"Jaxson; The Assignment" is Miranda Charles second book in her indie rebels series.If you love, intrigue, mystery and a sexy sweet romance then this book fits the bill.
Jaxson Caine successfull business man and indie rebel agent in training receives his new assignment from the rebels he needs to complete to become a full fledge rebel; that assignment , protect singer Holly Sterling from possible kidnapping in light of another performer recently being kidnapped and held for ransom. Should be an easy assignment, he knows Holly, through his best friend and trainer Xavier who is also part of the indie rebels . However an easy assignment it will not be. Jaxson and Holly share. Mutual attraction for one another , one that Jaxson keeps avoiding. Jaxson really does not want to avoid a relationship with Holly, however he has issues with his family that the Indie Rebels are helping him with, issues that he does not want Holly exposed or drawn into.
To be able to be close to Holly and protect her though, he embraces a relationship with the intention of letting her go once she is safe, so she asks holly to keep the relationship secret from her brother Xavier; jaxson's best freind, giving her the excuse that he does not want to be in the public eye, he wants to stay away from the paparazzi that follow her.
To add more intrigue, suddenly jaxsons brother Bryce who he hs not seen in years is Holly's new body guard but he is using a different list name..
Can Jaxson trust Bryce, is he really here to protect her or is he working with the kidnapping ring?

Oh how I love Miranda’s books!!! These Indie Rebel men are hot and sexy! Jaxon's assignment is his best friends sister. Holly Stirling, Xavier’s sister is a singer who they fear may be kidnapped like others. Soon things become complicated when the brother Jaxon hasn’t seen in years is Holly’s bodyguard. Between his brother’s criminal involvement, the feelings he fighting for Holly and trying to be an IR - Jaxon life is crazy. Loyalties are tested while the suspense, secrets, danger along with romance had me turning pages. Jaxon's story pulled me in and I couldn't get enough. I’m loving this series!!!

This is another exciting book with the Indie Rebels (IR). Jaxon Caine who is best friends with Xavier who is also a IR doesn’t want to be with any woman unless she is an IR so he doesn’t have to keep secrets from her. Xavier’s sister Holly Stirling is a national singer who has always had a crush on Jaxon and has tried to let him know she is interested, but he won’t go there because she is not an IR. Unfortunately someone is kidnapping female singers in Australia for ransom and they fear Holly is next. Jaxon agrees to watch over her, and let her stay in his house where they become close. Holly also hires a bodyguard who happens to be Jaxon’s brother he hasn’t seen in ten years and has changed his last name. The IR’s are suspicious of him.
The book is very exciting and at times you are not sure who is helping Holly and who wants to harm her. Jaxon and Bryce, Jaxon’s brother, had some terrible things happen to them through their step father in the past. Jaxon does not want any of that public and Holly is always in the public eye. Jaxon Caine is between a rock and a hard place, he must decide who to save; the love of his life or his brother Bryce who is involved with a criminal syndicate. In the beginning, Jaxon does not what to allow Holly Stirling into his world because he doesn't want her to get hurt but when it finds out that his Bryce is none other than her bodyguard he has no choice. As a member of Indie Rebels (a covert crime-fighting organization), he is assigned to investigate his brother's questionable undertakings. Holly has a successful career but her love life is the pits. All of her love interests have fallen apart. Even Jaxon had pushed her away. Yet now he seems to have changed his mind, he even shows signs of being jealous of her new bodyguard. Maybe just maybe Jaxon is finally interested in her after all. As Jaxon and Holly grow closer and the danger increases what choice will Jaxon make, his love for Holly or his obligation to his assignment. Ms. Charles has written a very intriguing romantic suspense novel that is a real joy to read.

Although I haven't read the first book in the Indie Rebels series, I was able to easily pick up on what was going on in Jaxon. I liked Jaxon and Holly together, they're both likable, engaging characters. Add in the suspense and the mystery, and I ended up really getting into this story. I can't wait to read Bryce's story next, (Bryce: The Project.)

He is rather fussy though, he wants his next girlfriend to be an IR agent so he can share all parts of his life with her. No secrets. He is in it for the long haul, and with his past he need someone special.
Holly is a superstar. She loves her life, and also wants a boyfriend. Being a superstar comes with disadvantages. Someone is watching her every move. Fans and photographers alike camp outside her home, just to get a glimps. Even the bad guys want something from her. The problem is, they are not sure who the bad guys are.
Needless to say, Jaxon and Holly enter into a very steamy romance.
There is a theme of loyalty and strong family connections in this story. Even when someone does something bad, it is always to protect someone else.
I am really enjoying reading about this Indie Rebels group, and I love how it ties into previous stories I have read from this author.

