The Four Gospels are Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John from the Holy Bible, Hoehn Version. Editor: Frederick Hoehn. The majority of the words of Jesus are recorded in the Four Gospels, although Revelation has additional words of Jesus.
The Gospels tell the story of Jesus' life on earth, and his teachings. Jesus talks about heaven and hell, and how to avoid hell. He preaches the "Sermon on the Mount," (Matt chapt 5-7).
Jesus dies on the cross and is raised from the dead on the third day.
Books can be attributed to "Anonymous" for several reasons:
* They are officially published under that name * They are traditional stories not attributed to a specific author * They are religious texts not generally attributed to a specific author
Books whose authorship is merely uncertain should be attributed to Unknown.
(for logging purposes i have been reading a chapter or two a day and am going to end up going through the whole thing four or so times this year, already almost through twice)
NKJV is just excellent. A joy and pleasure to go through the gospels one last time before 2025 and to hear that Familiar Voice calling out to me again.
