead weight she's been carrying. Who then meets and has an instant attraction to Ajay Singh who is right on the precipice of taking over his father's mantle of CEO of their family empire. Thing is her ex-husband kinda screwed them both over and in the midst of all this business war fare they have their own thing going on. The story line takes off from there.

What I really liked about this book:
-the culture. I mean, again when I say I felt wholly present and aware that our mains were proud South Asian in the details, the smells, and tastes, I mean it. I just loved having Brown Billionaires. Stories like this I feel I don't see enough.

-Raj being a bad ass independent woman who owns her shit. While also showing that she is still a woman with a vulnerable side she only shows to a few. I really felt connected to her even if I wanted her to do better at times. However, she pulls through and my trust in her was paid back.
description

-Ajay being just a genuine soul. He wasn't a push over in the slightest and he made mistakes but he was in it the whole time. He was thoughtful and caring, and protective but without all the caveman bits.

TL;DR: I inhaled this story and have no regrets about it. I'm also really hungry for some masala sauce right now.

this one is totally on me, this book is the second book in the Singh Family Trilogy and I assumed each book would be a stand alone as most romance series tend to be but this book is actually really heavily reliant on the idea that you know all about the business drama that happened in the first installment. So I definitely felt very clueless and like I was walking in the middle of conversations that made no sense without prior knowledge. So perhaps I'll return to this after trying out the first book!

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

It was her blinding confidence, and a woman that confident pressed all his buttons.

Before you start this one, you'll want to read the first in the series (The Takeover Effect) as this picks up right where that one left off. The Singh family company, Bharat Inc., is still dealing with the fallout of some corporate espionage from WTA, a business trying to do a hostile buyout takeover. Ajay is the middle Singh brother and the one picked to takeover as CEO of Bharat when his father retires, which is soon. He's seen as more easygoing but with his new responsibilities, he's confidently stepping up to the plate. When he meets Rajneet Kaur Hothi at a Gen One Foundation gala, he's instantly drawn to her. Raj is bestfriends with Ajay's older brother Hem's girlfriend Mina (book 1) but also the one who alerted them to the corporate espionage that could have lost them the company because Raj's soon-to-be ex-husband Robert was the leak. Ajay's younger brother Zail blames Raj for getting one of their coders fired, a woman he seems to be in love with, and threatens to pull his support for Ajay's nomination to CEO if Ajay pursues a working relationship with Raj. If you couldn't tell, the Singh Family series is full of high-stakes family and business drama.

“Soni,” he said, knowing that the Punjabi word for beautiful fit her more perfectly than any English endearment could.

You're going to have to like some corporate world drama to like this series, it's about half of the story. I like how it gives the setting a sleek contemporary feel with high-level drama with all the power and money at stake. It also gives our characters something to do and provides a way for all our characters to interact. Raj was a fantastic strong character and I loved how it started off showing her arriving in America alone at eighteen, getting scammed, having to take those first steps alone, and then thriving and in charge with her own security business, RKH Collective. Her relationship with Robert is already on the outs when readers come in, remember he was part of the corporate espionage in book one, and they are getting a divorce. It also helps to put that relationship in the distance when Raj discusses how it was more of a partnership where they both benefited from each other's business connections, instead of a romance. This is also an Avon Impulse, so it leans more on the steamy side and my oh my is there a couple hot scenes in this. Raj owns her sexuality and a membership at an exclusive club, which leads to a possessive Ajay and some voyeurism.

Ajay grinned as he rolled his sleeves to his elbows. “You’ve made things more interesting since you’ve showed up, Rajneet Kaur Hothi. I’ll give you that.”

Ajay wasn't quite as captivating a character as Raj, he gets shadowed a lot by the business plot and I missed more scenes with his brothers, we get some battles with him and Zail over Raj but I wanted more of their loving bond. Raj has a little bit of her own family drama, we get introduced to her brother Guru, who turned her family against her when she refused to want to associate with their opium drug trading business or go back to Punjab and marry who they wanted. I liked the filling out of her character with this background but Guru just kind of hangs around getting ignored by Raj and then just leaves? The ending to Raj not going back to see her sick mother felt dropped off/open ended enough to feel very dissatisfying. Maybe Guru will show up in a spin-off series? Raj's family servant Kaka also didn't get enough scenes with her to solidify or satisfy me with the bond that could have provided some great emotions. The family connections laid out in the first book were there but not strengthen with emotional scenes in this one for me.