Jaxon: The Assignment is book 2 of the Indie Rebels (IR) series and is another amazing read!! I was so glad to see Holly Stirling finally get the man of her dreams!! We read about Holly and Jaxon in the 1st book and continuation in this book.
Holly has the hots for Jaxon but he seems to not have the same feelings..or does he?? When word gets out that Holly maybe kidnapped the IR and Xavier, Holly's brother thinks Jaxon can keep her save from the kidnappers but it seems that Holly has other ideas and doesn't think there really is a threat and hires her own bodyguard...who turns out to be Jaxon's long lost brother.
Jaxon now has to figure out what Bryce is up to and keep Holly safe..and keep his heart out of the equation...can he do this or will it all blow up in this face??

I always love reading books of Miranda!! What do you do if your new assignment is to protect his best friends’ sister?
She’s not just a normal girl, Xavier’s sister Holly is a singer who they fear may be kidnapped for ransom. Should be a piece of cake for Jaxon with his background but then the plot complicates more, Bryce the brother Jaxon hasn’t seen in years shows up to be Holly’s bodyguard and this can’t go well.

Jaxon has some secrets that are sure to be exposed if he gives in to his attraction and starts dating a person as famous as Holly Sterling. But when there is a kidnapping threat on Holly, and an investigation on his long lost brother, who happens to be Holly’s bodyguard, the best way to keep Holly safe is dating her.
Jaxon: the assignment is an intriguing suspense read with a heartwarming romance. Well written, with an interesting and captivating story that will keep you turning the pages.

This fantastic book 2 in the Indie Rebels series features Jaxon and Holly. There were always sparks between these two but he could never do the celebrity lifestyle. Jaxon likes his privacy and he’s got a few secrets he doesn’t want anyone to know. She's always wanted him but understands his need for privacy. The plot twist in this book turns both their lives upside down.
There are quite a few surprises between the covers of this book. Great read! I love the characters. Definitely looking forward to meeting more of those Indie Rebels. I can’t wait for book 3!

The “Indie Rebels” are back and I loved the wild ride Miranda takes us on with these amazing rebels. Suspense, Intrigue, danger, fun, excitement and enjoyment are some of what you can look forward to in this amazing book. It is well written with a well-developed, consistent plot; the characters are strong and have great depth; the chemistry between Jaxon and Holly is potent and their sex scenes are hot and descriptive. Just like the first book, Xavier, this one pulled me in from the beginning and wouldn't let go. I had to keep reading and couldn't put it down. Holly and Jaxon were fantastic characters. I loved them together! The story was well written and had drama, suspense, action, and steamy scenes. I can’t wait to read the next story in the series.

This book is full of romance, secrets, and suspense. Once I started reading, I didn't want to put the book down. I just had to know - who is behind the threats to the top female singers? What is Jaxon's family secrets? Is his brother involved with the criminal syndicate? Loved how the story progressed and some of the surprises along the way.
This is the first book I've read by this author and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book of this series.

A great book by a great author. Adjectives to describe this book: interesting, exciting, funny, suspenseful, and intense. The author did a wonderful job of building the drama and staying true to the story at the same time. Nothing felt out of place. The plot flowed well and the story was fast paced. Twists and turns filled the pages, making it almost impossible to determine whether one character was good or not. What a great ending. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I loved the Indie Rebel element of the story but would have preferred the romance element to be more than just sex, hence for me there was something lacking that made me drop a star. It was still an enjoyable and engaging book to read.

Holly, superstar singer, friends with Jaxon, who is best-friends with her brother Xavier. They have both been attracted to each other, yet Jaxon is unsure about his past, bring bad publicity to Holly, and hence she just thinks he isn't interested. Great story, someone is abducting famous / popular girls, for ransom. Will she be next, what will happen?? Excitement, action, courage, awesome story!

What a great series! I really enjoyed this book. It is well written, interesting, had a great storyline and characters. Jaxon is a hot alpha male and a bodyguard. He is assigned to Holly. They both have issues. This is an interesting, suspenseful, hot steamy read. I recommend it to all. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to all. I received it as an arc and voluntarily reviewed it.

This is a well written and captivating story. It has mystery, romance, intrigue and drama. The characters are well developed, interesting and likable. Awesome ! Loved Holly and Jaxon’s story. A very intriguing book that held my attention throughout the story. Great Characters and a well written storyline. Definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a great book

Great read …

Loved this book and whole series. Great storylines, great backstories for the characters, feisty and smart females, alpha males not afraid to love. Great suspense romance. Definitely reading this author again.
