The Experiment by Holly Hart a five-star read that won’t leave you with any queries. This was quiet possibly the best read by this author I have ever read, she really has run away with it this time. Brandon as a character is very conflicted, his plane has come down and he’s told several stories, are any of the right? It’s almost like a midlife crisis his life has been shaken up and he won’t ever be the same again, then a chance encounter and an opportunity to step into another role and become a man he wants to be? Or will it all be too much? Lily is just a girl in a band, who needs some help isn’t she? I loved her character, she has some great qualities and in the end if you aren’t rooting for her then did we read different books?

I dont even know what to think about this book, there was so much going on and no real explination until the very end.
The book starts with Brandon in a plane, said plane crashes...


Yes you heard right, the plane crashed out of the sky and not no soft landing, it spirled to the ground ripping his seat from the body of the plane itself and throwing him into a field. He wakes up still buckled in and after being dragged while unconcious by the falling plane is able to undue his seatbelt, raise the chair off of himself and WALK AWAY!

Now I know adrenaline can make you do some superhuman things so I read on.

He then manages to flag someone down and convince the man to drive him back to the hotel... The four seasons, but not after bartering with the man to let him buy his shoes for a couple of hundred dollars.....ummmmm

He gets there and is able to beat up Wayne who is Lilly's manager, did i remember to tell you that he was in a plane crash with other people who are now dead...No police called, no hospital visits and still macho enough to save the damsal in distress...Come on dude.

So both Lily and brandon are running from thier lives, Brandon because he thinks someone is out to get him and Lily because her manager Wayne is a psycho. Then for some reason they threw a sub/DOM relationship in there??? Not even sure why.

Why heck Holly has blown it out of the water again. It's a brilliant piece of a HEA. But heck what a journey these 2 strangers have. (And though I didn't know what THE EXPERIMENT was, but I didn't think it was worth knocking Abby stars of for it) BOTH are well known in their different fields.
Brandon a CEO of a big advertising company where he's having 1 disastrous event after another. And it's after the one where his life was uneventful of being killed.
Then there's lead singer of group Maidenfang Lilly, (who's songs & singing voice is known to Brandon, JUST not what she looks like).
These 2 are in the sane hotel, well they're 'neighbours' & it's here where he comes across her WITH her nasty manager, Wayne.
These 2 connect together, even though the pair of them don't come clean about who they really are & what has happened/happening for them being where they are.
So NOT only do we see how these two connect to each other, but it's their going's on around them with their jobs & the people who should be there protecting them.
The action & happening's for Brandon in the span of the week + is something out of a movie for him & it ALL boils down to the 1 person who he trusted most in the World.
And you do have to feel for Lilly, as her/the band's manager, who've they've been with since they were 16 should be the one they should trust in all aspects of their lives, but for gawd's sake he's not just greedy, he's mentally unstable.

REALLY GREAT READ, where there were at times I was holding my breath, with NOT wanting, what was happening to happen

Exceptional Writing!

Oh My Gosh!  Holly Hart has penned a real blockbuster here in this fabulously intense, emotional, suspenseful, mystery and unexpected romance.  Brandon's company seems to be having some trouble but he can't work out who is causing it. he feels as if he is being followed and when his plane crashes, but he survives he doesn't know who to trust or what to believe. So he pretends that he has died and lies low whilst trying to solve the mystery. Meanwhile, Lily is in a rock band and is just starting her first holiday for years so she is really set to enjoy the next three weeks.  She's going to be completely away form her slime-ball of a manager, Wayne, who has been abusing her for years and actually is saved by Brandon who lives next door from a beating by Wayne.  Can these two troubled souls find safety and love with one another? Can Brandon solve the mystery of who is trying to take over his company? What can they do about Lily's sleazy manager? Will they find happiness together?  This is a very different story form Holly's usual style but I LOVE IT!!!  I can't wait to read more in her next book!  get a copy of this and enjoy!!  I received a free reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion here.

What A Book!

