Love Jace but hate Bayleigh

Bayleigh ruined this book for me. Her character was awful and annoying. I actually didn’t even finish reading this because I couldn’t stand her. She’s so freaking negative and unhappy and she has zero self confidence. Jace seems like five to ten years older then her. She constantly turns everything about Jace into something negative that bothers her to no end. Even simple stupid things like him not eating pizza for dinner. She’s obnoxious. I was really hoping for more from this book. I love Jett’s series. But now I’m not sure if I want to waste my money on Park and Becca’s story.

I love Amy Sparling BUT this is far from her best work

Amy Sparling has captured my attention from the first paragraph of hers I had read. Over the last year I have read everything and anything she has written and because of that it makes me sad to say how much I disliked this series. To begin with I could handle Bayleigh and Jace but as the books continued I feel like the characters never grew. Toward the end Bayleigh almost seemed like an adult, but still wasn't likeable. Jake had no real depth. He was a side character to support Bayleigh's story even when he was the narrator. I finished the series, but only because I forced myself to. There were many many grammatical and timeline problems (on one page the girls are sitting on the bleachers at the end of September and on the next page they are excited for August to come around) and those kinds of errors a story hard to read for me. I will continue to read Amy Sparling's work, but I wouldn't recommend this series to friends.

Overall I enjoyed this series. I found a lot of grammatical errors and several timeline errors, which were a little annoying but did not deter me from finishing the books.
