Sera loves G. Dylan loves Ava. But Dylan has taken Sera in hopes she will love him. Why you ask? Because Sera is Ava and Dylan is G. Confused yet? Well, welcome to the world of the Infinity Division.

Alpha by Jus Accardo is the third book of the young adult science fiction/romance series. Each book in the series has taken a page from romance and switched the main characters but it’s definitely best to read from book one and unravel the Infinity world from the beginning instead of treating these as standalones as one would do in a romance series.

The Infinity Division was introduced in the first book where those working for Infinity have discovered the ability to jump dimensions. In each dimension the characters all exist but lead very different lives from the first world. G and Sera had fallen in love while captive together whereas Dylan has come from a dimension where the woman of his dreams that he planned on marrying, Ava, had died so he had gone looking for another.

Obviously most fans of science fiction will have heard of different dimensions in one story or another. Most recently The Flash television series comes to mind in which they have Earth 1 and Earth 2 and so on mixed into the shows so I’ve said from the beginning of this series that while I don’t fine it overly original overall it is a fun read. Obviously these rely heavily on the romance to help fuel the action but the story does have a lot of action too. Finishing up this third installment I’d give this one 3.5 stars as it wasn’t my favorite but still good in the end.

I've really enjoyed this series. It's outside the box. This book, Alpha was my favourite. It probably could be read as a standalone but it's best to start at the beginning.

Alpha is Sera and G's story. In an alternate universe Sera is Ava and G is Dylan. Dylan lost his dream girl, his one true love and is desperate to have her back. He is able to travel to other versions of his world but they are all slightly different. His Ava is gone but he rescues Sera in the hope he can make her fall in love with him.

Dylan is delusional and a monster in Sera's eyes. She has already found her true love. A different version of Dylan, G. The problem is nowhere is safe. Dylan is holding her captive but Cora the mother of an evil scientist is wanting her back to experiment on her. Dylan says G's friends are evil and it's hard for her to understand what's going on. The only thing she is clear on is not loving Dylan.

This book is full of twists and turns. One discovery to ruin a family and fix them with different parts. This book is easy to follow it's just hard to explain. One version of yourself may choose differently from another. The variables change. The outcome is unpredictable.

5 stars out of 5. I felt sorry for Dylan even though he has done bad things. The Chase between the main characters from the series continues. Dylan needs to be stopped but by who and how will the reality turn out.

Alpha was the final book in The Infinity Division Trilogy and it ended with a bang! I loved watching all the loose ends get tied up and those I've come to care for get their happily ever afters. But it was a rough road get there. Heartache, redemption, sacrifice, lies and love filled the pages and at times everything seemed so unsure in this parallel dimension story. So if you're interested in giving this series a try you definitely have to go back to book one, Infinity. Yes each book is about a different couple, but the stories and threads are all linked together. It was so much fun seeing it all come full circle and there's a moment that takes us back to the beginning of this series, awww loved it!! So to finish up this trilogy, here are some of my favorite aspects:

“Dylan, everyone on every earth is breaking at some point or another.” I looked him dead in the eye. “Bad things happen to all of us. Horrible, life-altering things. It’s how we choose to deal with them that defines us.” - Sera

✮ Everlasting Love:

“I’m not going to kiss you again.” The statement was crystal clear; it was the delivery that lacked conviction. “I’m poison. Inside and out.”
“Then poison me,” I said. I brushed my lips to his again, this time slightly harder. He stayed absolutely still. I pulled away. “Do it so that I can show you I won’t break. I’m not fragile, G. I’m made of steel. You told me that, remember? I’m a fighter, so let me fight for you.”

I loved the idea that no matter what dimension you were in, there were always the constants in your life. And within those constants was that one true love. I loved Kade and Kori, then Noah and Ash and finally I got to swoon for G and Sera. We've known different versions of them on other dimensions and their true names are Dylan and Ava. But G and Sera faced the biggest hurdles and struggles yet. And as if that wasnt enough, they had Dylan after them, in different ways. But regardless of everything they were put through, their love stood strong and not only fought the test of time but dimensions too.

✮ Friendships That Span The Dimensions:

“G, take a deep breath. We’re here to help you.” Kori… She came around to stand in front of me . Her gaze flickered to something on my right, then back to me. “We’re your friends.”
Someone beyond my field of vision snorted. Had to be Noah. “Friends? Not sure I’d go that far,” he said. “But we won’t set you on fire or anything.”
There was an echoing thwap —probably from Ash smacking the shit out of him— and a hiss.

I loved how this group of six, could be found in almost every dimension. Their dynamic was a ton of fun and added so much to this series. So it made my heart happy that we seemed to gather the best of all of their selves into this rag tag kinda group. When they were together it definitely wasn't easy, and not everyone was going to end up bffs, but still, it was so entertaining to watch them together. In this book I adored watching what happened between G and Kade. G was another Dylan, so the two of them were brothers in a sense, and I loved some of the moments they had together.

