3.5*

Having enjoyed the previous two books Hooked and Payback I was looking forward to this one.

Now I have to say books like this where one party (usually the female) disappear only to return years later are not really my favourite. Simply because for me anyway the reason for the departure when it comes out is generally a disappointment and doesn’t warrant the result.
That’s not the case here.
I felt the reason considering the circumstances and her age fully justified the hasty departure. So if like me you’re stressing while reading don’t.

Now I liked both Ty and Jas and I really wanted things to work out between them.
So why only 3 - 3.5*?
In a word.
Sex.
There was just too much of it the balance of the book was out. Now it’s a hard call because sex is what brings them together, keeps them coming back for more and what really works between them. So yes there’s going to be a lot of it but for me there was too much.
From the reviews I’ve seen I’m in the minority and I am a fussy reader so it could just be me.

Burned is a second chance romance more than an alpha strong mc novel. The storyline was ok but not my favourite.

Jas and Ty dated when they were younger. They were both linked to the MC club and it was always a part of them. Now ten years later Jas has a life away from the club. She has a good job and Ty is a distant memory. Unfortunately, her mother has just passed and even though they weren't close Jas has returned to her childhood home to sort her assets. Jas and Ty always had a connection. The second she's back in town these two are in contact. It doesn't take long for things to heat up and they are back between the sheets. The past is full of secrets and these two just need to work it out.

3 stars out of 5. This was ok. I was expecting Ty to be more alpha. This book felt a little too straight into it. If you are a fan of second chance romances this will be for you. I would have preferred more sexual tension.

I've followed this series since the first book and I reallly liked the younger generation of Viking Bastards the CP has created. As biker romances go, this series is surprisingly safe and the guys always turn sweet and alpha for thier ladies without all that OW and OTT club drama. But knowing that, I was still a bit hesitant to read this one because what little we've gotten of Ty and his past with Jas, I knew it had the very big possibility that it would push some of my boundaries.

Well I wasn't wrong about that but I'm happy that I gave it chance because I fell in love with Ty and Jas' love story. Their journey was probably the darkest and most emotionally gripping story in this series, so far. Their shared history built a backdrop that rooted their connection on a deeper level and drew a more vivid picture of who they are.

I will confess that Ty started this off as a bit of a jerk. His protective mechanism when it comes to keeping his emotional distance from Jas is to blurt out the first thing that comes to mind. And that usually leads to him putting his foot in it.

Jas on the other hand is so weighed down with guilt over how things ended between them and the secrets she was still determined to keep from him that she let him off the hook a time or two, too easily IMO. On top of that, her complicated grief over her estranged mother's sudden passing had her in a really vulnerable position and that also played a part in it.

Luckily this phase was really short lived for both MCs. Watching Ty and Jas reconnect, even when they both fight their lingering (and fast growing) feelings for each was intense. Their chemistry was off the charts, their easy friendship, how they feel back into their old roles as friends and then lovers cemented just how special their bond was.

Jas was definitely a strong heroine who came back with some ghosts of her own that still had a strong grip on her. I definitely warmed up to her and felt for all the horrible things that she had to go through. I was rooting for her every step of the way and loved that Ty really came through for her. I'm an optimist but even I didn't see that ending coming!

There were so many emotions that rolled through me while reading Burned that I'm feeling a bit hung over here. It had some great moments of tenderness, heat, and a little humor but it was a lot more direct and emotionally heavy then the others books. That surprising ending clinched this one for me and the epilogue was the best kind of epilogue.

Memorable Moments:
When Ty confronts his family about the past. His zero hesitation to side with his girl. That was his Knight in Shining Armor moment. I loved that he finally put into actions his feelings for Jas and let everyone know where Jas stands in his life. She came before his club, his brothers and even his disapproving family.

Would I recommend?
If you want a safe biker romance, any of the Viking Bastard books will do and they can be read as stand alones in case you want to just jump in. I really enjoy them so definitely yes, I'd recommend.

Wow! I really, really enjoyed the heck out of this book!

Jasmine left L.A. ten years ago and has now returned due to her mother’s death. When she runs into Ty her heart yearns to reach out to him but it’s obvious that he’s still carrying anger over their past. Both of them recognize that they need closure and after an intense, sexy night, they agree to continue their one night stand on through the week until Jas has to leave again.