He grinned, pulling her close. “Soni, basa tusi itaraza karo.” Just you wait.

By 50% Ajay seems to already be all-in with Raj, he says a couple lines that allude to her being it for him and then at 60% when Raj gets scared, Ajay says she has to be the one to start things back up. Their separation doesn't last long and then they're working together again as Raj decides selling her business to Ajay will help him secure CEO and she can focus more on philanthropy work, which she has always wanted to do. The espionage is revealed to not quite be over as wrongly identified and yet to be identified moles are still a problem for Bharat, Inc. Raj takes care of business though, when her ex-husband, with some help from some of those Bharat, Inc. problems, gets a hit piece published on her. It was great how she handled it but also put Ajay more in the shadows as his character and their romance didn't shine as bright.

This was a glossy contemporary that had a lot of corporate espionage and a quick but steamy romance. The younger brother Zail looks to have some groveling to do with the misidentified mole and their cousin Bhram seems to have a tumultuous relationship with Ajay's assistant Rafael, the Singh family looks to have plenty of family, romance, and business drama on the horizon.

Having put this book on my tbr for two readathons, I was very excited to get to it. But picking it up just after finishing another one which kinda depressed me a bit was the best decision I made, because this romance made my whole weekend.

I love the romance genre for what it gives me - predictability and happiness - and this was exactly that. I have read many books with billionaire heroes before and it was always a fun indulgence, but this series by Nisha feels aspirational because this time, the billionaires are desi. The writing is fast paced with things happening very quickly, and the corporate takeover backdrop gives way for some twisty suspense, betrayals and heated moments - all resulting in a thrilling romance read that I couldn’t put down even for a second. And I really really love the yummy Chole Bhature goodness (I’m desi.. I can’t help my love for our food).

I completely fell in love with the characters right from the get go. Ofcourse we’ve already met them in The Takeover Effect so that was a plus, and Raj left a strong impression on me even then when she was only a small presence. Here she truly shines. She is a self made woman who is confident in what she wants and doesn’t shy away from tackling obstacles head on when it comes to business. But vulnerability doesn’t come easy to her, so seeing her learn to navigate the matters of the heart was a joy.

Ajay on the other hand is the typical middle child - he is passionate in every aspect of his life but tempers it with a soft heart - which some might mistake for a weakness but that he is not. The chemistry between them is electric from their first interaction and the banter is so full of fire, I was thoroughly entertained. Just like the first book, the romance might feel a bit instalovey but I’ve never had problems with that. It was actually nice to see them realize what they wanted from each other, set the right expectations and support each other fully through troubling times.

It was also nice to see Hem and Mina again and just the three brothers being the awesome trio they are. Zail did piss me off for a little while but I was glad to see the issues resolved pretty quickly. The Singh family on the whole is just so amazing and none more so than their mother who is a formidable woman but also a sweetheart.

In the end, this was a super fiery romance with two passionate characters and a nice suspense to keep you engaged throughout. If you love your billionaire romance genre, then you can’t go wrong with this one at all. It is equal parts sexy as well as sweet, and I had such a lovely time reading. Can’t wait to see which direction the series takes next with Zail’s story.

"The public never understood that business could be more entertaining, cutthroat, and sexy than Hollywood glam."

I'm tired of white rich people in romance. And outside of romance. So when I saw Ms. LaQuette recommending this book on twitter dot com, I requested it ASAP. Brown billionaires in the tech world, the heroine the CEO of her own company and the hero soon-to-be CEO of his family's company? I was ready for it. Then I started reading the book and it only gets better from that.

The romance is fire-y AF. These two bossy people are used to giving orders and they do such a good job of doing it. They love their jobs and have only thought of that for all of their lives. When they meet, Raj is not in a good place; her husband recently betrayed her and went to an enemy company to give out secrets, they're getting a divorced and she needs to figure out what to do from there. Ajay is getting ready to be named CEO of his family's company. So both of them don't need any distractions or scandals. Well...

