She’s the game changer he wishes he’d never met. Nolan Clark is the last man standing. While he is happy his teammates have found love, he’s even happier to be single. But fate is a funny thing. When a one-night stand turns into a friends with benefits agreement, he starts to question why he’s holding the beautiful Reagan at arm’s length.
He knows she’s dangerous and should end their arrangement but the sex is too good and she is too… much.
He's the regret of a lifetime! Nolan Clark should’ve been off-limits. He’s my closest friend’s teammate and a man that I’m not prepared for. I lied and told him I understood he’d never offer me a white picket fence and jumped straight into bed when he offered me the only thing he could sex.
With every smile, every touch, and every sizzling kiss I fall deeper in love. When the day comes for me to move five-hundred miles away to start a new job, he doesn’t stop me. Days pass, then weeks, and Nolan Clark does exactly what he said he was going to do – loses my number.
With Reagan gone to start her new life in Florida, Clark is left in Georgia at war with his heart. The timing couldn’t be worse. The past he thought he’d let go of, the ex-wife he’d thought he forgave crashes into his life brings with her an eleven-year-old boy he never knew existed.
When Reagan stumbles onto some information she shouldn’t, and her life is threatened, will Clark, and the 707 get there in time to save her? Or will she die alone and broken-hearted in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico?
Riley Edwards is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling author, wife, and military mom. Riley was born and raised in Los Angeles but now resides on the east coast with her fantastic husband and children.
Riley writes heart-stopping romance with sexy alpha heroes and even stronger heroines. Riley's favorite genres to write are romantic suspense and military romance.
Once in a while, I crave a romance book that is cheesy and sappy. Where I can just read without too much thingking. And Freedom delivers that. While doing my errand, I listened to the audiobook.
The story is full of sappy, cheesy plot. Every twist and plot resolved very quickly without any drama. Every characters seem to have perfect life. So perfect that life is just grand.
I have been following Miss Riley's work. I sometimes read her instead of Susan Stoker's books. For some variation.
I absolutely loved every single book in this series, but Clark will always have a special place in my heart!! Throughout the series we have been given a glimpse into Clark and the way his mind works, now we are given an in to Clark's heart, and boy does this man have a big damn heart!!! When this man falls he falls hard. A perfect way to end this series and I am super excited to see what is next from this author!!
I wasn't sure about this one at the start, Clark was a dick to Reagan who didn't deserve it. I'm glad that it didn't last long and Reagan's open ways helped Clark see that all women weren't like his ex. And man...what a POS she was. She proved it with one phone call that changed Clark's life. This had the potential of turning into a shit short, instead things worked out in the best way the could, adding to things instead of taking away.
The drama with Reagan at the end was harrowing! I can't even imagine being in a situation like that! I'm glad that Clark and the guys made it in time to save Reagan.
I really loved the epilogue, loved the 2 different glimpses into the future we got, but that last conversation between Clark and Nick was great!
Awww.... I really loved this one!! 🤩🤩 Great wrap up to the series and boy was Reagan hilarious! Loved her personality. The mystery part of the story was WILD. Different in a good way. Clark was really cool and this couple was definitely one of my favorites from the series.
Loved these quick reads even though I did skip over book three. 😆 Oh well. Onto more Riley Edwards! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Freedom: A Black Ops Romance: The 707 Freedom Series Book 4 is by Riley Edwards. This is the final book in this particular series. The next series is about the children of this Team. This book pulls all the team members into the fold with love interests for all of them and children for most of them. Reagan was surprised to see an unattached, gorgeous male enter Jasper’s home. She had come down from Montana to visit Jasper and Emily on her way to live in Florida. Reagan, her sister, and Jasper had grown up together. Liz and Jasper were friends with benefits. She had died giving birth to a still born girl; but Reagan and Jasper were still friends. She was attracted to Nolan; but knew she was leaving in a couple of weeks. Nolan Clarke was the final member of the team not to have a permanent girlfriend. His reason for not trusting women was definitely reasonable. He had been on assignment in Afghanistan for nearly six months and was anxious to get home. He had felt uneasy on this entire mission. When he got home, he found his wife in bed with another man- his own brother! Of course, they got into a verbal fight and Nick walked away. The next thing they knew, Nick was flying n a mission and his helo went down. Clarke was disturbed at not making up with Nick. He divorced Stephanie and has gone by and now she is back.
