Feels silly to have to give a rating to the Bible haha. The Shred was awesome!! Greatest thing I learned from reading the whole thing in 30 days is that I CAN find time to commit to getting in the word every single day. Before this, I found it challenging to get even 5 or 10 minutes of reading in on week days, and for some reason treated weekends like they were an opportunity to take a break (?) from reading my Bible. After spending 1-2 hours a day reading/listening to the Word for 30 consecutive days, I know that if I’m really committed to it, I can make the time to study it daily. More excited than ever to go back and re-read books that stood out to me, that I felt confused by, or that I had never read before. Thankful for this experience! Would recommend to everyone!
I love this Bible with its awesome, educational app. You can scan any page in this Bible and dive into more study. The app even has videos. This Bible has wide enough margins to take notes but isn't a huge Bible. This is always my go to Bible. well made.
I love this idea of keeping the Bible clean and having all the content provided digitally. I enjoyed the resources and they were very helpful & engaging.
I love that I read the whole Bible again in the New Living Bible version. I love the resources available with the app—1000s of great resources. This is truly a resource.
This is an excellent version of the the New Living Translation. And IMO this is the best translation in conversational English. If you’ve always wanted to dive into the Bible, but have never got around to it, look no further than this handsome volume! (Or if you’ve tried and failed, this translation will do you a much better go at it!)
I don’t use the digital resources and honestly don’t find them that great. I did see that Nancy Guthrie has some input in them now and then and I do appreciate her content.
I mostly purchased this Bible because it’s a single column layout, and a hardcover, which for Tyndale, may be the only version out there that is both of these.
I will say that I am disappointed Tyndale doesn’t release a nicer single column Bible than this. If I could have my preferred NLT Bible, Tyndale would take a hint from Crossway and start creating beautifully crafted, hardcover, multivolume reader’s editions without distractions like section headings and verse numbers. (- Heck I’d settle for a single volume reader’s edition for that matter.)