I love that they have to take down their walls around their hearts and secrets. Raj has so many of them and she is not used to trusting people, especially after what her ex did to her. But Ajay wants her to think of him as her partner, as someone who she can trust completely and who will always be there for her. With so many ups and downs, these two will realize that they can exist in a world where their love for their job and what they do can coexist with a partner in crime who they can return home and cuddle next to. Plus THIS BOOK IS HOT!!??!? There is a sex scene where they do it at a club, but there's a one-way mirror inside their little VIP room and they see a couple doing it in front of them while also like doing IT. DAMN.

The Singh family was such a joy to read and I loved every single one of them. (Well... maybe Zail not so much, with reasons!!!! You will have to read it to know but OH MY GOD). I guess he is next in the trilogy? So I wonder how that will be like!!

Thank you to the publisher for giving me an early copy in exchange for an honest review. All the quotes are from the ARC so they might change for the finished copy.

I had read Nisha’s YA book, so when I was pitched this book, I was definitely intrigued.

I loved Raj and Ajay. They’re both strong, determined, and good people and I was thrilled to get POV chapters from both of them. There are a lot of characters here, but I really liked everyone. Ajay’s family is a damn delight.

Plot wise, it was good. There are several moving pieces and plot threads and at times it was a bit hard to follow. I did love the open communication and both of them committing to being partners in everything. I will admit to wanting a bit more at the ending, but somehow it was still perfect for the characters. I’m just greedy.

Overall, it was a quick and engaging read. I’m definitely going to read the next book and I’m looking at the first one because I loved Mina so much.

I really enjoyed this. The main characters Raj and Ajay are well-matched in strength and sensuality. Their affair, amidst messy corporate and personal upheavals, is full of passion and fascinating to read. The story is fast-paced and dramatic with twists and turns happening at breathtaking speed. Add the seamless integration of Punjabi culture, strong family ties, and super-tight friendships for a winning formula in my estimation.

My first book by Ms. Sharma. Absolutely looking forward to the next.

This book was everything I had hoped it would be and so much more. Read the whole thing today. Couldn't put it down. When I wasn't fanning myself (damn, these two are HOT), I was getting all teary over a Chihuahua puppy, drooling over Sharma's mouthwatering food descriptions, and yelling, "YES! SHOW THEM WHO'S THE BOSS!" Raj is an awesome heroine (I freakin' love her) and Ajay is her perfect match (fanning myself again). I've fallen hard for the Singh family and am already salivating for book three.

I didn’t think I was going to become obsessed with these books, but they’re about to be part of my personality so prepare to be sick of me🙄

When I read the first book I didn’t think I would like Ajay too much and Hem would be my fav but damn the standards these brothers are setting. The Punjabi nicknames they be giving their girls, their cooking, the way they talk about their girls😫😫😫

I love the family dynamics of the Singh family and I love their mom and how supportive she was of Raj.

Loved seeing Raj because she was definitely a strong bad ass b!tch.

Of course the Punjabi rep just adds on the things I love, thank you Nisha for this literally.

I can’t wait for Zail’s book omg

These books THESE BOOKS! I’m in love with this series and am halfway to devastated we don’t have a Zail book 😆. I think I might have preferred the first book, but I loved Raj a tiny bit more than Mina.
So yes I hope we get a book for Zail and in my wildest, shooting for the moon dreams hoping we get a Bhram x Rafael book/novella as well. lol I’m so ridiculous not realizing this exists already and yes I’m 100% about to dive into it.

OMG, this series!! It owns my entire desi heart and has to be one of my favorite adult romance series. I love that these books portray South Asian characters as sexy and bold, but also highlights a range of family dynamics. After loving the first book, The Takeover Effect, I've been dying to read The Legal Affair. Nisha Sharma delivers on a delectable and swoony romance helmed by a boss babe of a heroine. Romance readers are going to devour this story!