Reagan was an amazing heroine. She almost didn't connect her mouth to her brain and spoke about anything without filtering her words. Clark was a sweet guy (although he will never admit it) who didn't believe he could love and be loved. He didn't trust anyone would love him for the long run. Again, the "no strings attached" deal between MC's at the beginning of a book is what I absolutely hate. I really can't stand it which is why this book is a 4 stars.
It's by far my favorite in the series! I adore Ray and get inability to hold in any of her thoughts and her internal arguments after saying her honest thoughts. The book is the typical military romance novel, but I found myself laughing out loud so much throughout. I feel in love with all the characters throughout the series, but this one was just amazing. I listened to the whole series in just a few days and enjoyed all the books.
Clarke who had a cheating ex wife that slept with his brother and swears off love…. falls in love with Reagan who just so happens to be a child good friend of Jasper and the sister of his high school sweetheart that passed.
A shorter black ops romance which was just as beautiful as the others. A good story line and characters but it was his nephew that made my heart all mushyyy!!😭🥰
The ending had an epilogue far into the future and I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT😭
Reagan went to go visit Emily and Jasper before heading to her new job. Clark the last single guy in their special forces soldiers group, was definitely not looking for love. I feel in love with Reagan and Clark. I love his tough protective side and how he can’t seem to help but let Reagan in. And I love Reagan’s bluntness, how she says whatever is on her mind. They definitely did not have an easy road and it threw me some surprises, but I am so glad I found this story. Again the narrators on the audio were amazing! I highly recommend the book and the audio.
First and foremost, these four books in "The 707 Freedom Series, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! First, yeah Army, as a military widow of Retired Special Forces and Ranger, as well as Military Intelligence, I am so thrilled Mrs. Edwards to read about the Army! While what now the military calls, fraternities, yes I was totally offended and heartbroken when these ACHIEVEMENTS, were considered, fraternities, and were not Inscribed on my husband's marble headstone.
It's wonderful that as an Army wife you write about the men and women who serve, without the media labels.
Most importantly, all four books were realistic, down to earth, and in no way enhanced. You have a terrific handle on human nature, reflected in all the characters, not just the main, (I adored Adam and Anthony), and bring the narrative to life, in a way few authors are able!
While each story had a happy ending, or beginning, having been blessed for only 9 years with my own Alpha man, the stories were as curvy as our relationship. Nothing brings it home more, than true representation of human nature.
While, each story had it's own contentions, or problems, if you prefer, you can overcome anything with love. Nothing illustrated this more than the 4th book in the series.
You made my day! I look forward to Nick's story, as well as, all the cousins'!
Please read, these four books were completely worth every moment! Karen
Audio Book Review Black Ops Romance Off limits, Age Gap, Innocence Narrators the amazing Troy Duran as Nolan Clark and CJ Bloom as Reagan. Both brilliant. She is also one of his team member's best friends. Reagan knows Clark should be off limits but he's experienced, he's hot and she can't resist. When these two have a one night stand things begin to get a little bit blurry. I love a black ops romance and those of you that follow and know me, are aware this is my ever favorite trope. This book like all Riley Edward's books is fast paced, it does have a lot of spice however, I am pleased to say it does not overwhelm the plot nor do we lose sight that there is always an underlying black ops situation going on. She is the experte of Black ops and romance books, I'd go as far as saying she is The Queen of this mixed genre. It is an age gap romance with an inexperienced FMC which I do struggle with, however, in this book it didn't creep me out as much as it does with other books I've read. Reagan is the perfect girl next door and likeable, she's sweet and has total empathy and kindness. Clark is arrogant but his soft side comes out with regard to her and his over protectiveness. I loved his laid back couldn't care less attitude and really enjoyed how his attraction to Reagan put him totally off balance. Fantastic to see a hero being a normal guy. I absolutely love the series by Riley and can highly recommend any of her books.
