NON-FICTION Your Daily Bible Verse Romance In A Month 366 Ways to Know Your Character Love Stories: Writing a Romance Novella
Audiobook Review: I absolutely love the synopsis of this story. A romance writer, who writes thriller novel's under a male pen name, a Navy Seal working on his first novel neither looking for love. Can fantasy turn into reality? Perfect Match offers all the ingredients for a romantic fun in the sun read. A swirl of laughter, love, & optimism. Jade & Aiden are cute together with their comical banter & undeniable chemistry which each deny. I enjoyed the narration of this story, however, I felt Aiden's voice could use some improvement. Overall, a well narated story.
Ayala believes in the direct approach. The best romances are the least complicated ones, yet it's the emotions that bring on the complications. Jade is at it's best a relaxing tale of angst, heart and humor. As a romance writer Jade wants to believe in the fantasy, but reality keeps bringing her down. Aiden needs a little down time away from his dangerous career and matchmaking mom. A little fun in the sun is just what the doctor ordered. Or is it just what their hearts crave? Perfect Match has all the ingredients to have readers believing in love.
Jade: Perfect Match is a delightfully engaging story that will rev your heart alive and keep it going with jolts of love, laughs, and hope. These stories are precious and tons of fun to enjoy. This short story will wrap itself around you like a warm blanket on a cold, winter day and bring a bit of sunshine and warmth into your very soul. You will find yourself smiling and hoping it doesn’t end too soon.
Jade is a romance author who has forgotten how to use her heart in real life. She lives day by day in the shadows until going on a free vacation she was gifted from a friend. Aiden Lin was pushed into the same vacation by his well-meaning mother and sister. All he is looking for is come peace and quiet, but if he happens to find more from a sweet and sexy lady he certainly won’t complain. When Jade feels her heart respond to Aiden she scrambles to keep control until Aiden proposes a deal that will benefit them both. Can Jade keep her heart under her normal tight reign, or will she find that she is helpless to defend herself from the one man who can make her come undone?
Watching these two fantastic characters get to know each other and then figure out that they fit so well together while keeping their hearts out of the mix was a sometimes hilarious and sometimes steamy endeavor. It was completely unforgettable and such a sweet summer romance to savor and enjoy. I hope to hear more from this scintillatingly wonderful couple. This was a perfect read to cheer up my own heart.
Rachelle Ayala is a fabulous author who knows how to bring light and warmth to a heart that has slowly grown cold and complacent. She knows how to balance the perfect mix of steam and humor in a story to keep your interest and keep you guessing every step of the way. Her stories keep getting better, and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
This is the one of the books in the Perfect Match Book series. Six different authors wrote novellas linked by a unifying theme. The six women receive invitations for a week long vacation to an island of their choice from the owner of Perfect Match, Dawson Yates. Dawson hopes to make six perfect matches to enhance his business. Jade Reed receives one of the invitations to go to an Island of her choice. She chose Ile d’Armour. It is a tropical broken heart shaped island located in the southeast corner of the Caribbean. Jade plans to make this a business and pleasure trip as her father has an interest in the resort. Jade filled out the questionnaire on a lark, making herself into a demanding, hard to get along with person. She came from money so she is very spoiled and self-centered. Jade is a romance author with one name and writes mystery/ suspense under a masculine name. She is looking for a personal retreat week. Navy SEAL Aiden Lin is home on leave. He learns his mother and sister have signed him up for the Perfect Match vacation. He is not looking forward to this adventure. His favorite author will be on this island so he hopes to meet up with him so he can become this authors co-writer. The initial meeting between Jade and Aiden wasn’t exactly great but they decide to stay on the island together for a week. There was definitely and undeniable chemistry that sparked between them. They both are pretending to deny it is there. The writing is very talented with several well plotted adventures for the couple to partake. Both characters were well defined and very realistic. The supporting characters added to the story. Will a little fun surrounded by an island setting bring them closer? Will they find their a Perfect Match in each other? My favorite part was the hike up to the dormant volcano edge. Aiden was so well prepared for any situation that arose. Fast paced book in a beautiful setting starting with the first word and keeping you entertained up to the very last page. A Highly Recommended Read!!