Raj, the stunning heroine of The Legal Affair, OWNS ME, BODY AND SOUL. Yes, I know that sounds incredibly cheesy, but I had so much respect and admiration for her. She has built this entire empire for herself from basically nothing. Raj was hardworking, determined, and was a woman who knew exactly what she wanted out of life. Most importantly, she wasn't afraid to go after what she wanted. She was very much of an alpha female and I was 100% here for it. In fact, it made me realize how much more I want to see alpha females in my books. At the start of The Legal Affair, she was coming off of a divorce and was ready to steer her life and career in the direction she wanted. Her ex-husband was an idiot who took basically brought her down. She is now trying to make amends which is how she meets her love interest, Ajay. What I loved about Raj was how complex and layered she was. Yes, on the outside, she was a total badass, but she was also very sensitive. Her soft side when it came to puppies and her vulnerabilities about her estranged mafia-like family back in India also made a character you hug while looking up to her in awe. You could say that I was completely in love with Raj! 😉

That's not to say that I didn't love Ajay. He was the perfect companion for Raj. While the chemistry between them burned strong from the moment they met, they didn't start off on the right foot since he wasn't sure he believed that Raj was not involved with her ex-husband and his schemes to bring down Ajay's family company. But they somehow wind up circling each other and neither can deny the intensity of their passion. Ajay was as intelligent and hardworking as Raj was. I loved how much his love and respect for his family shone through The Legal Affair. What I loved best about him was how he viewed Raj as his equal. They were both pretty powerful and he constantly showed Raj that he respected and marveled at her. Ajay was a giant softie and it showed in all his interactions with Raj and his family. I don't think I quite realized how much I love a soft hero who is also excellent at all the dirty talk. Phew!! Raj was also very good at the dirty talk by the way and I loved that we got to see a couple where both the characters were vocal about their sexual desires -the bedroom scenes were very hot! I also really loved the softer and more emotional moments between the two. They could be super cute together and it made my shipper heart very happy.

If you want to read a series about rich brown people thriving, living their best lives, and falling in love with each other, don't sleep on the Singh Family series, romance bookworms!

Yup. I literally called that I would be obsessed with the Singh brothers after read this. I also think I died every time these characters used Punjabi terms of endearment. I really liked how this book contrasted with The Takeover Effect! Hem & Mina's story was more of a whirlwind romance, but Ajay and Raj really got down to business (iykyk) and that balance was really cool. I'm beyond excited for Zail's book!

I've only read two books by this author (including this one) and both have been, weirdly enough, solid threes somewhere in the middle only to come out as 4s or 4.5s by the end. I don't know if I've read too many romances lately and the formula gets to me around the argument stage or what.

Either way they both picked back up.

So let's talk about Mrs. Singh. All of the women in these books are fully formed characters with complex motivations and personalities, but especially (surprisingly?) Mrs Singh, who is not particularly business-y (she says) but is clearly people savvy and listened to by her family (and has equal shares in the company!) does not fall easily into any category I am used to for romances or indeed most books I've read lately. She herself enjoys her traditional role within her culture to a degree, but she also doesn't push it on any of the heroines and steps out it when she feels like it and clearly taught her sons to take on equal emotional and domestic labor within relationships, as she and Mr. Singh seem to do. She's not going to rock up into the boardroom and read anybody the riot act, but she will absolutely show up to her son's girlfriend's apartment with food, be kind to said girlfriend who is having a rough time, and encourage her to go kick ass and take names at a press conference and literally hold said girlfriend's hand right up to the last moment.

Does it mean I'm old when my favorite character in a romance novel is the mom? Whatever. Mrs. Singh is amazing.

There’s definitely something about powerful couples in boardrooms and offices, dominating corporations and work-life, that is smoking hot. And Sharma totally delivers in her Singh Family trilogy. THE LEGAL AFFAIR’s fast pace (regarding both romance and events) will keep readers’ attention as it follows the Singh family’s company, Bharat, Inc, as the middle brother Ajay steps up to take the mantle of CEO. Not all things are that simple, however, and Sharma promises a story full of corporate intrigue, betrayals, and revelations as the Singh family and their loved ones must team up to save their company and legacies.

"Raj: Never attend an event, business or pleasure, unless you're aware of all the major players in the room. You'll put yourself at a serious advantage.
Ajay: And you're one of those major players?
Raj: I'm one of the more dangerous ones you have to worry about.”

I was not prepared for how absolutely delicious this book was. The intrigue, the chemistry, the intensity and strength of the protagonists, everything about this book kept me on the edge of my seat, anxiously anticipating the unfolding of the next moment.

First, this cover is definitely worthy of mentioning.. Sexy brown protagonists in a passionate embrace, living their best, sexy lives will always be a draw for me. The cover also depicts the tone of the book perfectly: corporate intrigue, enemies to lovers, breathtakingly sexy from the first page to the last.

