didn’t read the full novel but extracts for uni HOWEVER this counts for me like i’ve done so much reading for this goddamn module.
i’ve not read much chinese literature alongside not much on nationalism so this was incredibly interesting, a good exploration of village life under occupation and the everyday intolerance the people faced.