✮ Action!:

I screamed at night over the things Cora had done to me, but Dylan was right. The devil was standing at my back.
And he had Dylan’s face. - Sera

There was a ton of action and this book had that go, go, go feeling. But there was also moments where we got to breathe. Thank goodness because we had Cora after Sera and Ash, Dylan was after so much I can't even talk about, G and Cade were trying to save Sera and then there's also the projects we learned about in book 2. Oh my gosh, there was a lot going on. I'm happy I quickly skimmed some of my highlights from book 2, Omega, so that way I knew exactly where I stood before stepping into this book. BUT I never once felt lost or confused. The story and characters were extremely easy to follow and it made Alpha fly by super fast!

✮ That Ending:

She was the sun in my world, and I was simply a planet caught in her gravitational pull, helpless. Without her light, I would wither and die. - G

If you adore happily ever afters, then you're going love the ending to this series. We got to see what happened and where their lives would lead with so many of our favorites. Did everyone get a HEA? Ummmm no lol. But that was bound to be expected and all I can say is that I'm ecstatic with how many epilogues we got at the back of the book.

“She was that for me,” Dylan said. He grinned, and for the first time since I’d met him, it was a genuine smile. “She was the only one who saw me . If you’re really that for him, don’t let go, because without you… Without you, he’ll just become me.”

I had a lot of fun reading this trilogy. It was unlike a lot of other books I have read but it had that chemistry and tension that I always crave when I pick up a book. So if you adore books that have complicated friendships and love interests, solid characters that stand out and a fun science fiction element then you should give this series a try. I will definitely be picking up other books by this author!

The Infinity Division was introduced in the first book where those working for Infinity have discovered the ability to jump to different dimensions. In each dimension the characters all exist, but lead very different lives from one world to the next. Alpha continues where Omega left off and Infinity began. The first two books featured Cade, Kori, Noah, and Ashlyn. Now, the author wraps up the story by featuring two characters we've met in Omega.

This book was the perfect conclusion to the series. In a world, or worlds, that had been mounting tension and pressure the way this exploded into action and adventure and pain was so on point for the Series. G was my favorite dude and that was hard cause cranky Noah had me for the longest. But give me a tortured anti hero and I’m trash for it. Sara was also a gem and I loved how they navigated this fight together. And that ending. Be still my beating heart. Perfection on all counts.

In Alpha, we follow Sera and G (in alternating POVs) as they attempt to take down the creator of the Infinity project, Cora, once and for all. This involves a lot of realm skipping, alliances that are made and broken, and secrets that finally come to light. Though I’ve seen nothing confirming this, the book reads as a conclusion to the series, wrapping up story lines for Kori and Noah and all the characters from the previous two books.

My experience with this novel may be a very particular one, because I jumped into this series without experiencing the first or second novels. Book two, Omega, is advertised as one that can be read as a standalone. I have not seen that in relation to Alpha, but I will say this myself: you cannot read Alpha as a standalone book. You will understand the plot, but you will not connect to the characters’ motivations, nor will it be easy to understand all the terms specific to this book (ie realm skipping, PATH lines, the Infinity Division, etc).

For this reason, I will focus a lot of my review on what this book presented, and not what I didn’t understand that I’m sure was explained in other books. Just to get it out of the way, though, let me offer my (very likely ignorant due to lack of series knowledge) bafflement at your feet:

1) PATH Lines: Somehow, these are implemented in certain individuals’ arms, allowing them to travel from realm to realm. The description on the PATH lines was lacking, though. Is this a holographic grid that pops up? An electronic line that illuminates on the person’s arm? How exactly does this look? As a reader, I had no way of picturing this during my reading.

2) Realms: Slowly during my reading I came to understand there is only one real realm: Wells, a town I think? City? And it has many different versions, which is what the people are skipping through. But why does only Wells have different realms? What determines the rules in these different realms? (It seems so arbitrary that a realm is simply defined by “we jail people for violence” or the way they dress.

Let’s move to the actual book now. Prior to reading, I skimmed reviews on the first two books to get details on plot (since there didn’t seem to be actual full plot description anywhere, I improvised). This helped with knowing who was who, but even then, I kept forgetting characters and if they’re good or bad. Because there are a lot of characters? Noah, Yancy, Dylan, G, Kori, Cade, Cora, Ash, Sera, Karl Anderson (x2), Rabbit, Makaden… These names are popping up back and forth and sitting here now I think I remember how each of them contributed to the book?

With so many characters, it somewhat follows that the plot was a bit convoluted. In the beginning of the novel, Sera was imprisoned by Dylan and G is skipping around with Cade and I think some others? And Dylan wants nothing more than to have his Ava back. Sera makes a deal with him (will not spoil), he agrees with it, okay, we have a plan!

But then BAM, Cora appears and has the exact solution to his problem. Not to mention she brings up a problem for Sera (but has a solution) and a problem for G (but has a solution). So Sera’s deal with Dylan is now moot, their whole conversation was … a waste?

Then five seconds later BAM G appears and Sera ends up with him and Dylan skips off. So the plan that was made ten pages ago with Cora, so carefully, is moot too. G and Sera make their own plan with Cade but then BAM something else appears and that plan is moot…

I could continue but that would really spoil everything, although, is it a spoiler if the tendency of this book is to backtrack on everything the characters do? Every time a new character appears, they have the perfect solution to every problem our heroes face AND they render moot every single conversation/plan that has occurred in previous pages. For a majority of the book, I felt like I was wasting my time reading scenes that would mean nothing in a few more chapters. Which was frustrating to say the least?

