When Tess Iverson’s husband vanishes one morning, she is left to pick up the pieces. After many years, a mysterious letter arrives in the mail, renewing lost hope. It leaves Tess with a desperate search for answers. Andrew Iverson is being held against his will with no idea why. After years of captivity, he begins to lose hope of rescue and wonders if he will ever make it out alive. Secrets and truths surrounding his disappearance unravel. Tess and Andrew find themselves in an emotional tailspin neither could have seen coming.
This story is well written and compelling. I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys mystery and drama with character driven storylines. This will tear at your heartstrings in several instances and keep your mind working to figure out what could possibly happen next!
The action in this story starts from the very beginning and doesn’t let up until the end. I was able to figure out who the abductor was early on, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying it. I deducted one star because there were some things that didn’t quite add up to me, and I also feel the ending was somewhat rushed, but overall I enjoyed “It’s Never Water Under the Bridge”.
This is a great psychological thriller. For Tess Iverson life is about to get very strange. Her husband Andrew is missing and it takes years before the strange disappearance and circumstances are beginning to come to light. The author does a great job with a suspense filled novel with a few quirky twists that keep readers glued to the pages. I like the author's writing style which draws readers in and doesn't let them go and even after that last page is turned, he story sticks in your mind.

Thriller is one of my favorite genres to read because of the constant suspense and twists and turns. It’s Never Water Under the Bridge leaves the reader full of questions as soon as we are immersed into Tess and Andrew’s world. Tess is left to pick up the pieces of her life after her husband, Andrew, goes mysteriously missing one day. When she begins to get clues in the mail about his disappearance, she becomes determined to find the truth of what happened to him.
Though I did guess who the bad guy was early in the story, I love the way the author created suspense with the alternating POVs between Tess and Andrew. I felt as if I saw the entire story this way and it also made the final scene a lot more suspenseful!
I like book because writing style is capitvating. The start of book I liked the two views but wanted more of Andrew view. Half way through Tess's sections were force and disappointing. The end was a let down. As a hole I enjoyed the book lots as has strong characters and a few twist.
One of my favorite things when reading a book is when the author devotes one chapter to one person’s viewpoint. In It’s Never Water Under the Bridge by Rianne Moss, that is exactly what I am talking about. The first chapter starts with you getting to know Tess whose husband, Andrew, has been missing for 5 years. Tess and their daughter, Hannah, don’t know what happened to him or if he is even alive. However, you the reader find out when you read chapter 2 where you find out that Andrew is alive but being held captive in a basement.
Throughout the book you volley back and forth where one chapter you are hanging out with Tess and seeing how her and Hannah are dealing without Andrew in their lives and the next chapter you are witness to Andrew and his torture. I really enjoy this technique writer’s use … it makes you feel like you are really reading 2 different stories even though it is only viewpoints of the characters.
There is a lot that can be said about It’s Never Water Under the Bridge but by doing so it will take some of the nail-bitting, sitting on the edge of year seat, glued to the pages excitement.
It will amaze and frighten you when you see how one person can wreck havoc on people and when you finally find out the reasoning behind it, it will blow your mind !!! For one person to be so consumed over another person makes you wonder about commitment….in a bad way. But then on the other hand, you also witness the love and devotion between a husband and wife and you will long for that relationship.
I will leave you with this…… I highly recommend reading It’s Never Water Under the Bridge but make sure the doors are locked and you have a few lights on……because this story is going to take your breath away !!!
This is an intense, emotional, psychological thriller that had be sitting on the edge of my seat as I was flipping those pages feverishly wondering what was going to happen next and to whom! This story is told from different characters POV which is a necessity for this story to work well. The author took me through a web of scenes and situations that the characters rarely fully understood the reasons behind. I could not help but to be completely absorbed and transfixed on this book till the very end. This is the second book I have had the privilege to read by this author and I hope it won’t be the last, this author’s imagination and skill at developing a plot is amazing! Plot wise, It's Never Water Under the Bridge is straightforward. We open on Tess Iverson receiving a strange note related to her husband's disappearance some five years prior. She gets in contact with the police while we see Andrew in his prison, held captive by three men who won't answer any of his questions or give any reason for why they've kidnapped and tortured him all this time. The story follows the two as they each search for answers and try to make sense of this tragic event.
