Kendrick is a broken man who drowns the sorrow of losing his wife in the many jugs of Ale that he now dependant on. He's vowed he will never love another woman again until his friend convinces Kendrick to hire a housemaid from the local tavern to help take care of his home and children. Over time he finds he's having a harder and harder time resisting the beautiful red headed tavern maid and the desire she has awakened.

Victoria Zak is utterly amazing. She took this fascinating trilogy and ended it with a bang. I loved every second of this book and read it in less then a day becuase it was just too good to put down. If it was possible I would give her more then 5 stars for this incredible novel. Well done Ms. Zak.

Leana Keith is a Blood drinker trying to hide from the Snowdrop Queen of the unseelie court. Hopefully taking over someone else's life will make the queen believe she is dead. She is trying her hardest to keep her inner beast under control. Can she live as a human?
Kendrick Fletcher lost his wife in childbirth five years ago and has never recovered. Even the love he has for his children has not stopped him from the drinking to drown his sorrows. His best friend is trying to persuade him that he and the children need a woman in their lives.
Our characters will have more than a few scary moments when the truth comes to light. Who will save whom when the big battle comes? This is the third book in the series and is probably better read in order. I haven't read the previous books and still understood and enjoyed this one. It would spoil the others if you read it before them.

This is the final book in the trilogy, and I think my favorite.
Leana has so many things going against her. She just wants what is best for those she cares about. But it seems no matter what she does, nothing goes right.
From the moment she meets Kendrick there is an almost unnatural pull for both of them. But Kendrick isn’t really ready to admit to needing anyone but his dead wife. And Leana isn’t sure she isn’t putting undue influence on Kendrick, which she doesn’t want to do.
But when things really matter, Leana is willing to give up everything to protect everyone she cares about, even Kendrick and his children. Will she have to do the unthinkable? Or will those that love her be able to keep her from making the ultimate sacrifice?

“Wicked Darkness” is the third book in a series, but still the reader can follow the plot quite nicely just by picking up this book ...

This is the final book in the series and the one book I have been waiting for . I really wanted to read Leana's story. Leana has been running for so long . She has guilt that she thinks she has destroyed her sisters lives with what has happened and the death of her mother. Until the day she finds a way to hide from the magic around her and keep her hidden from Queen Snowdrop. She hides out as a human woman. Everything was going well until the day Kendrick walked into the pub where Leana was working . He stirs up feeling in her that can not be denied . But when he brings her home to be housemaid to his children . Desires are ignited and passion fires are lit . Will their love help Leana and Kendrick and save the people they both love . Or will the denial hurt them all
This is such a great way to end the series , the characters are so carefully crafted and so well written . Leana is such a complex woman . She is carrying so much guilt at the start of the book . She is also very desperate and wanting to hide. She just wants to hide from everything . But as you read you see her grow into a very strong woman and does what needs to be done even give up on true love to save her family . I think out of all the sisters she is my favourite . She is so much more complex and you will fall in love with her . You will also want to shake her a few times through out the book also . Kendrick on the other hand you want to dump his head in a water trough a few times . He is gruff and also so broken . He is still trying to come to terms with the death of his beloved wife and doesn't really treat the children well. When he meets Leana and brings her home . We start to see him change and come back to life . He grows and becomes lovable . Just like all the authors male characters . He is tortured and you just want to hug him and make him feel better .
Leana's sisters are back helping her out . They come with their mates and rally around the two lovers and help them realize that their love is strong that will help heal them .
The author takes us on one last adventure full of love and intrigue . There is a big battle and you will cheer and also shed a tear or two . I am glad the author took us on the journey and happy that the story ended up the way it did . Great story and trust me you will fall in love with the characters . You need to read the books in order but I strongly say read them all . You will not be disappointed

This is book #3 and the awesome conclusion to the Darkness Series and of the three Keith sisters. This is Leana Keith, the blood drinkers story. It's all about the trials and tribulations she goes through and the hope of finding salvation and the chance of a normal life. Of her meeting a widower, Kendrick Fletcher who hires her as a housemaid and to help with his 3 children.
This was the most emotional story of the series. It has suspense, action, magic and sweet romance. Highly recommend this book and series. Would also advise you to read the first two books to have more of an understanding of what has transpired and leads to this story.

Book three and the last in the trilogy here we have Leana Keith hiding from the wicked queen. She is hired by distraught widower Kendrik as a house maid to look after his three children.
Can they both heal each other and can she escape the evil queen
Grab a copy, I loved this final conclusion just as much as the others in the series

Exciting end to this paranormal trilogy. Leana is a very complex heroine. Hard yet soft, cruel yet kind. This plot had lots of exciting twists. Best part of all it ends with romance and happy ever afters for the three sisters.

I have to say this is a highly entertaining book that you will not be able to put down till the very end. Your moved from one location to the next without pause and kept on the edge of your seat as your drawn into this world with a wicked queen to defeat!!

3rd book of the series of the 3 sisters who unfortunately through the love for their mother gave up their humanity...without knowing it. But in the end everything turned out so well for all 3 sisters. What a wonderful trip Victoria took us on with all 3 books! Loved every minute of them.

What a great conclusion to the Daughters of Highland Darkness Trilogy. Able to defeat the Unseelie Queen and all of her subjects. Action packed adventure at every turn. Exciting and entertaining.