Ty never fully understood how Jas was able to walk away from what they had. He understood the premise of it, and the reason she gave, but there was always something that niggled at the back of his mind. Hurt and anger obliterated those thoughts until pieces of the puzzle begin to fall back into place with her return.

I totally got why Ty felt the way he did. Thinking their love was a forever kind of thing, he was heartbroken when Jas left. With her in his life again, even temporarily, he’s struggling to remember the past and that what he’s feeling now may not be what she’s feeling. Jas was completely broken when she left and there’s so many layers as to why she made the decision she did.

This is a well-paced read, very well written, and sprinkled with a bit of angst but not the kind to knock you on your bottom. The MC lifestyle isn’t predominate but plays as a backdrop well out of sight. It was a very enjoyable read with plenty of steam and a hero that you will love to watch rise up from his past to secure the girl of his future.

I loved the two previous Viking MC books, wildly good and this one. Just really fell short for me.
The plot was good, although obvious is takes place some years after the last book, but that's not a problem. For me it was the two MC's, Ty and Jasmine.
Jasmine fled California with her young life wanting nothing to do with The Vikings, or anyone associated with them. She moved to Florida with her Dad. Her mother still stripping and still an outsider to the club and the two had little contact over the 10 years. Jasmine is back after receiving word her Mother has passed away. She's there to clean out the apartment. This rundown apartment was her life until she left, leaving Ty behind. Ty and Jas were in love form a young age. It sounds silly if you think about it but in the more serious moments in the book and Ty wasn't running as mouth, you got it. From Jas too. The argument was always she was too young, truth was his family and the club said without words she didn't fit into their lifestyle. She wasn't club material. Even her slutty mother wasn't. When Jas runs into Ty outside the last place her mom worked before she died, he's a real a0hole to her, all swagger and mouth and damn he was disappointing. He also happens to own the club her mom was working at, she needed a job and he gave her a cleaning job. She was Jas's mom. He couldn't turn her away.
So he's now VP of the Viking's, his friends are all Vikings and he and Jas have come to a semi-truce. Jas wants closure and one night of no strings sex, he wants the same. Closure for these two mean totally different things. So one night turns into a week, he helps her box up her mothers stuff. Old feelings surface. Neither of them can go there. Jasmine's bad memories surface with frequency and she just wants to go back home. She has a life there, now an attorney who works pro bono for domestic violence, rape and etc. Ty is a little surprised when he finds out what she does for a living. Which he doesn't bother asking her until 75%.
This book was mostly Ty running his mouth either aloud or in his head. He's all over the place with Jasmine, the basic foundation for her leaving was there, but wasn't complete enough. Jasmine is a way was just an accoutrement to the story. The secondaries are limp and their women even more so.
I was really looking forward to this one because I love the series and love Christina's books, but sad to say it didn't measure up to the two previous books. If you haven't read them, read them. You'll love them.
Moving along. Looking forward to the next book,

This one is so good a second chance romance with a lot of hurt and pain in the past that was never spoken about but, ten years on both Ty and Jas have grown up Ty is now VP of The Bastards and Jas in an attorney fighting for the underdog in Florida, put them in the same room again and that passion and sizzle has never gone away but can they overcome the past for a future together this time round?

Jasmine O’Brien has returned to LA after the death of her mother she ran ten years before a scarred and hurt seventeen year old determined to leave the Bastards behind and become stronger and that is what she has done only running into Ty has her emotions running riot she needs to get him out of her system once and for all and one night or one week while she is in LA should do it or maybe not.

Tyson Jenson had given Jas everything back then and she up and left and he never really knew why as a member of the Bastards he got on with his life firm in the knowledge that he would never let another woman get to him the way Jas had and that was so true, but Jas is back now and she is still playing with his head and soul and when they decide that a week together is what they need the sex is amazing but he is losing himself to her again or did he ever get over her in the first place. Nonetheless he feels that Jas is keeping something from him something that he really should know.

I fell into this book, I fell for Ty from the start what a hero and Jas has come such a long way since she was seventeen and what she went through the strength that she shows is amazing, I loved seeing them open up to each other and let their passions and emotions out and when the truth does come out Ty is amazing and Jas is just beautiful with her caring and understanding. MS Phillips has bought these two to life on the pages and swept me into a gorgeous romance that left me feeling very happy indeed. This is one that I highly recommend a sizzling sexy romance that is very moving, one that is sure to keep you turning the pages.