The Legal Affair demolishes the docile South Asian stereotype from beginning to end. The heroine & the hero are both bosses who pull no punches. They have a steady game of one-upmanship going that only raises the stakes throughout the story. It's foreplay and it’s so damn hot!

The story also subverts the idea that a man willing to take direction from a woman is weak. We also see that a powerful woman is SEXY! The hero is out of his depth in a business matter & the heroine instructs him how to play to win. Her knowledge is part of his attraction to her. It heightens his desire for her and makes him even more determined to have her.

Lastly, the book is just hot, & the heroine is unapologetic about her sexual appetites. She tells the hero if he can't satisfy her the way she wants she has no use for him. Here's the best part, he doesn't see that as a slight. To him, it's a challenge he’s determined to exceed.

My verdict: go pre-order/buy this book today. Here's why:

✅ There are happy, affluent, smart, & sexy brown people living their best lives.

✅ The familial & cultural bond is perfect and drives the heart of the story

✅ The corporate intrigue is exciting

✅ THE SEX IS HOT AS HELL!

Fabulous characters. Raj is fierce with a secret vulnerable side, and I loved how Ajay loves all the different aspects of her personality. The rest of the Singh family and their associates make for a wonderful secondary cast. I would personally have liked a bit more with Raj and Ajay together and a bit less with the business side of everything, but your mileage may vary, especially if you enjoy business/legal/corporate intrigue. I do wish there was an epilogue, but I'm sure we'll see more of Raj and Ajay in the next installment in the series. As usual, Ms. Sharma's writing shines and the business, the food, and the family are all deliciously rich.

The book contains explicit sex scenes so if you're not into that please don't read it.

I have been trying to finish the 1st book for months but it gets so boring at times, I have to stop. Oh, but this one was not boring at all. I actually really loved the relationship even though the build-up from attraction to love was so fast, but when you know you know, right? (or something like that, i don't know, i take my sweet ass time and fall in love once in 100 years)

If you haven't read the first one, don't read this one. They do not work as a standalone - a big part of the plot was intertwined with the plot from book one and the past main characters made several appearances. Also, the characters of this book are also introduced in the last one. I didn't mind because spoilers don't bother me that much and the plot of the 1st book is predictable (which isn't bad) so wasn't news to me.

But about this one - oh my god. Ajay was so sweet and charming and i loved him. He was actually a powerful man with a great personality. Raj had "badass woman" written all over and I enjoyed it so much. Apart from love and relationships, she wasn't afraid and grabbed the bull by the horns in every situation (fuck you, robert!).

About the smut, I loved it. It was well written and it felt real, not like "perfect sex we see in movies" kinda deal. I didn't like the way she was portrayed as "not vanilla type" but then she was? Like there were no kinks explored or fantasies and sex they had was very common stuff. Unless I have a different definition for vanilla sex. Side note, he called her pussy "cunt" and I had to gag on the bus!

Overall, I really liked this one. It was a surprise because I thought it would be dull at the beginning like the first one.

This is a great book if you are looking for a steamy and hot love affair! This book by Nisha Sharma takes us on the journey of Raj and Ajay who have instantaneous chemistry from the beginning of the novel. Raj is going through a divorce (which was mostly in name only) while Ajay is trying to steady and build his family's company. There is definitely a bit of workplace drama as Ajay initially dismisses Raj because of her ex-husbands sneaky ways but eventually they decide to join forces to find out who is causing trouble in the company. These two have every reason to distrust each other which makes for some heated confrontations (with underlying sexual tension of course). The steaminess factor is definitely high in this one as there are quite a few hot to handle scenes. One of my favorite parts of the book was when Raj finally lowered her guard and allowed herself to be vulnerable with Ajay. I think that was a major turning point for them as a couple. Overall- I enjoyed the romantic relationship between the two of them as the highlight of the book (could have done without so much of the spy story line but understood how that impacted the narrative).

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

4.5*s of sexy, security focussed, Singh romance!

This is the second book in the series, and I really think you need to have read book 1, as the underlying story continues, and is key to the issues between Raj and Ajay. I am assuming that you are up to date in my review.

