Paige was sold by her mother when she was just eight years old. For the next several years she lives in what feels like hell until one fateful day she is saved. Now all she wants to do is be a normal teenager and find a little happiness when she'd never really had any before. Enter Draco, Falcon, and Hawke who warm her heart in ways that she didnt even think possible. And like any relationship there will be ups and downs, and of course people that think one female with three males is unorthodox. But Paige's never had a normal life. Will she ever get to be normal and find happiness, especially when danger lurks right around the corner?
This is a book that tells you what happens instead of letting the characters show you. That’s frustrating because the book could have been so much better.
- The characters to be “filled out.” - The female lead had a major traumatic experience and her recovery is glossed over. - The male leads just decide to talk to her but we never know why. - Their relationship is instant and without explanation. - There is no issue of their relationship with society. - The ending is rushed.
Again, I liked the premise of the story. I think the execution needs work. I’m glad I read it on KU.
I really debated on the stars before settling on 3.
1- this needs editing. Its not the worse, just enough to be annoying for reading comprehension.
2- the story draws you in immediately. The MFC is interesting and you want to get to know her better.
3- the story moves fast. Way too fast. There isnt really any depth after the initial beginning. It just runs too quickly to get extra critical details I wanted to know or any questions answered.
4- theres a point made that none of the guys are in her classes. Then at the end the author must have forgotten, bc suddenly one of the guys is sitting in her class.
5- there was a lot of repetition in this story. SO many words/sentences could be eliminated. Or worded differently. Just a lot of extra that didn’t need to be in the story.
6- at the same time, SO much was missing! This is just a quick short story. Could have been significantly expanded by adding more character depth. More anything other than repetition and the scenes there are being overly detailed with many words.
7- not a story I would reread, but a decent boredom buster.
3.5. Super cute quick read. Paige has lived with only her mother until she sold her for drug money. Now she lives with her torturer. She spends years locked in a room, never having gone to school or ever really knowing anyone else. Until a noise complaint finds her rescued and reunited with a father she doesn’t remember. As she learns who she is and goes to school she meet three brothers who softly worm their way into her heart. Super cute read. Not heavy but very light. Do have to add 1.5 points to my RH kidnapping tally
No spice/ high school/ why choose/ MFMM/ OM drama/ hurt/comfort/ HEA
Trigger warning: neglectful parenting/ human trafficking/ abuse/ violence/ assault/ trauma/ SA/ murder/ attempted murder/ death
The story was interesting and the characters had potential but the writing could use a little work. This book didn’t necessarily need any spice but some of the intimate moments between the characters felt inorganic.
this book had the potential to be SO good! It just seemed very rushed and so over the place. I felt like we kinda skipped over all her trauma of literally being held captive for 8 plus years. If this just was longer and had a lot more details it would be 5 stars for sure!!
I enjoyed this short read but if I could say anything it was too short. I loved how we were introduced to the lead characters and would love to see more from them but all in great effort from this new author keep up the good work scarlett
I love rough beginning and happy endings, this book had exactly that. The female lead is strong especially when she has to overcome her past, the guys, yes they are triplets, are the best.
This was a cute YA quick read. The plot line was interesting. The interactions between the main characters were a bit too cutesy for my taste but they were teenagers so it was fine. Overall a good read.
The book was excellent! Well written and told A very compelling. Finding love after so much pain. I will definitely read more by this author. Well done and Thank you for such a wonderful story.
This book is textbook Wattpad circa 2012-2014. I would imagine the author wrote this rather young based on similar books I’ve read during that period and the overall maturity level and plot development of the book.
This book held a lot of promise. I liked the main characters. The guys were sweet amd supportive. However this whole book needs another really good editing. There were a lot of mistypes. I think with another good edit this book has great potential.