Accardo focuses another portion of Alpha on Sera and G’s relationship. The two have been locked in adjacent cells for a significant portion of their lives, and now they are finally united. Clearly there is going to be some romantic tension. Sadly, I was not vibing this relationship. When G kisses Sera, it almost spooked me? The description was just very physical and violent, I actually thought he was going in to attack her, not make out. So sadly, not a ship for me.

“I’ve seen you, G. You’re not afraid of anything. So what’s the big deal? Just get over it and kiss–“

The thundering of my pulse drowned out everything else. The buzz of the clock, her voice, my logic… I lost my shit. I grabbed her face and mashed my lips to hers, moving them furiously, greedily, like she was the meal I’d been deprived of from the moment I’d entered this world.

I will say Accardo has something very creative and cool with the concept of this book. People skipping realms to find the one they love? I’m down for that. But the execution was not there for me, and I don’t think it’s simply because I hopped in mid-series. Yet my opinion will not necessarily be yours, so be sure to make your own thoughts on this series (and start with book one?) TBH, the first book’s plot intrigued me way more, sadly I was not offered that ARC. *sob*

Two stars because I felt like I was reading huge portions of a book that ended up backtracking on itself, the romance did not connect for me, and I (to be honest) was skimming by 80%.

I am the queen of stand alone and companion novels and here I am, sad that I have to say goodbye to cast of a characters I’ve gotten to know over The Infinity Files.

Infinity, Omega, and now Alpha have all focused on different characters, though the same core characters have been through every book. Alpha focuses on G and Sera, who have been held captive and experimented in. Now free, they’re on the run from their past while figuring out their future.

This inter-dimensional story charmed the heck out of me, just as Infinity and Omega did. Jus managed to take characters who we have done unspeakable things and give them redemption while holding their accountable.

Of course, this wouldn’t be an Entangled novel without a smoking hot romance. Each of the couples is destined to be together, as shown over and over again through the different universes. G and Sera are no different, though they have the extra dynamic of both being plucked from their worlds and needing to start over.

I rarely miss characters once a book is over but I will miss each of the characters in this one. Except Cora, because she really has some karma coming to her!

This book was amazing. Not everything was tied up in a pretty bow, but it made it more real that way. You could really see where G, Sera, and Dylan were coming from, what fueled them. It was neat to see the flashbacks that created the link between G and Sera. I liked how they brought out the best in each other, even if they had flaws. Like I said, a very real perspective in this novel.

After finally getting the gist of the story and figuring out the whole premise of the story, it wasn’t that bad. But I did find out however that this is a series really needs to be read in order. The stories don’t really work as standalone stories.

In this third installment we cross paths with Sera and G who are being held captive and used for experiments. Dylan is in love with Ava but she has died so he goes in search of another Ava and comes across Sera whom he kidnaps. I did figure out that G and Dylan are the same person and Ava and Sera are the same yet they come from different dimensions/realms/planes…whichever you choose to call them they are the same. Sort of like the different earths with a doppelganger of you on each earth on Flash. All the same yet personalities are a little quirky on each one.

I also found out that in Book 1 they work for Infinity and are able to jump into the different dimensions. Dylan tries to twists things so that Sera will believe what he is saying about G and chooses him. This can be very confusing if you are not paying attention or haven’t read the previous books.

I enjoyed how it seems as if the same common core of characters show up as I traveled through the different dimensions. It actually made for a more comprehensible and cohesive story. Ms. Accardo was able to show how the dimensions worked. They were the same on a level yet different. Like twins or triplets look the same put have different personalities.

As Ms. Accardo took us on this journey through the different dimension she did a great job of the descriptions of each one from: the sounds, the smells, the clothes, the climates, the emotions, even the feel of the punishments. It made it very simple to visualize just what each dimension was like.

The way the author uses POV’s makes it easy to follow a story also. In this case First person was used which allowed me to follow the story a little easier without having read the first two books in this series.

Although I enjoyed this story despite being lost more than a time or two I found it to be an adventure worth taking. I am however going to read the first two books just so that everything is tied up and I understand it a bit more.

If you enjoy romance in a Sci-Fi setting I think you will enjoy this series.

The long awaited conclusion to the Infinity series highlighted two characters Sera and "G" who must defeat the parallel universe's Cora Anderson in order to free themselves from her evil plans. For me, their story was harder to follow not just because I had a lot of stops and starts trying to read it, but because it was hard to get into the characters themselves. Also, this Cora is pretty twisted how she tortures Sera and G, so it's one of the darker novels in the series.

In one universe G is Dylan and Sera is Ava. When Ava dies, Dylan is heartbroken and vengeful. Determined to reunite with her, he jumps into one universe after another always seeking his Ava in hopes of rescuing her before she dies yet again and again and again. But at the same time, Dylan continually kills every Kori Anderson, girlfriend of his brother Cade and sister to Noah, who in one universe has never been born. These relationships form the nucleus of the story and it can get confusing.

