This is a pretty useful vocabulary-building workbook. I think this would be helpful for any students who are taking the SAT or ACT as a prep for some words they might encounter. Each page has about 3 or 4 vocabulary words with the definition and an example of it used in a sentence, followed by a short activity (fill in, matching, etc). The words are categorized by various themes (words you might find in science, for instance). I just wish the activities were a bit longer, and that is probably my only beef with the book. Pretty solid book, though, especially if you want to learn challenging words and improve your vocabulary.
This book has 200 lessons and good practice pages with excellent and great words to learn, but don't think is most of the common daily writing use. Overall great book
This vocabulary builder contains a terrific amount of words to greatly sharpen your vocabulary most astutely. For anyone, native or non-native English, this book is excellent to memorise.
