Wow. I really liked book 1 where I was introduced to Molly and the 2 different time travel groups that seem to be "fighting" each other and have radically different goals that book 1 only scratched the surface of and left me with questions. Book 2 opens up in Hollywood on an Earth close to us but not quite. It is a story told from Ellis's point of view as he learns his friends from college that he thought he has known for years are not quite who he thought they were. They have a secret named Jane. I received a free copy and my honest review is that once I started reading I was hooked. I never quite knew what was going to happen and when I finished book 2 I was not certain what was real and what was changed during a major reshuffling of everything. I love this series as I am never quite sure what happens next. I had some questions answered and some were not so I will have to read the next one to see what happens or not happens next. Loved the ending.

Book 2 of the saga is leaps and bound better than book 1. I would almost suggest that Book 1 should really be shortened and added to this book as a forward to the story. Book 2 really fleshes out these two characters and has real character development, as opposed to book 1 that main introduces the story and technology. I really enjoyed these characters so much more than the first book, and was glad to see that the protagonist is someone we had not met before. The only downside was that the story from the first book really does not progress that much, but hopefully we get more of that in the following stories.

3.5. I liked it a little less than the first because it took me a while to get used to the new characters and setting compared to the first. It felt a little more YA than the first. But then it all connected and it was fun again. The story is getting crazy! Can’t wait to see how it ends