The slow buildup is agonizingly so. The flashbacks, meant to set the stage, hint that Sera has lost memories while G cannot forget. As the reader, I just wanted it to move forward and get to the exciting part. Which it does, about 80 percent into the book. And there are satisfying epilogues for each of the couples so there's that for fans who want to know what happens "ever after."

Alpha was my least favorite book in this series, probably because it follows G and Sera, who are relatively new characters we don’t know much about. Sera and G’s story is brought well, but the plot started to feel a bit repetitive after a while. The two main characters are once more skipping dimensions, staying in motels, searching people while fleeing from others. I understood that this book is about their story, but I was still disappointed that the other characters are tossed aside and only brought up at the end to wrap things up. Overall, I definitely enjoyed this series, it’s a quick and entertaining read, but focusing on two characters in each novel and almost completely ignoring the others didn’t work that well for me.

I loved the ending. It did not disappoint. It was fast paced, with characters that were probably the most interesting of the group (im still a noah and ash fan though) but Jus writes good characters that keep the book going at a great pace.

Alpha is the final book in The Infinity Division series by Jus Accardo, preceded by Infinity and Omega, and it wraps up the journey began in the first book nicely. The series continues it’s intriguing twists and turns as all the characters jump from one version of Earth to another while trying to keep their enemies at bay.

As with previous books, in Alpha we follow two new main protagonists - Sera and G - while still getting to follow the stories of previous main characters. Sera can’t remember her life before she was kept in captivity and experimented on, and G wants to forget his life before. Unbeknownst to both of them, their lives are on borrowed time and it’s a race to find a way to stay alive and beat the odds.

Despite the sheer number of times that characters jump from one version of Earth to another, it’s not a difficult book to follow (if you’re someone concerned with keeping on track with where everyone is). Jus Accardo does a good job of making sure you get enough to detail to know where everyone is and still keep the plot moving. While not a complicated plot - enemies chasing down the good guys across multiple Earths - there’s enough character development, growth and relationship drama to suit most readers.

A note, for potential readers, it’s important to read all the books in the series in order because while we follow different characters in each book, each book is a direct sequel and all the events from books one and two have an impact on Alpha, so it makes much more sense if you’ve read them previously, because there’s not a whole lot of explanation. You jump straight into the action at the start of book three, so it can be hard to get your bearings if you’re not familiar with the general plot line.

Overall I really enjoyed the series and the conclusion. Alpha wrapped the story threads up for all characters, old and new, nicely and allows enough for readers to imagine what could happen next. If you’re a young adult reader interested in science-fiction, this is an easy way to break into that genre while still having a story that is, more or less, grounded on Earth.

I gave Alpha 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Alpha by Jus Accardo is Infinity Division book 3 and the final book in the trilogy. Sera, G, and Dylan have been through a lot and see a lot through different versions of themselves. If you have been reading the Infinity Divisions books, which you should do before reading this one, Alpha is a satisfying end to the trilogy. Overall I recommend Alpha by Jus Accardo. The dynamic and complex charachters are matched by an equally complex world. Nothing is easy for them, but you know that somehow they are going to make it happen.

Another series done and gone. All and all, it wasn't bad, despite the average rating. I certainly preferred some characters over others. But I'll talk more about that toward the end, when I do a series wrap up. Beware that the series wrap up will have some spoilers. They aren't super major but it's best to avoid that if you don't want to get spoiled.

The two MCs in this book were Sera and G, from the previous book. Now I didn't mind them but I just couldn't get into their POVs as much as I did for Ash and Noah. Sera was a fighter and she never gave up, which is something I admire. But I just couldn't connect with her. It felt like she was just waiting for people to save her instead of trying to get out of the situation. Same with G, in the sense that I couldn't get into his POV. He was a lot more darker than I'm used too and I think that's why I wasn’t a huge fan of him. I'm not the biggest fan of anti heroes. It takes a special character to get me really into them. And sadly, G was not it.

In this book, Dylan was more humanized that I had ever seen him and it was interesting. Honestly, I didn't think I would like it because I didn't like Dylan at all. I didn't like him as a person and I didn't like him as a villain. But I liked it? Who am I? I don't condone what Dylan did, not by a long shot. But the way Jus handled his redemption, talking about how some people just break when something traumatic happens. I don't know, that really got me and I suddenly did hate Dylan so much.

Series review;
This series was surprisingly good. When I first started, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. Interdemensional travel? Confusing! My only experience is the Family Guy episode Road to the Multiverse. But the way Jus went about it, gave us chunks of information and broke down the concept into Layman's terms, it made sense. The Alpha project was still a bit unclear. I'm not entirely sure what the whole goal was there.

Noah and Ash were my favorite POVs out of all the POVs that were offered. There were just something about them that worked. They clicked so well together, even though Noah was putting up one hell of a fight. Their love for each other and their will to keep on fighting just made my heart melt.

Overall, this series was good! I need to own it, simply for the beautiful covers. Seriously, props to whoever did that. But anyway, if you are looking for an easy to read interdemensional travel book with romances that will make your heart swoon, then this series is the one for you.

