With the support of the school's princesses, Kouno, Shihoudani and Mikoto, the school's athletic teams will move on in their district competitions. If they keep winning like this, the princesses will have to cheer in front of the entire country. That means going outside in their gothic Lolita outfits But before Kouno even has a chance to worry, a girl shows up at school to see him unexpectedly. Could she be the reason why Kouno sometimes has that dark look in his eyes?
Più carino del primo, iniziano a delinearsi alcuni personaggi e mi ha strappato anche qualche risata verso la fine. Gli manca però quel qualcosa in più che mi spinge a proseguire.
Volume 2 really upped the ante in this fun and silly manga. You find out more about the background of the characters so you begin to know why they are who they are. I also loved the side story at the end and the way the author does their note in comic form as well. Very enjoyable if you love the fun, silly, and often outrageous.
3,5 stars. Still fun but a couple of things made this slightly less enjoyable than the first book. Tooru and Yuujirou teasing Mikoto goes on a tad too long (even though it's meant just for laughs), especially when you reflect that on what they reveal about their feelings and families in this volume. Rolled my eyes at the trope-y "no homo" library/cafe scenes too. But to balance the scales, majority of this volume had nice character development and friendship building. The summer holiday at Sakamoto's story was funny. And I do like the art too.
This volume introduces Kouno's backstory and why he's willing to, as Mikoto puts it, compromise his integrity as a man. I think that his relationship with his cousin could have been fascinating, I think that it leaned way too heavily into the 'crazy stalker' trope. And the only reason she calms down is because she decides that it's okay for Kouno to date Shihoudani rather than another woman, despite the fact that Tsuda wants us to believe that Kouno and Shihoudani don't see each other like that.
I liked that the learned a lot about two of our three main characters' pasts. I also enjoyed the side story about Akira and his family. I really want to read Family Complex now. This was a funny, and more serious volume. I had a good time reading it. 4 stars.
I read this in French, so I didn't understand everything. Saw the anime a long time ago, so I was working mostly from memories of that and about 25% of the words on the page.
i don't understand why this goofy series works for me especially considering i don't ship anything but i am not one to turn down pleasure when it is offered to me