Burned was enjoyable, hot and also frustrating. I don't want to spoil it for other readers by listing what I found frustrating but I wish it hadn't been so drawn out.

I loved this biker romance full of second chances, regrets and a lot of hot sex. Ty is the VP of the Viking Bastards MC and lives every bit of the biker life. His once love Jas, has returned to bury her mother so now she and Ty have a chance to settle the past. Ty had no idea at all what sent Jas running to live with her father in Florida all those years ago. Was it because of something they lost or will Ty find out it was something much darker than he could even fathom? I loved this just as much as the first two books in this series.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley for a freely given and honest review.

3 1/2 Stars. Ok read. Not much MC action.

I have to say though Ty did something I have always wanted the hero to do when the MC they belong to does something so grievous against him. I really wanted that to happen in the last MC book I read and it didn’t happen. That alone boosted my rating of the book. Jas sticks to her guns and even after several great lays she still keeps her head on her shoulders and doesn’t cave to Ty. Now that never happens in a MC book. Usually the heroine gets sex and she forgets everything. Again another boost for the rating.

There is a ton of sex so be prepared. I love how the characters can’t talk about the past, but they sure can get it on.

Decent read. Received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

Eh the book was just okay for me. Very predictable; you could almost immediately figure out why Jasmine left and never wanted to return. I liked the ending though, I thought it was an interesting change compared to some other books I've read.

The book didn't have much of a plot to me, other than Ty figuring out why Jasmine left, most of the book was focused on what Ty said or didn't say that Jasmine took wrong. Or discovering what both characters were doing over the last 10 years, although this part doesn't really focus on important items (they don't determine what the other does for a living until near the end of the book for example).

This story. I was not prepared for the emotions this romance wrought from me. Ty's been content for years after the love of his life walked away. He put all he had into the club and eventually became the VP of the Bastards. He thought life was good; until Jasmine walks back in to town in a whirlwind. What are the odds that she runs into him within hours of being back? Jasmine knows why she had to walk away when she was a teenager, but seeing Ty is breaking her heart all over again. Even with the pain they've been through, one night is all they're willing to give to settle old flames.

Phillips does a wonderful job truly disguising the past from readers. Jasmine couldn't take the pain of her youth when she was with Ty. His family ridiculed her and her mother and sometimes a final straw is all it takes to change the course of someone's life. Ty was much sweeter than I anticipated. Don't get it wrong, he's dirty, filthy fun too. But the man has a heart when it comes to the right moments. This romance is fully packed with heavy moments on top of perfectly weaved misconceptions of the past. I couldn't put it down and had to now the truth about Jasmine and Ty. In the end, Phillips had me crying for all that Jasmine and Ty had lost and at the bright hope of a future they could have. You'll definitely want to add this spectacular 5 star read to your list!

In keeping with my uncanny ability to pick up and read the last novel in a series first, Burned is the third novel in Christina Phillips' Viking Bastards MC series, but the first novel of hers that I've read, and while I was expecting the standard, gritty, MC series, what I wasn't expecting was one with virtually no grit, hardly any swearing, no graphic violence, and instead of the aforementioned, I discovered a very good second chance at love romance, and it's gets 4 stars from this reader.

Jasmine (Jas) met 17-year-old Ty Jenson when she was 14 years old. He's the son of the President of the Viking Bastards Motorcycle Club in L.A. and she's the daughter of a stripper, and Ty's mother never missed a chance to throw her mother's profession in her face, just as the kids in her school did. For Ty and Jas, it was teenage love and lust, and when Jas becomes pregnant, the two young lovers aren't really ready for it, but plan to try, that is until one night when Jasmine has a miscarriage, and there's a whole lot more to how that happened, but sorry, I don't do spoilers. Shortly thereafter, Jas leaves L.A. for Florida, where her father, who'd left her mother years before, now lives with his new wife. Ty had been planning to spend his life with Jasmine and her abrupt departure left no room for closure, or even an explanation, and tore him up emotionally. It had the same effect on Jasmine, but as there's been no contact between them in a decade, he doesn't know that, and she doesn't either.