I'll be the first one to say I love me some universe tripping science fiction. Seeing your way through the various possibilities of what life could've looked like is always fascinating to me, especially when its someone else's looking glass that I'm looking through. So when this ARC came across my screen, I got really excited to read it and see the madness unfold with this cast of characters.

Unfortunately, this book really turns out to be mostly a dud as its difficult to keep track of exactly what's going on. I get it, we're in book three of a series here. However, when you're dealing with alternate universes, multiple versions of the same character - a girl is going to need a LOT more help remember which version of planet Earth this character is from, which one they're on, and why I'm supposed to care about this character right now.

Our leads here are Sera and G. Sera is being held captive by Dylan, who is straight up crazy for her.
Unfortunately, what he doesn't seem to understand is that Sera is not the same as Ava - or at least that's how Sera sees it. Sera and Ava are the same girl in alternate dimensions of Earth. To make this even more interesting, Dylan is the same guy as G - again, just from alternate dimensions of Earth in this case. While Sera can't remember anything prior to her imprisonment at the Infinity Division, G remembers it all and desperately wishes he didn't.

These two leads are setup to be the two halves of a circle and while I can appreciate the imagery on a level, I found them to be superbly boring. I had a difficult time tracking what was happening at any given time during the story, so caring about the characters became the primary thing driving me towards finishing the book. The issue is that I really didn't feel any connection to these characters. Although they felt bonded to one another, I didn't feel bonded to them and while reading, I found myself skimming the pages on a regular basis. Not a good sign for me as a reader.

On the run to escape their former captor, the evil Cora Anderson, Sera and G find themselves racing against the clock and across parallel dimensions to save themselves. In the process, they stumble upon a plot that could lead to the deaths of millions of people living on multiple versions of Earth.

Sera is a girl who has no memory of her past life. All she can remember is the cell she had been imprisoned in for months at the Infinity Division, and the voice of the boy, G, whose cell had been next to hers. When they are liberated from Infinity by strangers who claimed to know versions of Sera and G from a different dimension, Sera ends up in the hands of the homicidal Dylan Granger, who is a different version of G.

G, who hides a dark past and a violent alter ego created by Cora's experiments, has to first rescue Sera from Dylan, and then find a way to keep Sera out of Cora's clutches as the madwoman frantically tries to get her back. Terrified to lose himself to the darkness in his soul before the girl he loves is safe, G fights with everything he has to hold onto the tiny amount of goodness within him that Sera insists is there.

When I initially read the plot synopsis for "Alpha," I was intrigued. Alternate versions of Earth are always fun to explore, and the love story between Sera and G sounded interesting. I was thrilled when I got my advance copy of the book, and couldn't wait to find out how the duo surpassed the obstacles that blocked the path to their happiness and peace.

However, within reading the first couple of pages, I was extremely confused. Perhaps it was just because I hadn't read the first two books in the series, but I struggled to understand exactly what was happening, as well as how the various characters were related to each other. It took me some time to become even somewhat attached to the characters, let alone care what happened to them. In fact, I really only started to care about what happened in the story when Cora's big plans were revealed and the characters devoted themselves to stopping her.

I was also disappointed by the amount of significant character development. Sera and G remained mostly the same over the course of the story, with a few little reveals here and there that didn't really change how I viewed them. Honestly, I found that Dylan had the most development, as he became a more sympathetic character over the course of the novel.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this book to a friend. There was a lot of potential to this story for vivid world-building and compelling, three-dimensional characters, but sadly, the story fell flat in its execution. While longtime fans of the series will probably enjoy the story, particularly the ending, this is not a great place to just jump in. Not the worst book I've ever read, but it's definitely not anywhere near the best.

First Thoughts:

I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I first started this book. No I didn't read the first two books in this series but the premise of this book was too good to pass up. I thought heck, let's see if I could get into this book without reading the first two books. I mean the two main characters were different than the previous two books, what would the harm be? Where there was some confusion in the beginning on how things worked in the world, by the end I had a good grasp on the world. But I would totally recommend that you read the first two books first because the characters from those make an appearance in this book. I think I would've gotten more out of this book if I had read the first two.

Plot:

This book was focused on trying to take down Cora Anderson, at least one version of her. Because in this world there are several versions of the same person just in different dimensions of earth. It was sometimes hard to differentiate the different versions of the same person but most of the time the person was different from the other versions, so it made it easier to tell who was who. But this one version of Cora made up the main antagonist in the book. The whole time they're trying to take her down and there's obstacles in-between to keep the book flowing. I was surprised how fast this book was able to be read. The pages just flew past and before I knew it, I was to the Epilogue. And at the end there was an epilogue for the past two books characters, though I didn't take much for them because I didn't read the books. I know it would've made the world to the people who have. I loved the climax in this book, it had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn't wait till the downfall so I could catch my breath.

Romance:

This book was focused a lot on the romance. Dylan wanted Sera and G wanted Sera. Dylan only wanted Sera because she was another version of the girl he lost, Ava. And G wanted Sera because they bonded when they were held captive as experiments. They never got to see each other while held captive but they had the sound of each others voices to keep them company( how romantic!). I really liked the romance between G and Sera and I believe they were well suited for each other. The other couples in the book were good too but they were more prominent in their own story I'm sure.