I obtained this free e-book from Amazon and I am voluntarily writing a review. This is a brutally dark read so be forewarned. Andrew is kidnapped and held captive on his third wedding anniversary. He is held captive, beaten and emotionally destroyed for five years. Tess is Andrews wife. She kisses him good bye before he lives for work never to hear from him again not knowing if he is dead or alive. She never gives up hope of being reunited. This book has some serious editing and grammar issues that are hard to overlook.
I love psychological thrillers, they keep you interested in the story and on the edge of your seat. I really enjoyed the alternating POVs between Andrew and Tess, it helped build the characters and their journey through the story. It took a little while to get used to the flashbacks within the alternating POVs but the storyline engaged me enough to make it work. I would definitely recommend this novel to lovers of this genre.
This was an interesting read, not my normal but the blurb pulled me and I can’t say I didn’t enjoy it, it was pretty obvious where this was going very early on, the reasoning was a little confusing to be honest, and the epilogue could’ve been a little more considering how long the story played out it would’ve be nice to have a little more of an update at the end instead of how rushed it felt, but overall a good read.
This book had me hooked from the first page right through to the last page. I couldn't put it down!! The story is told from both Tessa and Andrew's POV (which I love) there was no slow build up in this book. It started with a bang and didn't stop. I dont want to give anything away so I will just say its A read that will have your heart racing and worth every second!
this book is a psychological thriller which I normally don't read. However, that said I found this story to be extremely powerful and captivating. I think the flashbacks and change in POV were done beautifully which are becoming more common in books now I read. The story itself is exciting with each page turn and I find I was pleasantly surprised and happy I choose this book.
Debut book? Wow, an excellent debut it is. This book grabbed my attention from the early pages and kept me glued to the pages. I loved the characters in this story and I enjoyed the way the author presented them. Incredible story and I believe this author is bound for greatness in future stories.

This book holds the reader's until the end. The real reasons for the kidnapping are truly the best kept secret. There are twists and turns leading to the ending. It was definitely worth reading.
This story is this author’s debut book. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more from her. Wow what Tess and Andrew went through at the hands of a madman, very suspenseful tale. I enjoyed this story and definitely recommend it.
I had this one a while good choice to finally read it . It was a but slow at times and some things were said over again to many times, but it was a good read short chapters a little suspense great plot. Worth it to give it a go.
This debut author has great potential. The plot had a good premise, and with a little polish could be amazing. I look forward to seeing what she comes up with in the future.
'It's Never Water Under The Bridge' by Rianne Moss ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 Finished on October 6, 2016 GIVEN FREE COPY IN EXCHANGE FOR HONEST REVIEW. FREE on Kindle Unlimited | $3.99 on Kindle | $11.00 in Paperback
Tess Iverson's husband disappears out of the blue on their anniversary with no leads. For five years, she searches for answers, and pretty much everyone, even their daughter, has pretty much given up hope they'll ever find hide or hair of him. Her only friend in the world is Andrew's best friend from high school whom she reconnected with after his disappearance, Freddy. He's helped her pick up the pieces, and just when she thinks she might be able to move on, a mysterious letter arrives in the mail that gives her hope that Andrew might still be alive out there somewhere.
Andrew has been held captive for five years, and he has no idea why. He has no idea who took him. He's barely holding onto hope, that he'll ever get away, until a fateful day when the pieces start to come together.
Tess and Andrew need answers. Why have their lives, and the lives of others, been so ripped apart? What did they ever do to deserve something like this?
I read this book as part of my #yearofindiewomen. I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book was more of a 3.5 stars for me.
I liked the alternating POVs between Tess and Andrew. I think it was the perfect way to tell this story. It worked extremely well, and Moss did an excellent job juggling between the two.
Overall, I think the story is pretty solid. I liked the concept, and I hadn't ever really read something like this before. Without spoiling anything here, I will just say that I didn't really "get" the motivation behind it all. I mean, I "get" it. I'm not stupid, but it seemed a little weak to me, but I suppose people do extreme things for crazy reasons all the time.
Tess and Andrew are great characters. Really well fleshed out. I particularly liked how Moss handled Andrew's connection with his daughter. It felt real and true to life.
The reason I couldn't bring this book up to four or more stars was that I kept catching errors in the manuscript. It needs at least one more run through with editing. As an indie author myself, I understand and sympathize with little errors here and there, but there comes a point when you can't overlook it.
Once this book has another read through and round of editing, it will be ace. Rianne Moss is doing good stuff.