Ten years later, Jasmine is back in L.A., having received word that her mother had died, and needing to go back to settle her mother's affairs. She's not back for long when she bumps into Ty, and because this novel is told in alternating narration, we soon learn that these two are still attracted to one another, certainly still have mad chemistry, and both need time to do what was impossible 10 years earlier, part on good terms. Jasmine's life is now in Florida, where she works as a civil rights attorney. Ty is now VP of the Viking Bastards MC, and also runs a club called The Hammer, where Jasmine's mother worked until her untimely death.

Ty never truly understood Jasmine's abrupt departure after her miscarriage, and was deeply hurt by it. He did know that his parents didn't like their relationship, and since Jasmine's mother used to hang around the MC and was pretty loose with her favors, they felt that Jasmine was trash too. Now that Jasmine is back, at least for the two weeks that it will take to settle her mother's affairs, she and Ty agree to get each other out of their respective systems by having what starts out as a one-night sex fling, but one night wasn't enough for either of them, and as the time passes, they rediscover that what they felt for each other 10 years earlier is still true today. But after rediscovering their feelings for one another, Ty still doesn't understand why Jasmine left him so quickly, and the last thing Jasmine wants to do it tell him, and what will he do when he finds out?

Although I wasn't expecting to find a really sweet second chance at love novel inside what I expected would be raw, down and dirty MC fiction, I wasn't disappointed at all, and I truly liked the two main characters and the way they were portrayed, so much so that and I read this novel in one sitting. It was well-written, well paced, and now I'm going to have to backtrack to read the first two novels in this series.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.

First of all I’ve loved the covers for this series, and Burned is no exception, it’s a little more somber than the last two, certainly not sexual. But come on, you have to admit the models are darn “HOT”.

Right the story. A great second chance romance, and it was hot!
The main characters Ty and Jas were young lovers tragedy strikes and they get separated. Jas leaves town and they are apart for ten years. and only the death of her mother brings her back to town.
Ty demands answers from Jas, but she has secrets she wishes to keep, she’s stronger now and wishes to spend her short visit with Ty.

Jas’ experience strengthened her in many ways or she wouldn’t have retured. Ty was a good guy, she should have trusted him in the beginning.
A great series, looking forward to more from the Viking Bastards MC

Ty has a feisty one on his hands, "in retaliation, I loosen his belt and yank down his zipper. His grunt is a heady mix of pain and lust. “Mind the goods, babe.” Ty sometimes has to lay ground rules for his wkman, “I’ve had a hard-on all effing night. Don’t push your luck if you want to finish eating.” I really liked this book, I loved Ty the man only had eyes for Jas.

Burned by Christina Phillips is the third story in her Viking Bastards MC series, a second chance romance set in the gritty world of motorcycle clubs and all that entails.

Jas left her life in the thick of the motorcycle club life as the 17 year old girlfriend to Ty, the son of the Viking Bastard’s president, when she endured an assault that she kept hidden. Leaving her mother, she’d moved away and moved in with her father and step-mother who helped put her through school to get her law degree. The death of her mother has brought her back to L.A. to sort through her things and give her a proper funeral. It’s also brought her back into Ty’s orbit.

Ty never knew why Jas left him so abruptly. He knew his family didn’t approve of her, or her mother, a stripper who hung around the club, but he cared for her very deeply and was hurt when she left. Seeing her again brings back lots of memories, good and bad. It also brings their attraction back in full force. Jas will only be around for a few weeks as she settles her mother’s affairs. A sex only fling seems like a good way to put their memories to rest, but will it lead them to wanting more once again?

I read and enjoyed the previous romances in this series and this one is also a very good read. Jas always believed Ty would put the club and his family ahead of her and had to make some quick decisions for her mental and physical health. They were the right ones for her at the time, enabling her to have a more stable home life and get a decent education and a good paying job. Being back in L.A. is difficult for her, especially when she discovers how bad the situation had been for her mother in the past few years. She finds out that Ty employed her mom out of loyalty to Jas for which she at first is dismayed (not knowing what kind of job she’d had) then grateful (when she finds out the truth).

The chemistry between Jas and Ty is pretty hot and their sex scenes are equally so. It also brings back their emotional bond. Jas isn’t sure how or if she should tell Ty what really happened to make her leave though he suspects he’s missing parts of the puzzle. Jas has no plans to stay in L.A. with a permanent home and job elsewhere and even though her feelings for Ty are strong, she will not be a part of his life while he is in the local Vikings Bastards club, nor will she make him choose between her and them. There are some emotional scenes as things play out, but in the end Ty and Jas make the choices that lead to their happy ending. It’s an intense, steamy read.