Characters:

So G is another version of Dylan and Sera is another version of Ava. I really connected with Sera, she was someone I could understand. She had this undying love that no matter what, she was going to stick up for it. She wasn't going to let anything get in her way. Though she wasn't as strong of a character as I would've liked, she was still strong in her own way. G on the other-hand had a lot of weak moments. He was fighting an inner demon and so he was harder to see as particularly strong. Though he did have his strong moments. Dylan I hated even in the end. He let his grief get to him too much and was a jerk most of the book. Cade was pretty cool. He was more of a background character in this book but he was still fun to read.

Transformation of the Character:

Sera didn't do a lot of transforming in this book, which was disappointing. She seemed to me to be the same person throughout. Though G did do some transforming, he was a weak character throughout the book but by the end he finally settled on who he wanted to become. Dylan though was a jerk most of the book by the end he changed some too but he was still the same Dylan deep inside.

Description:

I liked how the author described the different dimensions of Earth. Some versions were vastly different while some were eerily similar. One dimension arrested you for any kind of violence and the punishment was almost always death. The author even described the types of clothes that were common in each dimension which was so cool that she would even consider that little detail. The author also did a great job on describing the characters emotions. Like I could really connect to G's emotions. He was holding back so much in the book, that I just wanted the release for him.

Style:

This was written in first person and in mainly two POV's(point of views). I think choosing to write in first person allowed the reader to better connect with both Sera and G. It allowed us to get inside their mind and understand their thought process and what they saw. Writing in the main two POV's allowed us to switch back and forth between the two main characters; Sera and G. We were able to see the world better; to get a better understanding the factors that were playing into the plot. At the end though, we got to get in a few more character POV's. It allowed for the series to wrap up and allow the author to say goodbye to their characters. I'm really glad the author did this because it really allowed the emotional departure from the world for the reader. Also, there were scenes throughout the book that took you back to when G and Sera were locked up as captives. This really was essential to the plot, we were able to better understand why things were playing out the way they were. Since this was the first time I read anything by the author it was my first time experiencing the authors' writing. I enjoyed her writing, it really was easy and fun to read. The dialogue was also good.

Last Thoughts:

I'm still debating on whether to go back and read the first two because I was so satisfied with this book that I don't know if I need anymore experience with this world. So much happened that it really left me exhausted by the end. But I really enjoyed this book and look forward to any further series by this author. And yes this time I will read the first book first. But if you're not interested in the premises of the first two books this book can be read alone but I really recommend you read the first two first. I think you'll get more from this series if you do.

This was just as entertaining as the first two in the trilogy. I really grew to love G and Sera's characters. I did feel like the end was a little disappointing. I just expected a little more. Kind of wanted to see all the main characters together and more about the relationships. But still enjoyed this series as a whole. Fun read and unique world(s).

"Alpha" is the third and final book in the Infinity Division series. In each book, the plots are connected although we follow a different couple. The overarching plot is that there are a multitude of other realities, where we exist but are somehow different from our reality. However, on many realities, technology has been created where you can skip from reality to reality. On a military planet, Dylan's fiance, Ava, died, and he lost his mind, searching her out in other realities- and going on a killing spree to end Kori's life in the other realities out of revenge (she is Ava's cousin and his brother's romantic interest).

In the last book, we found out that an evil version of Kori's mother, Cora, has invented the inter-dimensional travel but also been using it for nefarious purposes, stealing people from other dimensions. Two of these people are G and Sera, who have been trapped and experimented on by her for a long time. They escaped at the end of the last book along with the characters we've been following. But now Sera (aka Ava from another dimension) has been captured by Dylan who is convinced he can make her love him, and G is in pursuit.

The first quarter of the book is hard to read. Dylan is really not a great guy, and he's hoping for Stockholm Syndrome to kick in and Sera to fall in love with him/replace the Ava he knew. There almost seems to be some trying to convince the reader that he's really a good guy, despite his killing sprees, kidnapping/holding hostage, and general terrible behaviors. I didn't particularly like this part of the book (a theme that came up again later). Anyway, things change about a quarter of the way through, and it begins to seem more in line with the earlier books- except that here, we drop the other characters, and it's really only G and Sera with very minor appearances from others.

I think if I hadn't been so invested in the first two books (which are so wonderful), I am not sure if I would have enjoyed this final book. The best part of this one was the epilogue which wraps up everyone's stories. The beginning was tough to read, and the middle felt a little too long- I wish we had more of the earlier characters to spice it up a bit more. That being said, I still read it all the way through, and I was glad to see the ending for the characters we had come to know and love from the earlier books.

I would definitely recommend starting with the first book in the series. Although different characters are focused on in each book, you really need the overall context to understand what is going on! And the first two books are just wonderful so definitely worth a good read!

So when Sera is kidnapped by another version of G names Dylan in a desperate bid to recreate his lost love, G will stop at nothing to find her. Both teens are scarred by their past but as they fight for each other, they’ll have to trust strangers if they have any hope of surviving against tremendous odds….