Guess what?!
I just read a layered storyline with such sexual intensity and suspensefulness, I was in hanging out in the fictional clouds so caught up in the deceitfulness, secrets, and psychological deeds that Brandon and Lilly are smack dab in the middle of, their fated paths have crossed for a reason. The connection between them is a compelling confusing and molten lava to the touch.
Quickly becoming each other's allies, they form an even more impenetrable bond.
SIGH- this one! WOW.
The fast, juicy, maddening, whole lot of alpha, dark, with some light BDSM, fight or flight, thriller of a read kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know how this crazy yet remarkable scenario would play out. I had to know that Wayne ( the worst person and manager ever ) would get whats coming to him, or at the very least lose a limb, and if Brandon and Lilly get the perfect HEA.
Holly Hart did not disappoint!
Once again, Ms. Hart's word throwdown takes me away to these crazy places that have me thinking, cringing, fawning and fanning all the while rooting for characters to find their happy place!
A must read!

Romance and suspense with a little light BDSM. Lily and Brandon are both lying about who they really are but for different reasons. Brandon is trying to find out who is trying to kill him but finds himself involved with Lily. Lily is just happy to be with someone who doesn't want anything from her and who she can be herself with. Lily figures something is very wrong when her manager and Brandon's best friend are in cohoots. Brandon is put in a mental hospital by his best friend and then someone tries to kill him during the night. He beats the guy and escapes to go find Lily for help and to make sure she is ok. Will they be able to get away before the cops find them? Will they figure out who is after them? Will Lily finally get out of her contract with the label because they and her manager screwed up really bad? Will they continue their relationship or will they go their own ways and Lily continues with her music and Brandon goes back to Canada to straighten out his company?

I really enjoyed this story. I liked the characters and the premise. This didn't feel a lot like like an "experiment" between the two characters, more of they are drawn to each other and while it's a little out of the norm for them both they fit and work together. They both want to be who they are and not what the public view or who they are to the public to affect how the other sees them. They both know that there is probably more to what the other has described as their job and stuff but that isn't what matters to them at the time. I liked how the story flowed and how it was written. The sex is explicit, nothing too over the top. There are a couple of twists here and there but not totally unpredictable but that didn't matter/detract from the story. I liked it!

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Lily and Brandon. Both of them are hiding out and both of them are also looking for something. While hiding out they meet and find something in the other that they want to know more about. They wonder though is what they are running from going to ruin any chance they have at a future they want? Or will what they are trying to get away from is going to hurt them worse than they ever thought possible?

This is an amazing story that will hook you in from the first word to the very end. There are some ups and downs in this book that I really want to tell you about. I however don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Wow!

I can't say enough good things about this book. I saw it being endorsed by a few other authors I read and since I'm a Kindle Unlimited subscriber I decided to borrow it and am I glad I did. The story is action packed with twists that you most likely won't see coming. There is still that romance angle so no worries there. What I also found surprising was that I thoroughly enjoyed each of the bonus books that were also included with this book. I don't usually find that to be true with bonus books. All I can say is thank God for Kindle Unlimited because now I want to go back and read everything Holly Hart has written. This is a great author with a wonderful imagination and one of the reasons I am a reader!

I thought this was a good read, and the writing flowed well. Brandon and Lily are good together, and they have great chemistry! There is a few kinky things that are going on, but nothing too bad :) I thought they were written well. I really wanted to shake Lily a few times. She needed to stand up for herself, instead of letting her jerk of a manger walk all over her. It wasn't really a surprise as to who was behind all of Brandon's troubles, but it was satisfying watching it all fall apart. I was happy that eventually it all worked out in the end.

Oh Author Holly Hart had me from Hello or rather the crash... yes this book has it all. Rock Stars, Plane Crash, Romance with kink oh the best kind in my book. This book is well written and it has a great deal of mystery mixed in the storyline. Brandon and Lily are really an odd pair that is for sure but being so different they match. They are like two pieces of a puzzle that fit and who knows why? This is one of those books that when I started reading it (because the author sent me a copy originally) I could not put it down. I stayed up reading it and drove my husband crazy. I look forward to more books from this author.

A really hot, suspenseful romance. 💞😯💞

I really enjoyed this book! There were so many twists and turns in this book that it kept me wondering what was going to happen next. You start off with Brandon being the lone survivor of a small plane crash and instead of going to the authorities, he hitches a ride back into town to his hotel room. That same night, he saves Lily from being slapped, at the very least, by her manager. And then it just gets really involved very quickly. There is this instant connection between them that takes them down this intense and steamy road. 💗💞💗

Seriously think this may be her best book yet!! She’s such an amazing author that I never expect anything less than from her.
It has everything you’d want- suspense, mystery, romance, a little BDSM, and at the heart of it all, love.
It’s definitely a book you won’t want to put down once you start!
Lily is a rock star that’s trying to take a vacation for the the first time in years.
Brandon is in a plane crash and decides to hide out with the perfect opportunity to fake his death.
They have a chance meeting but it only takes meeting the right person once to know it’s the one for you.
A must read!