•••••••••

REVIEW: 3.75 stars--BURNED is the third instalment in Christina Phillips’ contemporary, adult VIKING BASTARDS erotic, MC, romance story line. This is attorney Jasmine ‘Jas’ O’Brien, and Viking Bastards’ MC vice president Tyler ‘Ty’ Jenson’s story line. BURNED can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Ty and Jas) BURNED follows the rekindling romance between twenty-seven year old Florida attorney Jasmine ‘Jas’ O’Brien, and thirty-year old Viking Bastards MC vice president Tyler ‘Ty’ Jenson. Ten years earlier, a then seventeen year-old Jasmine O’Brien disappeared without a trace, leaving a heart broken and reeling Tyler Jenson in her wake. Fast forward to present day, wherein a more hardened and mature Jasmine O’Brien returns to LA to bury her mother, a woman she hasn’t seen in close to ten years. Rekindling her relationship with the only man she has ever loved was never in the plans, but plans are meant to be broken. What ensues is the rekindling relationship and romance between Ty and Jas, and the potential fallout as Jas prepares to return to Florida; and Ty discovers the truth about Jas’s disappearance, years before.

Jasmine O’Brien’s return to LA came with too many memories of the past for both of our leading characters. Tyler Jenson struggled to forget the woman he would always love but ten years without Jas meant their second chance relationship came with unresolved anger and emotional issues. Jasmine hated the secrets that led to her escape ten years earlier, secrets that would have destroyed Ty, and the ‘family’ he loved.

The relationship between Ty and Jas is one of second chances; a rekindling between two people torn apart by demons of the past, a past mired in secrets, betrayal, loss and pain. The $ex scenes are numerous, intense, erotic and aggressive- the unrestrained and angry sexual situations are countered by the knowledge that ten years of unanswered questions had yet to be resolved.

We are reintroduced to several members of the Viking Bastards MC including Zach and Grace (Hooked # 1), and Gage and Amelia (Payback #2), as well as Ty’s parents Angie and Jett Jenson.

BURNED is a story of loss, deception, secrets and heartbreak. The world building follows the rekindling relationship and the ever-present sexual tension between our leading couple, as the MC took a backseat to the second chance romance. The premise is dramatic; the romance is dark, edgy and intense; the characters are broken and energetic. BURNED is a dramatic and intense look at two people who have struggled to remove on from the past.

3.5 - 4 stars. Would have rated more if the beginning was better, sorry Christina 😗

This is my first read by this author and I would definitely read more if her stories were written like the second half of this book. I understand this was an arc copy and my rating had nothing to do with the grammar/typos but more so the execution, I almost feel like two different people wrote this...?

Initially I was ready to give up on this book going by the first so many chapters, but as it went on the characters started developing more realness to them with both their actions and emotions, and not so much cheese! There were a few bits at the start i had to re-read so i could make sense of the story and a couple of scenarios that annoyed me e.g. pot plant/condom - why would he do that? Ty being disrespectful in such a way didnt add anything valuable and really if anything it just cheapened his character?
In the end though i was actually surprised how much I ended up enjoying this story! I wish the ending wasnt so rushed with unfinished details and I'm hoping the author gives us a follow-up to this couple?

The chemistry between Ty and Jas was definitely smoking hot and the sex wasn't bad either, but what i loved most was their back-and-forth banter only Jas could get away with and the reliving of things they would do together when young. Her sassy mouth actually suited her and although Ty tried to put on the bad boy act, he wasnt fooling anyone! The author did a good job mixing both, chemistry and romance.

I found both Ty and Jas likable characters even if initially Ty was a bit of a dick! Jas was strong and smart and unlike most of the heroines in these romances she stuck to her guns! Ty definitely redeemed himself and by the end i fell for his dirty mouth and big heart.

This story actually had a few moments that grabbed at my heartstrings, I love it when an author can make me feel the emotions of the characters and connect with their readers on a deeper level, great job Christina! The author included enough background information that you can read this without needing to have read anything previous. I think if the author could tweak the beginning and end of this story she would have a 5 star winner!

Ty can't believe that the woman he once loved is back in his life, even though Jas is only in town for a week. Determined to finally be able to move on, she gives Ty a week of memories and the chance to heal. But when the week is over, will they go their separate ways or will Ty be able to convince Jas to give him a second chance, especially when he discovers the truth of why she left years ago?