The Infinity series by Jus Accardo has been one I have very much enjoyed reading and although Alpha is probably my least liked instalment out of the trio, I still found it to be a very enjoyable read. It had all the elements of an enjoyable YA sci-fi read; romance, danger, excitement and mystery.

Fast paced and exciting, Alpha unfolds through Sera and G’s back and forth POV’s, allowing readers the chance to get to know both characters very well. Those who have read the first two books will know that G and Sera are different versions of Dylan and his beloved Ava. With Dylan one of the villains of the story, I was stoked when it appeared we’d get a novel featuring another version of the Dylan we have known and loathed. It made for interesting reading, especially considering these are two characters who had been experimented on by Cora Anderson.

G and Sera complimented each other very well. My favourite characters and couple will always remain Noah and Ash, but Sera and G did manage to win a little bit of my heart in this novel. They’d been through so much that it was very satisfying seeing them finally manage to free themselves of those who brought them down and tortured them.

Jus Accardo ends this trilogy very well. Readers such as myself will love the opportunity to revisit the other couples at the very end of the novel as Accardo gives us a brief look into where they are currently at in their lives. Concluding the series wonderfully with Alpha, the Infinity series is one I highly recommend if you enjoy YA sci-fi romance with spunk—a very enjoyable trilogy!

After finally finding Ava, or Sera as she likes to be called, hidden away in a cell in Cora’s facility it seemed as if the chase was over. Dylan had finally found the girl he’d been looking for, but what he didn’t expect was for another version of him to be there also. G, what the other Dylan likes to be called, and Sera have become test subjects for Cora’s latest projects. Neither of them has any memories from their previous lives and are very surprised when Dylan comes in wanting to take Sera away, She fights against him in hopes of staying with G, but Dylan is too quick. Soon they’re transported to another earth, and Sera finds that she has to attempt to get along with him, or he’ll hurt the one she genuinely cares about.

G isn’t about to let the girl he’s been pining after for who knows how long slip through his fingers. Sera was the only one that could keep him grounded while they were locked up and he swore that he’d be with her once they got out. Using Noah to track him, they go after Dylan in hopes of ending this thing once and for all. The frustration of losing Sera and not being able to pinpoint Dylan gets to G, and he finds it gets harder and harder to control his anger. He knows that Cora did something to him, pushing him to the edge of his breaking point and trying to get him to lose control, but he won’t give in. They both think that they’re free from Cora’s control. They left her behind on another earth. Little do they know that she’s about to make all of their lives a little bit more interesting.

In this final chapter of The Infinity Division, all loose ties are finally put together as Sera and G’s stories unfold. I would give this last novel 5 out of 5 stars. Accardo indeed has found the recipe for making a tremendously compelling book. The emotions are palpable, and you find yourself wanting to root for all the characters at times, despite what their motives might be. The stories and characters enter your heart, and you’ll find that you have a difficult time letting them go once you close the book.

Alpha is the conclusion to The Infinity Division series. Every book has followed different characters but they've all help one thing in common, Dylan. Dylan is the brother of one of the main characters and he kind of goes off the deep end when his fiance dies. He uses his world's technology to jump to various dimensions wrecking havoc, killing people he feels are responsible for everything bad in his life, and searching for his fiance, Ava, in the other dimensions. Alpha is sort of his story.

I say sort of because in the last book we met two people who had been held captive, as lab rats, for a high-tech company. One of the captives was G, which was that dimension's Dylan, and Sera, who was technically Ava. When Dylan spots Sera, he immediately latches onto her, both literally and figuratively as his chance of finding happiness. So, while this story is technically about Sera and G finding their happily ever after, we do see a lot more of Dylan than we've ever seen in previous books.

There's a lot that goes on in this book between finding out who G and Sera were before their time in captivity, running away from the people who run said lab, trying to outmaneuver Dylan, and find a way to not only survive but live a happy life. While there is a lot that goes on in this story, I found myself rather bored with it all. There were parts that would grab my attention, but then I'd just end up skimming again. Maybe it had to do with the fact that they kept skipping between dimensions and you could never get a grasp on what was happening. It could have been the fact that anytime a problem arose, there was an instant solution to it. I just never fully got into the story and found myself struggling to finish it.

I thought this series had a fresh spin on young love. I really enjoyed that these characters found their one true match in another dimension. The author even added in a dash of suspense with it all. However, in the end, I found myself struggling through it.

So. Mixed feelings about this one.

Sera? Loved her!! She was fierce and didn’t let anyone beat her down. It’s refreshing. She is an inspiration to me - she has confidence in her opinions and isn’t afraid to let you know about it.

G was interesting! Borderline a stereotype but his background drew me in. His character growth blossomed and he turned into a better version of himself as he learnt about selflessness.

I liked Sera and G’s relationship, it worked nicely and didn’t have any eye rolling breakups or unnecessary tears.

Now let’s talk about the narrative. This is a whole other story. The first half of the book was flat and repetitive. I’m sorry Accardo, but to be frank I had to drag myself through it. Having to chase down Dylan AGAIN and make more deals... I was disappointed. We’ve seen that already. We’re over it. This book needed something new to reel me in.

