I love where this story is going, and am always amazed how Remender interlaces backstory within all of the chaos so effortlessly. Getting to know these characters both through their past and while they fight/flee for their lives is powerful. I also fell in love with the artwork in this particular issue. Utilizing different medium for backstory is one of the best indicators of a transition, and showing Z's past in cool watercolors was beautiful. Not to mention, one of the hardest things to show in comics at times are action packed fight scenes, and the one between our favorite rivals was fantastically rendered with a still of every painful action shot, emphasizing both of their strengths. Everything in this story just keeps building and I can's wait for more.

This whole new arc of Deadly Class is just plain awesome. I feel like the characters and story are heading back to its former glory of violence, gore and mischief. And I’m here for all of it.

Once again the story finds its pacing through action and back stories. What matters most is these incredible characters, their flaws and motivation to survive.
