Helpful overall. Thought provoking. Felt formulaic though, as in do this to get this. It came across as thinking that love languages are the answer to all of life's problems and that made me a bit wary. It can be a good tool though.

This book is a very practical book that, while aimed towards married couples going through hard times, can be applied to any relationship. I look forward to applying the themes to my romantic relationship and to relationships with his family and mine. While many self help type books can feel repetitive and lengthy, this book felt like the iteration of examples were just enough to help you truly understand the concepts. I will be gifting this book!

An easy-to-understand read. Some of the author's misogyny threatened to reveal; "We are far more efficient in thinking and speaking", which I took to mean men. Are women not skilled at thinking? Also, a dabble of Christian teachings in it, not too much. Helpful suggestions that are easy to implement. Not bad.

I read this book after getting married. It was really neat to be able to identify my own love language as well as that if my husband. We definitely have different ways in which we need to feel our love. I definitely think this helped us and would recommend this to other couples.

It's an interesting read. I didn't keep up with it for implementation, though; so I don't have a lot to say about its efficacy.