The overall rhythm of the book was weird. It wasn’t flat but it didn’t feel like a proper narrative. It had ups and downs, and SO MANY deals. It didn’t feel like it had a “beginning, middle and end” structure. It was static... and then BOOM! It gets interesting.

BOOM! Everything starts happening at once. Dylan hits that button, G is on borrowed time and the action starts! From this point onward I was engrossed in the story and was glad I sat through the first half of the book.

The ending was satisfying and fitting. The very last chapter with Kori made me tear up a little, I looove Cade’s Cora!! Isn’t she just the sweetest?!

Overall, the first half could be best described as ‘ugh’. The second half got me onboard with this book. In regards to the pace and rhythm between the two halves, they felt like total opposites.

I guess you could say it’s a balance between dark and light?

What a thrilling conclusion to the trilogy! The stakes are higher than ever, Dylan, Sera and G and the rest of the group all are trying to beat time and beat the odds that are going against everyone while Evil Cora is on the loose trying to destroy everything. We dive more into G and Sera's Earth and how they came to be in Infinity and what exactly the Alpha program is. Plus we learn about their pasts, and get to see the interactions with other selves of the people they know. While the group gets separated in the beginning, they're each doing their thing to stop Dylan or Evil Cora, I liked that they all came together in the end and they each did their own thing to help each other out.

I'm glad everyone got their happy ending. And while for some reason I thought that Dylan would also get his happy ending and get his Ava back, I was a little sad that he accepted the fact that he was never gonna get his Ava back, but was glad that he accepted that he would do anything to make Ava and all the other Ava's of the multiverse happy, including Sera, so he redeemed himself in the end, even if he's in prison, at least he did right by his Ava and helped Sera, G, his brother Cade, Noah, Kori, Ash and everyone else defeat Evil Cora and save the multiverse.

While it was sad to see these characters go, it was nice to see that while they each went through a lot of hardships, they all found each other and became a family that surpasses time and alternate universes and they'll stay together and live happily as one huge family.

I really liked how all the characters got their happy ending in this book. They stopped evil Cora once and for all. I loved G and Sera's relationship. She was relentless with G in proving that she wasn't scared of him, despite what evil Cora had done to him for the Alpha project. At the beginning of the book, he was determined to stay away from Sera because he thought he was evil for all of the horrible things he did. He felt guilty for it despite the fact that he was experimented on and brainwashed to become some super solider. His actions weren't his fault. He wasn't himself. G and Sera are another version of Dylan and Ava, except G is a nicer version of Dylan.

The plot was action-packed and fast-paced just like the other books. I enjoyed following Sera and G.'s relationship, but for some reason I didn't feel as connected to them as I had with the other characters in the trilogy. The story was still compelling and I enjoyed the plans the characters came up with to take down evil Cora. I especially liked the reveal that Sera's blood was used to create the serum because up until then, I wasn't sure how she was connected to the Alpha project.

This was a great end to the trilogy. It wrapped up all of the storylines nicely. I really enjoyed both epilogues to the story. I really liked the interaction between Noah and Ash. He's such a typical guy, but such a sweetheart. I think they're my favourite couple in this trilogy, but the trilogy overall is great. I could definitely see myself rereading this trilogy. It was awesome!

Not a bad ending to an otherwise so-so series.

“Alpha” follows the lead of the previous book giving us a duel narrative but this time instead of sharing the lead with one of our mains we get an insight into the minds of Sera and G who are struggling to cope with life post captivity and the revelation that there are multiple versions of themselves and that one of those versions, Dylan is hellbent on getting his happy ending even if it means teaming up with mad scientist Cora and selling out everyone else in the process.

Thank you god that this love story didn’t follow that of the previous two books because I don’t think I could have sat through an entire book where a murderous psychopath got the girl and beyond that I’m glad there were scenes that address Dylan’s actions and how the responsibility for those crimes lies strictly on his shoulders.

It was a bit odd to have two people who are malnourished and suffering the after effects of prolonged torture were given free reign to jump and fight their way past the many obstacles so I don’t know why that was a thing other than following the set up of new characters for each book but it was a weird choice to give them hardly any guidance especially for the skips.

These books definitely got better as they went along but boiled down it’s basically beat by beat the same plot with only names swapped in and out.

Alpha is the third and final book in the Infinity Division series which focuses on three "couples" and a rogue seventh who are "skipping" through multiple universes in order to help right the wrongs of the rogue and other evil players who are either incarnations of themselves or those they're close to.

Alpha was an enjoyable conclusion to the trilogy. While I loved the first book, the second was slower and more like a bridge to this final book with its own romance. I found that the first half of the book moved slower and picked up immensely after that. Since this book had it's own romance, as well as the job of tying the previous two books to it's storyline and conclusion, there was much more going on. Focus on the facts and details was a necessity. When the story picked up in the second half, it was no longer a chore to recount the details from the first two books and follow this one to it's exciting, albeit grittier conclusion. The romance between G and Sera was definitely more emotional and their backstories only amplified it. I felt a deeper connection to G and wanted to see the potential for a beautiful future when all was said and done. The author did a great job in wrapping up the trilogy and then giving a peek into the future with multiple epilogues. Overall, a satisfying conclusion to the lives of all these characters.
