Even though this book was published ten years ago, it offers a lot of great insights into all aspects of the life of "Select" students. After doing extensive surveys on students from 20 top colleges and universities in the United States, Howard R. Greene, who was the former college counselor and admission dean at Princeton, adeptly analyzed the result. He also provided his own opinions and advice through his profession perspective. By readin his book, I have learned many shocking facts such as the unbearable financial burdens and the prevalent academic and social stress that have been going on in the elite colleges. Many studies that were included in the book are surprisingly still true today. The quotes from students of the 20 elite colleges have had a tremendos impact on my perspectives of appyling and attending to one of these colleges. It's an amazing book!
