I thought it was very informative if you know nothing about why to consume bone broth. it's more of an expanded magazine article than a book. I was given it as an aid to nutrition from a health consultant at a store that also sells his product, so I agree with the other review. but it's still good info and DOES include recipes that use bone broth and his powder. there IS also a description of how to make regular bone broth - but you can get that online easily.

Not a recipe book for bone broth.

This book is a commercial for the bone broth powder they sell. Very basic information on the amino acids found in bone broth.

I enjoy Dr Axe's health and nutrition information however this book was just "meh"... Very little information on health benefits of bone broth and how to make you own. It was mostly geared to promoting his bone broth protein powder and all the recipes were for cooking with his product.

Free on Kindle

I'm 84 and recently upped my protein intake and found it very helpful in improving my heart health. I wanted a good quality protein powder. And I'm happy this book was free to read on Kindle.

Bone broth

I like Dr Axe. Good explanations and reports of how well broth has helped individuals. He breaks down the amino acids and tells which ones help improve what particular area(s). Really appreciate the recipes and I plan to try some of them. It really is a variety of recipes.

This was a tidy little book and informative on the topic of different types of bone broth and how each can give different benefits and uses depending on which bones (from different animals) you use - I didn’t know this and learned some good points as I used to assume they were all pretty much the same...

Decided not to read it after reading a review that explained the book did not contain recipes for bone broth just recipes using his powdered bone broth.

Interesting argument regarding bone broth’s ability to give the body a natural source of glucosamine, a supplement I have to take every day due to a twenty-year-old knee injury. Definitely interested in trying.

Book also offers different meals plans and recipes to support bone broth; however, it’s not Paleo oriented

Very interesting reading about old dietary traditions that have seemingly died out, or - at least - are less well known. There are many claims in the book about better gut health and immune system health with the disclaimer that the statements “have not been evaluated by the US Food & Drug Administration” so I would need to try the products and monitor any change. There are - as you would expect - plenty of recipes to try, along with a few short sprint challenges that suggest results in as little as 3-days, so it’s not a big investment to try and incorporate into a balanced diet and/or as a supplement to a healthy diet