The final book in the OG 707 series! It makes me so sad but also I’m hype for their kids books. I just love having that connection with the characters, it feels like I already know they even before I’ve read their book.
But anyways this book was about Clark and Reagan. Clark is the more antisocial and loner of the group, mostly sticking to himself. Then we have Reagan who is Liz’s sister. Yeah the same Liz who Jasper got pregnant and caused all of his issues. But everyone’s moved on and there’s no bad blood.
Clark and Reagan instantly feel an attraction to each other when they first meet. But Clark’s the anti commitment type so he doesn’t want anything real while Reagan doesn’t do no strings or hookups. But Reagan realizes he’s the one for her and takes whatever he’ll give her which ends up with they being a friends with benefits type thing for a couple months. During this time Clark falls hard and fast but like most of the 707, he doesn’t feel worthy for the girl. He even denies himself so much that he lets Reagan move away to Florida.
During her time away both of them are miserable but Reagan is scared he doesn’t care about her the same amount she cares for him while Clark is scared of his feeling for her because they are just that strong. But danger heads twords Reagan when the internship she was taking turns out it was an illegal organ market. Coincidentally, the 707 were working on the same case and while on a phone call to Reagan, Blake realizes Regan’s in danger and alerts the others.
Clark is probably the most protective out of them all and he goes absolutely crazy cuz he can’t find her. But when he does, shtuff hits the fan.
Clark and Reagan had a cool dynamic with Reagan almost bringing the life back into Clark who really was just surviving.
Can’t wait to review the kids books!!!

Heartbreak and Redemption: A Gripping Conclusion to a Riveting Series
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥
Freedom by Riley Edwards delivers a knockout punch in this final installment of the series. As a veteran reader of Edwards' work, this journey has been nothing short of emotional turmoil, and yet, I keep coming back for more.
From the very first page, Edwards has a way of plunging her readers into a whirlwind of emotions, and Freedom is no exception. My heart ached, shattered, and soared alongside the characters as they navigated through their tumultuous journey.
Reagan and Nolan's story is one of second chances and undeniable chemistry. Their friends-with-benefits arrangement quickly evolves into something deeper, despite Nolan's reservations. Edwards masterfully crafts their relationship with a perfect blend of angst, passion, and vulnerability.
The dual POVs offer a profound insight into the characters' minds, making their struggles and triumphs feel all the more authentic. As Reagan moves away to start anew, the ache of separation is palpable, and Nolan's internal conflict becomes a gripping focal point of the narrative.
But amidst the romance, Edwards seamlessly weaves in suspense and mystery, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat until the very end. The epilogue not only ties up loose ends but also hints at exciting possibilities for future spin-off series, leaving me eagerly anticipating what's to come.
In conclusion, Freedom is a fast-paced, emotionally charged conclusion to the 707 Freedom series. Riley Edwards has once again proven her prowess in delivering captivating romance with just the right amount of heat and intrigue. This book is an absolute must-read for fans of second chance romance and suspense alike.
This is the fourth and final book in the 707 series. It can be read as a standalone, but I recommend starting at the beginning of the series as each book builds upon the previous one. We’ve seen Clark throughout the other 707 books, but we’ve never really gotten to know him. Well get ready to strap in for the long haul because Mrs. Edwards is going to take you on one heck of an emotional roller coaster ride with Clark’s story and you will love every minute of it!
Clark can’t promise Reagan forever and Reagan agrees as she’s moving to Florida in a few short weeks. That doesn’t keep them from falling for each other, even if they won’t say it out loud. Reagan is a breath of fresh air compared to the hellish life Clark had been living for the last eleven years. His life was ruined by his ex-wife and disloyal twin brother. After years of no contact from his ex-wife, Clark finds himself face to face with the woman and has a major life decision to make. Reagan sticks by his side throughout all of his decisions until it’s time for her to move. Then just like that, Reagan is gone - up and out of Clark’s arms to start a new life in Florida. The pain of separation is crushing for the two, but Clark continues to remind himself what they agreed to - fun not forever. Clark throws himself into his work as does Reagan, but when Reagan starts to dig deeper into her new employer - will Clark and Reagan cross paths again? And this time, will Clark be able to keep Reagan forever?