This is the first book I've read of this series and I've got to say that I really enjoyed from the start, as it isn't easy for Jas to be back. However, the moment the hero and heroine come face-to-face for the first time is what drew me into this story completely, as there's still plenty of chemistry between Jas. Yet, the heroine has a dark secret she'll do anything to protect. Will she be able to keep the truth from Ty? What happens if the truth comes out? Will Ty be able to handle it?

As for the dialogue, it was intense due to the main characters back stories, as the heroine has been through so much because of what the hero's family put her through. However, in saying that, she's risen above what happened to her to be the strong, independent woman she is. She's also quite talented and has come so far in making something of herself when it comes to her career. Yet, what I liked most of all about the heroine is that she gave the hero a chance because they need each other to heal from their fractured past. While the hero, he's confident and really made something of himself because of all he's accomplished, but what I liked most of all about Ty is that he proved to the heroine that she'll always come first in his life.

Overall, Ms. Phillips has delivered a really good read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was intense; the romance steamy; and the ending had me sympathizing with the heroine because of what she's been through in the past, but had me loving that the hero was willing to fight to their second chance together. No longer was he willing to let his family come between them, especially not after the shocking secret he discovers and then with the surprise the heroine has for him. I would recommend Burned by Christina Phillips, if you enjoy the second chance romance trope or books by authors Laura Kaye, Anne Marsh, Lila Rose and Jeanne St James.

Sizzling second-chance MC Romance – 4.5 stars
Burned is a moving second-chance romance from Christina Phillips that positively sizzles. The book is the third in the author’s Viking Bastards MC series and although it features characters from the earlier novels, it works perfectly well as a standalone as the focus is very much on the hero and heroine, Ty and Jas.
Jas, who left L.A. 10 years ago is now back to attend her estranged mother’s funeral and wrap up her affairs before returning to the new life and career she has forged elsewhere. She is not keen to be reminded of her past and Ty, the man she left behind. Yet fate has other ideas and their paths cross almost as soon as she arrives.
Both Ty and Jas appear to be doing very well without each other – Jas is a successful career woman and Ty, well he is the V.P. of his beloved Viking Bastards and certainly has no shortage of women keen to satisfy him. Yet Ty is still drawn to Jas and they agree to spend the night together to finally give each other closure. One encounter is not enough – the heart wants what the heart wants, and without giving away any spoilers emotions get very complicated… The read contains some smoking hot and emotional scenes as Ty and Jas come together again and again, each fighting their attraction to one another.
I felt for Ty early on in the book, as it was clear that he had never come to terms with Jas’s hasty departure – his man-whore existence and mouthy attitude masking his feelings. I was also shocked as Jas’s true reasons for leaving are revealed. Both will have to re-evaluate and learn from the secrets and misconceptions of the past if they are to have a chance of a HEA. Will the couple be able to move forward once the truth reveals itself or does distance and the intervening years mean it too late?
Recommended for readers of second-chance romances who enjoy a steamy read featuring a strong and vulnerable female lead and an alpha male. Please note, an ARC of this book was given to me by the author for a fair and honest review.

4 1/2 STARS!

An emotionally raw explosion of passion! With the third book in her MC series, Christina Phillips does not disappoint when she brings us Ty's story! It's a reunion neither expected, but the second they lay eyes on each other, it's like no time has passed. They still ache with desire for only the person in front of them even though their relationship had a toxic ending. This entire series, while a milder version of a motorcycle club, has introduced us to powerful, dominant men who know what they want when they see it and let nothing get in their way ... and watching them fall for the one woman they can't turn away from has been pretty magical! Really enjoyed Jas & Ty's story!

Years ago, teenage Tyson Jenson offered his girlfriend Jasmine O'Brien the world, and thought she was in it for the long haul with him ... until suddenly she blindsided him with the news that she was leaving. Now VP of his motorcycle club, Ty lives life hard and has no other use for a woman than to warm his bed for one night and then be on their way while the next one lines up! He doesn't need the pain of falling for someone to just have them rip his heart out like Jas did.