I like this new series, Perfect Match, where the Perfect Match dating site matches a couple together to spend a week at an island of their choice. Jade is a fun story full of romance, chemistry, secrets, an ex-fiance, a romance writer, a want to be writer, and a sexy Navy Seal. What a fun plot! I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
I really enjoyed Jades Story if finding-the perfect match even though she wasn’t really looking for love she found it on an island getaway sponsored by a company that paid for a vacation for Jade and Author and a hunky Nave Seal .
I truly enjoyed reading Jade's story in finding-the perfect match, even though she wasn’t really looking for love. Aide is a Navy Seal out on leave, both of these were matched together on an island getaway sponsored by a company that paid for a vacation. Both appear wrong for each other, but decide on a truce to make it through the week. She will teach him how to write a book and he will teach her about his experience as Nave Seal. Will these two be destine for love and marriage or is the perfect match generator just so wrong. Rachael Ayala for another great read, once I started this book I couldn't put it down!
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
"A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it." - Jean de La Fontaine This quote is especially true for this book. Jade is jaded Aiden is married, to his career They aren't looking for love, but they find each other anyway.
Great Beach Read! Jade is a romance author who is rich, spoiled and doesn't believe in romance since dumping her no good fiance'. Aiden is a Navy SEAL just returning from a mission. When these two meet it is not the greatest love match. This story is short, fun, a little sexy and romantic and a great HEA to end with! I really enjoyed it!
I enjoyed this book so much. Two people not looking for love. She's been hurt and he's affaride he'll hurt someone. They both just looking for peace and quiet but find love in each other. Love the way Jade and Aiden were just perfect for each other. I was also happy her ex get what he deserved. Thanks Rachael Ayala for another great read.
Jade: I love the suspense and the romance of the story! Tropical Island and Seal always helps. I loved how it was written and caring that Rachelle Ayala out into her characters. I loved how the lead characters were both strong and set in there ways. It was a very special story and I loved it!
This was a cute story. I love stories that match two people who are strangers loved the characters two unlikely people who really did find out they shared more in common then they originally thought. Rachelle Ayala writes such great books. Read to find out if Jade finds her forever partner in Aiden or if they part ways.
UPDATE: Audio review. This book was good. (good enough I also listened to it...I am not one that rereads books too many times so if I do it's really good to me.) I do love Charley Ongel's narration. She is one of my favorite female narrators and does a great job on this book. She brings the characters to life. Jade: Perfect Match is a fun story. Jade is a wealthy Heiress and author. Her friend Dani won an all-expenses-paid trip on Perfect Match but she is engaged and talks Jade into going. The deal is she has to spend a week with a man chosen for her by Perfect match. She makes a profile she thinks no man will choose but when she gets there she finds herself paired off with a sex Navy Seal.
Aiden has no desire for romance but his mom has other plans setting him up with Perfect Match. He goes so he can meet up with his favorite author for an interview to be a coAuthor. A little fun with a pretty woman couldn't hurt either. They find they have to spend time together on film for an ad for Perfect Match. Jade is witty and snarky. She is a spoiled little rich girl. I loved the fact she is an author and not only a romance author but a mystery/suspense author. Aiden is a sexy Navy Seal and sexy. He is arrogant but has a good heart as well. I loved the storyline and the romance. If you are looking for a great summer read, this is a good one!
This delightful novella was impossible to put down. I started it late at night and finished it in one sitting. The original premise of finding true love through a dating service is twisted a bit by the fact that neither Jade, an author, nor Aiden, a Navy SEAL, have any interest in looking for a partner. Both entered the island giveaway for reasons other than romance.
Making life even more interesting is that Jade writes romance novels under her own name, but also writes thrillers under a male pseudonym. It turns out that Aiden reads some of her thrillers, but tells her that he considers them second-rate. Aiden has his own aspirations of becoming a writer.
