It's Not That Hard To is a collection of personal essays detailing one woman's hilarious and heartbreaking journey from her childhood in the hills of eastern Oklahoma to the plains of Africa.
Faith is a wonderful writer - talented, clever, concise and passionate in her words. But that's hardly what makes reading her work such a pleasure. Her art truly comes in the life that she lives and generously shares with her readers. Her search for meaning, her openness to experience and exploration (through the world or into herself), her courage to accept and find beauty in the things that move through her universe - THIS is what makes her writing phenomenal.
I'm not sure if this makes me more a fan of her or her work, but I'll keep reading either way.