Thanks to Raj's company discovering the mole at Bharat's, the plot to steal their intellectual property has been foiled. Unfortunately, Raj has now discovered that her husband has stolen some of her information and secured himself a job at that the very company that was undertaking the espionage. They never had a conventional marriage, but it is definitely time to sever ties, and that is exactly what Raj has in play - a divorce is now an urgent requirement.

At an event, Raj and Ajay meet for the first time, and the sparks fly - but then the betrayal of trust is revealed and we get to see just how cruel Ajay can be, even if with some cause. As the corporate crazy is going on, so is the intensity of their attraction for each other - something which neither of them is ready to even consider. Raj satisfies her desires at a club, and Ajay avoids any entanglements which might get his mother hopeful! What a fabulous pair they make.

This is a fast-paced, espionage driven family-value laden story, with a very passionate romance intertwined - a most satisfying read, thank you Nisha Sharma. I am very much looking forward to book 3 already.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
Raj is a self-made woman, she came to America at the age of 18 and made a life and company for herself. She married her college boyfriend, not for love but for money. After her company became successful, she repaid him and their marriage is over. She is on her own and going head-to-head with Ajay.
Ajay is the future CEO of a large company that Raj helped with a hostile takeover. As the two get to know each other the sparks between them fly like the Fourth of July fireworks. He loves her fierce mind and spirit. He wants her by his side in the future.
Can they work together to find who is trying to destroy them both? Will Raj let down her guard to let Ajay close? Can Ajay accept her past so they can have a future?
I liked the first book in this series but Raj and Ajay as a couple I liked even more. They fought for each other and protected each other the way a couple should. Even though they were just starting a relationship. This is a great story with a hint of suspense in wondering who wants to destroy both Raj and Ajay. So sit back and enjoy this wonderful ride.

I really enjoyed and connected with this book - each time I picked it up I ended up reading for far longer than expected. Heat level is HOT! At least for me who doesn't read super steamy. I loved seeing such a strong businesswoman in Raj who wasn't a cliche bumbling idiot when it came to romance. Her family history felt deeply ingrained in her character and that contrast against Ajay and his enmeshed family business provided great conflict. I'll put a spoiler tag on this next part just in case but it's not overly detailed:

The Legal Affair is one of those books I just couldn't wait to get my hands on! I loved the first story in the Singh Family series, and I have to say that Sharma brought everything even higher with this one! I loved both Rajneet and Ajay! Rajneet had a solid plan when she arrived in the US, and she definitely stuck to it. She built her empire, with a husband (that was mostly for show), and when push came to show, she had a backup plan that was solid, too.
Ajay was set to be the next CEO of Bharat, and he had his work cut out for him. There was someone feeding information to a major business opponent, and Rajneet's security firm was unable to figure out who the culprit was.
The sparks flew between the two main characters from the first time they met. However, rather quickly, things turned a bit sour because of the security breach, and the possibility that Rajneet's soon-to-be ex was behind it - at least in part.
I didn't only love the main couple, though, I loved Ajay's family, the friendships, and the business savvy they all had. I can't wait to read more in this series.

From the very first page, I was captivated by the balls-to-the-wall-badass Raj. She transformed from a young naive girl to the master of her own destiny and refused to ever let go of the reins. While not exactly warm and fuzzy, the point is that Raj is an unlikable heroine because she is a heroine to be feared and respected.
"Do you think intimidation works on me?" Raj said, arching one long eyebrow. "I eat men in suits like you for breakfast, Ajay Singh."

The first book in this series was so amazingly good, and somehow this one is even better. Raj and Ajay are a lustful enemies to lovers story at it’s finest. This story is powerful, romantic, sexy, and just so good. The mystery from book one continues, and I can’t wait for the next story and couple to finish it!

Thank you NetGalley, HarperCollins Publishers and Nisha Sharma for gifting me an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
Sexy, intense, and unapologetically powerful this book was a total surprise. Let’s be honest, most romances are alpha white male with a damsel in distress white woman. I loved to see an author embracing a female who was so strong. I loved Ajay’s energy in the boardroom. Raj did too. Their chemistry was full blast steam throughout. I’m such a sucker for a good enemies-to-lovers, workplace romance.
After a few bland romances, The Legal Affair checked all my boxes!
