Another JUST outrageous title from the author of the NY Times bestseller THE DAY MY BUTT WENT PSYCHO! The series that made Andy Griffiths an Australian publishing phenomenon is sweeping America!
Before introducing the world to butts gone bad, Andy Griffiths unleashed the bestselling JUST books. The series continues to amuse, annoy, and totally ick out readers with this latest collection of just disgusting stories.

Andy is best known as the author of the much-loved Just! series and The Day My Bum Went Psycho. In 2008 Andy became the first Australian author to win six children’s choice awards in one year for Just Shocking!, smashing his previous record of 4 awards for The Bad Book in 2005.
In 2008 Andy and his wife Jill collaborated with The Bell Shakespeare Company on the popular and critically acclaimed theatrical production Just Macbeth! which was nominated for two Helpmann Awards. Their latest book is The 13-Storey Treehouse (September 2011).
This book covers "A book of short stories" section on the bingo board.
I thought 'JUST DISGUSTING' was a very funny book of quirky short stories about disgusting but hilarious short stories. This could be a perfect book for ages 11 and under. I wasn't too keen on this book as i was a little bit too old for it but i though the clever range of funny stories was a good and well set out. This famous author did really well with the series.
I finally finished the Just series. Yes, I'm aware that there's a 6th book and an upcoming 7th, but I don't think I'll be buying those. From the 5 books that I have, I think that this book is my favorite. It was fast, easy and fun to read. By fun, I mean, the most fun you can get out of a book that's trying to disgust you.
I liked the originality of this book. It wasn't all text. There were drawings and different formats which helped me be determined to finish it, even if I really wasn't feeling it. Each story had its own 'format' which I found to be enjoyable. I liked '101 Really Disgusting Things', 'Brussels Sprouts', 'Go to Bed!', 'Shut Up!' and 'Deadflyella'. Even if I did like 6 stories (which seems to be the average number of stories that I like in each Just book), I thought that this book was the best among all the books.
Andy Griffiths, the author, really outdid himself. Instead of just using Terry Denton's illustrations on the side, he actually incorporated the drawings WITH the stories. They were actual visual aids. The drawings were particularly helpful and enjoyable in '101 Really Disgusting Things', 'Go to Bed', 'Two Brown Blobs' and many more.
This book really entertained me which was quite a shock, since I expected this book to be the least mature out of all the books. I mean, can't you tell from just the cover? But I was wrong. The stories were better than the previous 4 books. Which is why I'm giving this book 4 stars. Even if I am well past the accepted age of enjoying books like these..
Oh my goodness if this wasn't the greatest series written for middle grade kids who want to be endlessly entertained then I don't know what is. These books are the most fantastic, imaginative, gross and wonderful stories, not to mention the illustrations! The book is filled with flip pictures, other smaller stories of cartoons across the pages and it is just SO entertaining. I have never laughed so much reading anything in my life, and despite being about twelve or so when I did read them all, I'm sure they'd still make me laugh just as hard now. Do your kids and yourself a favour and get hold of them all!
I've loved these books since I was 10 years old and I will get the series out every now and again when I need a good laugh or cheering up. Love the little illustrations by Terry Denton and the mini moving pictures in the corner when you flip the pages really fast. I recommend these books to all ages if you're looking for something funny, relatable and engaging to read. These are the only books that have ever made me actually laugh out loud while reading. Andy Griffiths' hilarious stories paired with Terry Denton's outlandish cartoons make it difficult to stop turning pages.
It was totally disgusting. There was a hole inside a sack and there was a mutant chicken inside and there was blood all over inside the schoolbox. And the mutant chicken was dragging its bloody body around going "mama! mama!"...
Love it. The Just! Series by Andy Griffiths always brings be back to my childhood. I will definitely give my future kids these series, so that they can embrace their childhood and do... more disgusting stuff.
this book told me what is very very disgusting and horrible but as i am a boy i love this kind of story an i hope that andy griffons will continue to write more books like this one. =)
It was really just lime another book that I read, Help I'm Being Chased By. Giant Slug. Basically they are the same stories. I figured it out because they had the same contents.
Out of the four Just! books in the series (that I own), Just Disgusting was the most eclectic collection of short stories. Andy and Terry did a great job combining their skills in this one and every story was unlike each other, and it was much different than the other books. It had less words and more illustrations, too, which nicely showcased Terry's talents.
As someone with a weak stomach, this book was absolutely testing my limits because Andy truly knows the most disgusting things that could happen. But I had a lot of fun reading it and rereading his books truly brought out the kid in me. Well done!!
This review is based more on the first three books than this one in particular... When I read the first three "Just" books, I expected them to be fun like Griffiths "The Day My Butt Went Psycho," but they were a bit too zany and unrealistic for me, especially the second one. Personally, they were very hard for me to get into. To be fair, that is the point of this series. I'm sure kids younger me when I read it in middle school would enjoy this series more.
One of my very early childhood books that helped me learn to read.
Even as a child disgusting things were, well, disgusting, and as an adult rereading this particular ‘Just’ book the stories fall a bit flat compared to some of the other books. Some of the stories here (particularly the ‘shut up’ one) just stretched on and on and on and on, without any particularly humorous parts.
Still a good book for kids, with all the extra drawings and flip-animations and the simpler words.
whoever stole my copy of this in year 8 along with my calculator and pencil case, i hope you step on a field of bindis every summer for the rest of your pathetic life.
I Decided to read this book because it looked interesting and funny! I also recognized the author and knew he was quiet good :)This book comes under the short story category on the bingo board!i liked this book because it was very funny and that start of the book had 100 disgusting facts about humans Note : some of them may be a bit over exaggerated do not take the too seriously! I must say i thoroughly enjoyed this book and i can not recall anything i disliked about it! why.. because its a good book :) i would recommend it to more boys than girls aged 11-15 because its just got that guy humor about it e.g zombies and funny yucky stuff :)
This book fits my " A book with a male main character " blog on my bingo board. This book is about a boy called Andy Griffiths. He is the narrator in the book. He tells stories about his own experiences which are very amusing and gruesome. In each chapter he tells a different story, each about events in his life, this book attracted me because it was like the book was talking to me. I would recommend this book to anyone aged 11+ because some things are a bit inappropriate for the younger readers.
Just Disguting! By:Andy Griffin I give this book 4 stars because it´s one of the funniest book I ever read. It´s very creative because they used really descriptive word and a lot funny pictures. If you don´t believe what I´m saying go ask some that had read this awesome book. This book is about that Andy has, and it was really disgusting. Andy and Danny are up to their usual mischief but this time it’s turned up all way to disgusting. I´m not going to tell you more because then you would the entire story.
The book, Just disgusting by Andy Griffiths is just like the title says, just disgusting. This book is just really disgusting and talks about many things that would really gross you out. even though its grotesque, some parts are pretty fuuny. If you were to ever read this book, i suggest you read it when you are not eating unless you want to lose your appetite. I recommend this book to anyone that just want to laugh and actually have a smile on your face when you are reading.
This series was ok, I seemed to like it when I was younger but I cannot enjoy them now. The humour in the story is based on things that are immature so as I have grown up I can no longer appreciate the humour. However the author visited my school when I was in Year 4 and I thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread.
