Since recovering from a sniper's bullet, homicide detective Maggie Girard has been able to see ghosts. Due to an ongoing story line, the author recommends this series be read in order, beginning with Awakening the Fire.
A sequel trilogy may be re-released in the future.
The Maggie York Paranormal Mystery trilogy, set in New Orleans and the Crosskeys trilogy may also be re-released with revised editions as time permits.

Of the three Maggie York mysteries, this is by far my favorite! All the characters I’ve grown to love are here, plus a few new ones and some rounding out of others. The storyline works on three different levels of intensity, and this works well to occupy your mind. She is more independent this time, and it was fun to see her stretch. The ghost activity is different, and well thought-out. All in all it’s an effective, fun book, and I liked it even more than the first two. I loved the fire-witch books (all of them!) but I was ready for a switch, and I hope Maggie continues for many books to come!