Lily is a singer and had a good life enjoying her music the only down side to it was the manager of the group, he's a grade A ass in more ways than one. Then one night a man looking worse for wear steps in to help with her manager. Brandon is a high flying CEO but things are as quiet in the company as he thinks. When the plane he's in crashes he walks away with some bad cuts and scrapes but nothing to serious. When he see's a man going to hit a woman he steps in to help. This story has a funny side to it as well as a very serious one with a lot of cloak and daggers going on the back ground that will have intrigued, great story.

More like "All Heck Brakes Out"!

This is the first in the collection. Experiment??? Don't understand why the title. Yes it's a romance, but over flowing in suspense. Both for Maidenfang the group and for Brandon. Each had their nightmare start before they meet each other, only to mesh. No cliffhanger, no cheating and you get a happy ending. Overall story was well written. A bit tough getting through the first few chapters because of the staging, but worth sticking it out. Several more stories to read included in this, but in case they are as full as the first, didn't want to get side tracked.

Rock On

Holly has written another great story, this time full of suspense, intrigue and of course smouldering romance. I must admit I guessed early on who was behind Brandon’s escalating nightmare. It did not make it any the less enjoyable. I loved all the twists and turns. I could not for the life of me see how it would all unfold though. Lily finally stuck up for herself and the band. I am pleased that the heroine was not a virgin for a change. I received a copy of the book from Holly and I leave my honest review.

I haven't read a whole lot lately but this book seemed to catch my eye. Lily is different, she seems like she is being suppressed by her boss and her lifestyle but when she meets Brandon she seems able to take that leap. Brandon though is far from problem free, he literally falls straight from the heaven's into her lap. I enjoyed the read, and read the book in one sitting. No cheating, no fake drama, just an interesting bunch of characters trying to get there life as close to normal as possible. Very enjoyable read.

They meet in the hotel that they both are staying at. So many twist and turns in their lives. Can they figure everything out? Can they find love in all of this? Why so many lies going on? This was a fun read!! Lilly the rockstar is so tired of being mistreated and shoved everywhere is ready for a break from her horrible reality. She wants to start a new leaf, but there are so many people on her coat tail she feels responsible for.

Brandon knows something is off in his business and his misfortune could not have happened at a better time to prove his suspensions. While on his mission Lilly crosses his path. These two have points to prove and ready for a fresh start.

Brandon and Lily meet and neither reveal their own identities! (I won’t say why as it would give the plot away) They share a bond and a love of kink! Some of the major people in their lives are not what they seem and this causes a major fall out with threats to their lives! The passion is great in this book! This was a different type of book, suspense and romance with seemingly unlikely characters. BUT it works great! Brandon and Lily meet, are drawn together to rescue each other. The suspense continues til a well concluded ending. These two have chemistry and they are very likable. Holly Hart keeps getting better and better with each book. Wow!
I was given this book for an honest review!
Brandon was meant to die, when his plane del out of the sky, but he walked away. Lily is a singer with a band, just back at the hotel, when Brandon see this bloke about to hit her, so sets in & hits him. The see each other again the next day, they lie to each other about who they are. They ate perfect for each other.
This book has light BDSM in it & an action packed story right from the start!

I think the title is misleading. This book should have been titled, "Crash and Burn"! Because that is exactly what happened to Lily and Brandon. From the beginning to the end, these two were put through the ringer. Used, abused and totally confused, these two were getting burned. Hopefully they'll survive the crash. Once I let go of the title, it was easier to enjoy this tale of woe.No spoilers.

This book was extremely well written! There was quite a bit going on with both Brandon and Lily. There was action, danger, suspense, betrayal, and some crazy, sexy chemistry!!! I loved how Lily and Brandon came from two different worlds but were so completely perfect for each other. The only thing I’m not sure about is the title of the book, otherwise and excellent read!

I don't know where Ms. Hart found her "inspiration" for this one but she needs to keep it. This is one of her best in my opinion. The heat level between Lily and Brandon is a 10+.