OMG!! What a crazy, edge of your seat, heart stopping, swoonworthy romance!! My heart was still pounding for hours after reading it. Freedom was the final book in Riley’s 707 Freedom Series and she sure ended it with a bang!!
Nolan (Clark) was the only single guy left of the 707 and he was completely fine with that. He had done the marriage thing and was happy to never do it again. But when Reagan walked into his life, would she be the one to turn his life upside down?
Reagan knew their relationship had an expiration date but her heart didn’t listen. When it was time for her to move on, she was devastated that he didn’t ask her to stay. She tried to distract herself with her new job but when she landed herself in serious trouble, could she count on Nolan to rescue her or would she die alone?
Wow, not only did it have heart pounding action, it had heart lifting love! Nolan and Reagan were perfect for each other ❤️ I thoroughly enjoyed this entire series and the epilogue was beyond perfect. It wrapped up the series and gets you hooked for the next one! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for this “family”!
Nolan Clark was convinced he would never fall for a woman again after walking in on his brother and his ex-wife 11 years ago. He had watched his three best friends find their matches and helped each of them in their quests. But he wasn’t expecting Reagan to flip his life on its head in a matter of moments. Reagan was honest in every word she uttered, and that changed everything for Clark. He never questioned if she was playing games or hiding anything from him. Reagan and Clark start a friends-with-benefits relationship because she’s supposed to leave in two weeks and Clark doesn’t think he can give her more than that. When his ex suddenly drops another bomb revelation on him, Reagan doesn’t hesitate to give him her strength and help him through it. But Clark doesn’t ask her to stay or tell her how he’s feeling, so she leaves, and that almost cost him everything. Clark races to save Reagan and hopes he’ll get a chance to right the biggest regret he’s ever had. This was a good end to this series. It also included a good lead-in for the Next Generation series in the epilogue.
I love this series and whilst for me Jasper will forever be my main BBf, I don’t think there could have been a better conclusion for these characters.
Saving the best for last, Reagan and Nolan are just the couple you are most likely to want to be.
Just truly honest in who they are, Reagan can’t hide her fears and insecurities and is herself despite this. I adore her fun, playful side and how that is a complete 180 to Nolan. They do truly complement each other. Nolan is Mr Serious. Having been burnt in the past, and the consequences that brought, Nolan doesn’t do relationships and is laser focused on his job.
A rollercoaster story this book is one thing, then suddenly Nick enters the fray and boom. Then Reagan follows the rules Nolan set out and away we go in yet another direction.
Steamy in all the best ways, this story wraps up the series nicely yet opens up this world to new opportunities.
The prequel series to Next Generation, this is where it all begins.
The final installment of the 707 series and this was everything I needed and more! This time Nolan Clarke and Reagan had a one night stand that was always going to become friends with benefits and if the truth be told more than that if the two could get themselves together. Reagan it turns out had a job meaning she was moving away. The expiration date was always set. Clarke was the last of the 707 who hadn't found their person but when he finds out his brother who had died in combat had a child with his ex, the nephew Nick arriving in Clarkes life meant his plans took a different course. Reagan kept her views to herself and just did what she had to survive and then she stumbles into danger in her new job by uncovering something top secret that puts her life in danger.
Will the 707 crew be able to get to her? Will they be too late? Well what I will say is the ending of the book sets up another series called the Next Generation where Nick is now an FBI agent so even when I think I have finished this series I know I'm going to get invested into the next one. This series was so good!
There’s one last man from this 707 crew standing and he swears he is not going to give his heart away again. Not after what his ex and little brother did. Little did Clark know he couldn’t resist the shy, naïve Reagan.
This book was my favorite of the series. I’m not sure what it was but I just loved Clark throughout the series and I was happy we finally got his story. It’s funny how he was always helping his friends a long giving advice and now he’s the one needing it.
Reagan and Clark have this connection that is just so sweet. Especially since Reagan is a hoot and has no filter. They have a slow sweet burn romance filled with angst and suspense and illegal doings. Clark gets a surprise call and his world flips upside down. But man that man took it with stride and I loved how open and free he was with Nick.