It is fun watching the two of them break down the stereotype images they have of each other. They decide to play along with the getaway purpose when in public. Of course, this is a romance, so the reader knows that the fake relationship will somehow become very real.
Ms. Ayala does an excellent job of developing her lead characters. Since others mentioned in the story play a peripheral role, there is no need to know them as well. There are vivid location descriptions that make the reader feel as if she is there. The romance moves at a realistic pace for a novella and I loved seeing it unfold.
This book is a perfect match for someone looking for an engaging story, but without a lot of time to read.
Who said all thriller authors are male? Jade is a romance author, but she also pens action packed thrillers under a pseudonym. When burnt by her lover, she takes a chance with her friend to win a vacation with "her perfect match" to a tropical island to relax. While she wins, she isn't too excited with her match, the handsome navy seal, Aiden. They butt heads together from the very start and when the two call a truce and decide to make the best of their situation, it's evident there chemistry is strong. It is such pleasure to enjoy a book with such ease of flow of the story. Jade and Aiden are so typical of every day that it is easy to understand all their thoughts and issues, but still sit on the sideline and cheer for their success! I loved the two of them, from the fireman carry up the mountain to the helping plot Aiden's novel. Ayala shows us how sometimes fate brings together the perfect match!
Charley Ongel narrates this book with the same ease the story has. She smoothly flows through the many characters, each with their own voice and personality. I loved the performance!
I love the idea of perfect match, it's set the foundation for a great series. The lead characters in this book are not what I was expecting and yet the book and these characters work really well.
Jade is an odd but interesting character, she alternates between spoiled rich girl and normal adult with startling swiftness. She doesn't seem to consider that her actions can affect other people, but once she realizes she cares.
Aiden is headstrong, goes ahead and takes things on and then complains (mentally). He's an interesting combination of strong and vulnerable.
The two of them seem like they shouldn't work and yet...
The book made me laugh several times and I finished it with a smile.
The narration was excellent, great character voices and a strong emotive delivery.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.
Aiden and Jade are both stubborn, isolated and hopeful. The week long vacation they have unexpectedly won is suppose to bring them their "perfect match." From the start, these two strangers are resistant to romance, with each other, or any others. But as the story unfolds it becomes apparent that perhaps the Perfect Match is, well, perfect. But overcoming outside influences, personal issues and conflicts may be more than they are prepared to overcome. Well written and plotted, this book by Rachelle Ayala has created a sexy, self reliant Navy SEAL who is well matched with a confident, slightly damaged and spoiled, but smart romance/ thriller author in a setting perfectly matched for love.
This audio was a sweet story, at times funny, as well one filled with misunderstandings. Thus making it perfect for an afternoon of leisure. Jade Reed and Aiden Lin are the yin and yan in this story. He’s a Navy SEAL whose Chinese mother sends his name in to Perfect Match hoping to receive an invitation to a tropical island with his perfect match. Mom wants him to get married and have kids. Jade is a romance writer as well as a thriller author using a male pseudonym. Her best friend also manages to send her name to Perfect Match resulting in Jade and Aiden being paired together. Watching these two opposites interact was fun and delightful. Making it another entertaining story by this author.
Audiobook: I thought this story was entertaining. I thought the characters were sweet as the Navy Seal was concerned about his mother and the romance writer wanted her stories to be as real as possible. I liked the surprising twists and angst as each character recognized the feelings they felt for one another. I thought Charley Ongel's narration was delightful. I was gifted a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without any financial gain, to post a review which included my honest opinions.
I liked Aiden and Jade and enjoyed their adventures on the island. I also liked their exploration of what makes a good author. The book was more sensual and had more innuendo than I, personally, like in the sweet romance I read, though.
Jade. This was an exciting story to read! Maybe there is something to going on a vacation on an island. Aiden and Jade have to try and enjoy a paid vacation to an island for a week to promote a matchmaking website. Jade is an author working on her romance novel while Aiden is a Navy Seal but is working on a novel himself so he asks Jade for some pointers and they begin to develop a relationship. But can it last? *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***
