Seek tells the story of a group of childhood friends who have grown up and still managed to keep in touch. Most of them have their own problems but root and care for each other deeply. However, there is something that hides in the shadows. A secret that threatens to spill out and destroy all of their lives... Seek is a nostalgic thriller with Christian overtones that manages to find a balance between everyday life and lives that are falling apart. There is a real sense of unease throughout the book, with some of the friends struggling with mental or alcohol problems while the couple who have got it altogether just may not have. It's a face paced easy read with some strong character moments. There was one moment that made me gasp out loud. My only criticisms were was I wish this was longer so I could get more of the backstory of these characters. It felt like it only scraped the surface of what these friends are going through. It does turn very thrillery by the end but it manages to do so without it being a total shock. And the ending is... I've said too much. Just make sure you're the seeker.
