Confirmed: Tamaki and Kirishima are angels that must be protected at all costs.

[Valeria Laurino]

I loved that we got the backstories of minor characters like Suneater and Kirishima. Deku was hardly present in this volume, which is interesting. Instead, we got to see the awesome Kirishima in action. I really enjoyed it.

Honestly, this is one of the best shounen mangas I've read so far. It reminds me of the glory days of Fairy Tail, before it got repetitive and overloaded with fan service. All the characters are special in their own way, I haven't felt like any of them are stereotypes, and they all have their depth and complexity. It has all the tropes of Shounen, but it uses them in the best way.

Imposible no sentirme representado e interpelado.

things i loved and will always cherish in my heart:

- tamaki and mirio's friendship
- tamaki's backstory
- kirishima's backstory
- kirishima's SOLO ARC that he deserves so much i'm the happiest mother in this universe
- kirishima growth from believing he's worthless to become appreciated even by his enemies and proving he's going to be an amazing hero
- kirishima
- k i r i s h i m a.

[Bradley]

Deep in the underground facility, the battles are raging strong. The real spotlight goes to Red Riot, however. A true manly man! ;)

I really appreciate this volume, loads of good battles and u get to see so many people's quirks in action!

[Juho Pohjalainen]

I like these villains - interesting, quirky, and you can see where they're coming from even if you don't condone their actions. I wish we'd get to see more of them after this arc is done. Alas.

[Toby]

red riot you'll always be loved

[Maru]

Kirishima, my beautiful child.

Amajiki and Kirishima BODIED this volume. This raid is so awesome but particularly loved having these two guys take the spotlight for a bit because I love them both!!

[Lashaan Balasingam]

This was fantastic! It is one of those rare volumes where the main character is put aside to focus on other secondary characters, and it turned out to be brilliantly executed.

Eijiro Kirishima’s character is the one that got the best focus and I loved how much development goes on around him.

The story also reveals a lot of the villains’ plan and where it’s all headed. I like the structure of these stories and how fun it is to follow everything.

Rate:5/5

We hit the ground running from the very start and there was so much action, twists and turns, all of it so very exciting and nail biting! The action is amazingly drawn along with the characters’ emotions as always, but it was just so much more noticeable in this volume, especially with Kirishima and Tamaki’s backstories woven in at just the right moments to enhance their fights and the motivations driving them.

I am still freaked out by Toga though, what a disturbing person. *shudder* So glad she didn’t permanently harm Deku or Eraser Head though I dread her popping back into the fight in the next volume.

Things left on a cliffhanger which normally wouldn’t be bad except that the next few volumes are checked out at my library so now I have to wait, gah! I hate waiting when things are heating up like this! Unfortunately I have no choice but to wait, lol. Eagerly looking forward to the next volume!

Jo vari būt drošs, ka kriminālās pasaules ļaundari darīs to pašu.

Class 1-A and the supers commence their rescue mission and ambush on the League of Villains and their Yakuza member, and it’s a face off with full of serious tension and action that’s only the buildup. A (100%/Outstanding)

[Reese]

Tamaki and Kirishima are some of my favorites so this is great!

Though I can 100% see why I don’t read battle shonen often. I’m always more invested in the backstories or interactions lol

[oscar⭒]

Surely it was an entertaining read. But the battle arc really bores me. 2stars just for the towson Kirishima, which is my favorite character along Bakugo.

[Matthew Ward]

Awesome volume focusing on a lot of action, but what I enjoyed even more than that was the character development for Tamaki and Kirishima! I love when Horikoshi dives deeper into the characters in his universe!

[mai]

KIRISHIMAAAA He's so cool!!!

[Fina {A World of Endless Pages Book Reviews}]

Read the entire volume right after I woke up this morning. This is such a great one: Suneater's moment in the spotlight and Kirishima's backstory, plus the action gearing up towards the final fight. Just overall awesome.