I can’t say it enough Troy Duran and CJ Bloom did an amazing job bringing all these 707 characters to life. Clark and Reagan was no exception.
The ending to this series was perfect and I am obsessed with these characters. Now we get to dive into the second generation and I am here for it.
This is the fourth book in the 707 Freedom Series. You can read it as a stand alone, but the other books are great also. So you will want to read the rest if you start here first.
Carter is the last one to fall. We've learned some of his past with his ex-wife in the previous books, but we get all the details in this one. We may also meet her. Let me tell you, she's a piece of work. I wanted to beat her!
Reagan was in Jasper's book for about a chapter. She is Liz's younger sister. She is so much fun. No filter, she says whatever pops into her head. She's also 10 years younger than Clark.
What was supposed to be 2 weeks of orgasms and nothing else, turned into so much more. Except with these guys, you know they have to take the hard way to get there.
I felt bad for what Rea went through, it was horrible.
OMG! Another FANTASTIC story! This was the last man standing in this series - Nolan Clark! His wife screwed him over good with his brother. Nolan didn't think he could love anyone else. Along come Reagan! She is a hoot. Her mind let's get mouth day what she is feeling, even when it embarrasses her. The majority of the story is revolved around these two pussyfooting around each other even though they fell in love with each other. The ending chapters were very intense with Reagan being kidnapped and almost killed. The guys do managed to save her but not before she loses a kidney and part of her liver. Also, Nolan finds out he has a nephew 11 years later and takes him in. I am happy that these two finally told each other they love each other and started working on their happily ever after. FANTASTIC job Riley! I would recommend this book.
Another gripping book from Riley Edwards! This is the last of the 707 Freedom Series but not the last we will know about the team. Clark now gets his chance at true love with Reagan. There is so much in this book to keep you turning the pages that it will keep you reading straight through. Nolan Clark instantly feel a connection when he meets Reagan, but he is a man of no more commitments. He eventually finds he does love her and need her but he has sent her on her way and now isn't sure he can get her back. When she is kidnapped by a very terrifying man he may never see her again if the team can't get to her in time. Even if they get to her still alive, will she be whole and make it through what was planned for her? Scary that something like this could happen in real life!!!
It took time for Reagan to forgive Jasper, a childhood friend, after her sister and Jasper’s child during childbirth. But she’s in a new place and Jasper’s more than willing to share his friends and new life with Reagan. When Nolan Clark walks into his friend Jasper’s house and glances at Reagan, he wonders where and why she’s been hiding. Just as Nolan convinces himself thins can work with Reagan, ex reappears with a secret she’s been holding onto.
My least favorite of the series, someone wasn’t paying attention to what’s been explained so the stories don’t match; the Nolan, Reagan thing skims the skeevy border (36/22; 30/16; 24/10 each pair adult/not sufficiently mature), plus so much time and effort was spent on trying to build this romance, not much was spent on a plot as I haven’t found it yet. Rating: 3.25stars
I loved this story and it was only enhanced more by the narrators ability to portray the characters of Reagan and Clarke so well.
I really felt Reagan’s initial nativity and innocence, and blushed along with her at her ability to say the wrong thing constantly, how she struggled to understand her place in the group of friends initially and then how she slowly but surely fell for Clarke.
Clarke’s feelings about not only wanting, but then falling for Reagan, coping with the surprise his ex bestowed on him and sorting through his feelings about this were depicted so well.
The end was so dramatic and thrilling, I really found myself holding my breath at times!
I definitely love the dual narration aspect of this book and definitely recommend it as a listen.
I've loved Clark since book one and his story was the perfect ending to the series. The love and loyalty he has for his family is heart warming.
It took me a minute to warm up to Reagan because she didn't start off as strong and independent as the main female characters in the previous books of the series. However, she eventually found her confidence and won me over.
Together Clark and Reagan made a great pair with spicy chemistry.
Its so hard to say goodbye to the 707. This series has held me captive for the last week. Once I started the first book I couldn't get enough and I was up late nights devouring the series. I cannot wait to get started on the next generation.