Jasmine O'Brien finds herself back in town for one week ... back to the memories of the love she shared with Ty. Running into him shouldn't affect her after all of these years, but it's impossible not to feel the connection between them the second their eyes meet again. She knows he hates her for leaving, and she has unresolved feelings about it all too ... so she offers up a one more go-round goodbye to get each other out of their systems once and for all. Only neither can walk away after only one night, so they agree to the week ... but secrets have a magically way of becoming unraveled and when Ty learns the true reason she left, the world as he knew it will never be the same again!

**Received ARC from NetGalley for a fair and honest review**
Burned is the 3rd book in the Vikings Bastards MC series. This book can be read as a standalone, but I'm of the opinion you don't get as much out of it when you don't know the other characters. That's just my opinion though. I really enjoyed this book. It is my favorite hands down of the three books. I really enjoyed Ty and Jas, at the beginning I was a little hesitant about my opinion on Jas, but as the story went on I feel like I understood why the author wrote the story the way she did. I know that's vague, but I would be giving spoilers away if I said more. I did have one issue with the book, , in order not to give anything away I will unfortunately have to be vague again. Jas went through some stuff when she was 17, because of it she up and left her home with her mom in LA to go live with her dad in Florida. She never got over Ty so she never really dated or anything, then goes back to LA because her mom dies and things go back to how they were almost as if no time has passed and nothing happened. I understand she gets therapy, but the way it unfolds leaves questions in my mind about would someone that went through some stuff behave like that... Ok.... so that aside, I really enjoyed the story, and had a hard time putting it down. Was a fast enjoyable read. Great chemistry between the characters, lots of good emotional strife in the book. Enjoyed the character development. All in all I really enjoyed and can't wait for the next book in the series. Great book. Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!

**I received a copy of Burned from Net Galley in exchange for a honest and voluntary review**

Burned by Christina Phillips is the third book in her Viking Bastards MC series. I have to say this was a great second chance at love for both Ty and Jas and I really enjoyed it. Well worth all 5 stars I've given it.

Ty Jenson loved Jasmine O'Brien since they were teenagers but when Jas decided to leave LA and go live with her father in Florida he didn't know if he could survive the loss of the only girl he's ever loved. There is a back story that will finally understand why everything happened and why she's back in town to settle her late mother's estate. But Ty is now VP of the MC and a successful owner of the Hammer club and can have any girl he wants, his heart has always belonged to Jas. But can they only be together for a week? Will they be able to part without broken hearts?

Jasmine O'Brien has returned to LA just for a week to settle her mother's estate and she must return back to Florida to her job as a Civil Rights Lawyer. But when she finds a pay stub from Hammer she goes to the club to find out what he mom was working as. She meets Ty again and its fireworks again like when they were teens. But even though the sex is good can they get beyond their past especially why she left and make a new life together again? Can Ty once he learns Jas's secret be able to forgive his mother and brother?

For a second chance at love this was a fantastic one and hopefully there will be a few more in Ms. Phillips Viking Bastards MC series in the future. But I truly love and enjoyed Jas and Ty's second chance for love and a family together.

Burned by Christina Phillips, is a scorcher of a romance, with two main characters that I instantly fell in love with. Attorney Jasmine O'Brien and business owner Tyson Jenson, were in lust in love during high school, and now ten years later, they have a second chance at forever.

Jasmine's childhood was not typical. Her mother was a stripper and worked for the Viking Bastards Motorcycle Club in Los Angeles. The club solved situations with violence and her mother did more than strip. Needless to say, Jasmine was tormented in school and the club's management looked down on her. Ty, the son of the president of the MC, was the exception to the rule, and he treated Jasmine like gold. High school brought them together and they were in love. Then a horrible incident occurred which caused Jasmine to move in with her father in Florida. Now Jasmine is back home, sorting out her late mother's affairs. She runs into Ty, and her whole world changes. Ty's business is legitimate, even though he is still associated with the MC. Once the secrets of the past come to fruition, Jasmine and Ty can finally have their happily ever after.

I really liked this book. Ms. Phillips is a passionate writer and as a result, her characters are compelling and full of intensity. This is a well-conceived story that I would have loved, if only there was a little less sex. Although I have to mention that the sex scenes were very hot. If you are in the mood for a second chance romance with a ton of heat and a captivating plot, pick up a copy of Burned.

Wow ! What an amazing discovery this book was for me. Burned is the third book in the Viking Bastards series, and a pleasant surprise for me as it's the first book I've read from Christina Phillips. I was captivated by Ty and Jas and hung on every word of their journey.

