I have said this before about Quintero’s books and I will say it again: the glossary is frustratingly ill-constructed. Simple level 1 & 2 words are included, but words like “se restrigó” or “costillas” or “aguanto” or “mariscos” are excluded.

The story itself was interesting. It was difficult to track at times, but that’s probably more to do with my poor Spanish and less to do with her writing.

This is book one of three.

I purchased both suggestions, I did read both back to back. Out respect I always complete each book even if I don't like what I find. You should not judge a book by its cover but in this case I must say 'don't fall for it'
Unfortunately I was disappointed I wasted time reading this. Apparently this book is used to teach Spanish somewhere... really?

Definitely one of my favorite Spanish learning books. Most Spanish books I've found are like "yeah, that was cute." This starts that way, but gets weird and interesting fairly quickly. Will definitely keep reading the series!
