Serial Termination by Arnon Edelstein An Engrossing Crime Thriller #BookReview

Serial Termination: A Chilling Dark Serial Killer Crime Thriller (Suspenseful Murder Investigation Novel) by Arnon Edelstein is an enthralling story. It is a dark, chilling, and suspenseful thriller by all aspects. The story is about two investigators falling in love with each other while working on a case together. The case is about a horrifying serial killer. The killer always targets women that too who had abortions at some moment in their life. The killer is brutally killing those women one by one. And after killing his target he throws the body at a busy intersection in the city. The case comes to a female criminologist who takes charge or solving this case. She has a partner in this mission. The other person is a retired military detective. While working on this mysteriously tough case, the duo falls in love. The investigation reaches an intense juncture.

You need to grab Serial Termination: A Chilling Dark Serial Killer Crime Thriller (Suspenseful Murder Investigation Novel) by Arnon Edelstein to enjoy it thoroughly. It is really a suspense why the serial killer targets only women that too falling into a specific category. Is it some kind of mind distortion that spells him do it or there is some other reason behind it? It becomes important for the lady criminologist to read the mind of the killer to get to the crux of the matter. Obviously, it is important to understand his motive. It seems there is a personal reason that motivates killer to do what he is doing. Also, apparently he assumes himself to be God to decide on the fate of his targets. He, in fact, decides whom he should stay alive and whom to kill. It continues until someone decides on the killer's fate.

A large brown sack with blood stripes on it is lying at an intersection. A soldier is first to witness it. While he tries to ascertain the suspense two men approach with the same amount of curiosity. They try to figure out what it could be inside the sack. Whether it was a pet or an animal? At the same time, a group of Arab laborers witnesses the same sack. But they are hesitant to get closer and intrigue. Because they are more eager to reach their workplace. Finally, the people present there decide to call police instead of opening the sack on their own. This is just the beginning. There is a lot more to grab in Serial Termination: A Chilling Dark Serial Killer Crime Thriller (Suspenseful Murder Investigation Novel) by Arnon Edelstein.

Murder, Emotional Growth and Love collide

I had been asked to review this book and was able to read using my Amazon Prime membership. That being said it was a very interesting read.
I had originally thought this was "just" a murder mystery but was pleasantly surprised.
Yes it was a murder mystery but had very few graphic details. It was a wonderful read showing the emotional growth of the two main characters who later allowed love to grow while working the most intense case of their police careers.
I will be looking for more from Amon Edelstein.

Blood, body parts and a sprinkling of romance, this book has it all…and more.

Author and criminologist Arnon Edelstein weaves a compelling and graphic tale of murder and mystery with intriguing twists and turns that will captivate the reader’s attention from the beginning. The author paints a grisly and unsettling story of a serial killer in a very vivid and convincing way. In addition, the characters are drawn with great credibility and integrity. If you’re looking for a dark Mystery, Thriller & Suspense that’s packed to the rafters with blood, body parts and a sprinkling of romance, this book has it all…and more.

The story had every element a good story should have. An exciting plot, attention to detail, but best of all fleshed out, well-written and well-rounded character development. There’s an abundance of well-illustrated scenes that make you feel like you are right there in the story, and that’s something I really look for in a good book. The psychological aspect is accomplished in the delivery of exciting and titillating prose. From mild illusions through detailed, graphic scenes, the concept is wonderfully delivered in truly amazing writing. Not for the faint-hearted, this book will only appeal to true hardcore thriller fans.

The book description gives a sneak preview: ‘Women who have had abortions suddenly go missing; their bodies are found at busy intersections. A female criminologist and a retired military detective go to work solving the case. As the investigation progresses a fragile romance takes hold between the two, though their pasts render them distrustful of one another. Good friends help them overcome their emotional obstacles to their newfound love. As the investigation intensifies the criminologist enters the lion’s den to crack the mystery.

The book shows how a man turns himself into God, deciding who should live and who should die, until he must face his own death. Now, if that’s not enough to whet your appetite, I don’t know what will. But if you want to find out what happens, you’ll just have to turn the pages for yourself! However, I will say it was well worth the read. It’s my first time reading this author and I must say I was very impressed.

Captivating and commendable, this work had me immersed from the beginning. The story flowed from scene to scene with ease, and the author shows exceptional ability when it comes to storytelling. There are plenty of attention-grabbing moments in this page turner that will take the reader on a truly gripping journey!

It’s one of those books that come along occasionally that makes you want to read it non-stop until you get to the end. I’m giving nothing further away here. And this, I hope, will only add to the mystery and enjoyment for the reader.

Even if you are a seasoned campaigner of crime fiction, Serial Termination will surely raise more than a few hairs on the back of your neck. It was a good read and the author gave a perspective into the mind of a serial killer that was both fascinating and intriguing. This was one of the best crime novels that I’ve read recently.

If this book is anything to go by, I’ll certainly be looking forward to reading more from Arnon Edelstein in the future. I would definitely recommend this book and would love to see it adapted for the Silver Screen. I honestly think it would make a fantastic movie. A well-deserved five stars.

I have read many books on serial killing and murder mysteries. One should not expect a comforting narration from books with crime and mystery theme. This book also follows the suit though at some places I found the narration too much gory and discomforting. If I talk about the plot, it is a well crafted and well thought of story that has been executed well considering the genre to which it belongs.
I think the narration went a bit violent and overboard. It may not go well with many readers. However, the psychology of the killer has been beautifully depicted in the story. It unearths many truths about the thought process of serial killers and psychopaths.
The ending is good and I liked it.
The cover could have been better and more appealing. The title is also too long and could have been shorter.
Overall I liked the theme and the story of the book. However, the narration was a bit too much for me and that is why only giving a 3 stars to the book. Those who love reading hardcore crime thrillers must read this book.

Serial killer novels have some unique problems. First and foremost is there is no clear connection between the psychopath and his/ her victims. S/he can strike anywhere on anyone.

a body of young woman is found. Detective Dorit and Moti are assigned to the case. First this looks like an isolated case but soon other bodies start piling up. One thing common amongst them is that they recently has abortions. Dorit and Moti falls in love and when Dorit is also abducted, Moti is devastated. Can he stop the killer before it is too late?

Arnon Edelstein is a criminologist whose interests focus on the connection between immigration and crime, and how that relationship crosses generations. The book is a fast pacy thriller. The love angle is not soppy and the professionalism is maintained. The book tells that a psychopath lacks emotion and he is not necessarily violent. They can be anywhere in management, government, medicine etc.

4/ 5 stars.

Sorry, could not finish this book

I rarely start a book and not finish it, but this is so poorly written I had no choice. The author had a good idea but I felt more like I was reading an outline rather than the book. There was little dialogue and what dialogue was there was stilted and forced. This book seemed the work of a student or an amateur trying their hand at writing. Too many good books available to waste time on this one.

An amazing read

This book is so well written that it is too difficult to isolate parts for special praise! It involves police, Israeli special forces, a psychopathic surgeon and a plot that is believable and really well introduced and also has a nail biting finish!

Dark is right

A really good thriller. It has poor editing and some awkward phrases but I was on the edge of my seat at the end.. AND the end was satisfying. Very violent and graphic.

The storyline was ok but the writing not so much. Did the author use an editor? There are so many spelling and grammatical errors that I can’t believe it got published. Sorry to be so critical....perhaps it was a first try for this author.

Sort of Gory

Just a little too much gore wrapped around a love story but interesting development of the characters. Will read the author again.