This was a great second chance at love story. I absolutely adored the main characters. Ty and Jas started out as two young kids in love but then tragedy tore them apart and Jas left town and a very bitter Ty behind. He demands answers when Jas returns ten years later to bury her mother. But Jas has a few secrets that he never knew about. In a way this very well written romance painted a bittersweet story. I was surprised as the author slowly revealed her secrets and got to me emotionally reading about all Jas had been through. Ty was a super awesome hero in the end. I loved what he did for Jas and what she did for him, as well.

This book was very character driven to me. I loved how vibrant Ty and Jas were, and can't wait to read the previous two books that I missed in the series. To me this book was amazing. I hope Christina Phillips will continue the series with Hawke or Cade soon.

I am voluntarily reviewing a complimentary Netgalley copy of this book.

Jasmine (Jas) is back in LA after she left 10 years ago, this is to sort out her mom's affairs after her mom's passing. This is also where she left Tyson (Ty) who was her whole world at one time. He's the president's son from the Vikings Bastards MC and he's their VP.

When they see each other for the first time after so long they felt like strangers towards each other. So much time has past and Ty is struggling with the reason why she left he just could not figure it out. He thought if was because of a tragic loss they both suffered but that was not the main reason. This was not your average MC Romance with a lot of action and the MC business, no this book concentrate solely on the H and h which was different but good for me.

Anyway ......... While she was sorting out all her mom's things she and Ty decided to work on a closure before the had to go back to Florida to her current life as an Attorney.
OH BOY and did they work on that closure.

I was really shocked when I found out what happened to Jas to make her leave and let me tell you it was really bad and I first thought what could be so bad but then "that" happened and I understood.

The question now is ........ What will Ty do when he finds out?
Sorry but here is where I am going to stop. You just have to read this book to find out.

This was a very short read, I normally do not do short reads but this was worth it.

Happy reading

This is the 3rd book in the Viking Bastards MC. It’s the first book of this author that I have read. It’s not going to be the last book, though. I really enjoyed reading this book and the author told a great story. Jas and Ty were young lovers when she suddenly left without notice or explanation. Ty was heart broken and soon became hardened to love. He never wanted anything to do with it. Jas ended up coming back to town when her mother passed away. This starts the tale of whether true love can withstand all pain. It was heartbreaking to feel the emotions that came from both of them but when it was all put out there, it was even worse. You will love the story but grab the box of Kleenex because it will be needed. It was so emotional from the very beginning of the book. By the time you got to the end, you really wanted to hurt the people that were supposed to be there to help and support Ty and Jas. I’m going back to grab the first two books in the series, now. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Burned is not your typical MC book. The Bastards were once not a great place but now the younger generation is changing it up a bit. However its VP isn't what you would expect. Ty loved and loved hard to only lose his one and only. 10 years have passed and Jas is outside his club. He can't just let her walk away.

Jas was in love with Ty as a young girl. Bad things happen and just because you meet your soul mate doesn't mean you are ready at that point in your life for happily ever after. Or events happen to make it impossible.

These two promise a week to make up how things ended but when truths come out and those old feelings evolve into more how will they handle their goodbye this time.

It was good and I enjoyed it a lot. Both characters were likeable and the book kept me interested.

Rcvd and ARC at no cost to author.(netgalley) This is the third book in the series and I loved it. I have to say that I was not even thinking of Ty as getting his own book, but boy I am glad he did. I honestly thought that out of this series that I loved Gage, and don't get me wrong I still do, however I was shocked by how I much I ended up liking Ty. Normally I dislike any person who uses sex with meaningless hook-ups to get over someone, and not that I condone that behavior but I actually felt for Ty and understood him (shocking right?) Anyhoo loved and his love interest Jas, and I am pretty sure you will to. Christine broke our hearts and then mended them, I truly can't wait til the next one.. Enjoy!

I really enjoy this series. And this one was another one right up there for a biker romance for me.

Jas and Ty dated when they were young. Both of them had ties to the MC Club. But then Jas just left to live with her father and Ty has no idea why. Ten Years later she is back to bury her mother. And maybe now is the time to get closer and find out why she ran? Was it him or was it something completely different. Will Ty finally get the answers he wants or will it be too late for them?

I love second chance romances and this was another one that I enjoyed. This author always surprises me with her books. Heartbreak, love, and angst will have you hoping that its not to late for Ty and Jas to get their happily ever after
