Jack borrowed this book from the Oxford Public Library, as part of our quest to read all the Sandra Boynton books.

He especially likes Pookie, because she is a pig and I make the snorting noise, so this book was an easy win. I got it out a little while after reading the OG Little Pookie book, and at first, he wanted to read it by himself. After a bit, he let me read it while he looked at other books, and finally, he came over and paid attention. I even got a hug at the end, just like Pookie's mom. #winning

This is a very sweet little book which would most likely be read within the home rather than in a classroom. It outlines a mother's love for her child. Many children could find this book relatable especially since the mother pig has a cute little nickname for her baby pig. It is a good short book about unconditional love.
