There is nothing this author can write that I won't read. Love her, I wish she could be cloned so the books could be written and released faster. Read ALL her books!

Finally, a book portraying a strong black woman. I liked Nyla she wouldn't let Andrew control her. Andrew, well your typical Alpha but he was so good with Nyla's daughter Se'Nya. Andrew and Nyla love scenes were hot and not over the top, very well written. When it comes to reading a shapeshifter story, wolves are my favorite and Ms. Lessly did not disappoint me. I really enjoyed this series, I hope she continues with Cedric and Theresa story.

Ok read
I liked this series. This book was a good conclusion. I liked that I was able to get a good understanding of hybrids. Nyla became annoying, she questioned Andrew's love for her but she knew he loved here. She was confusing.

I really enjoyed the finale. The back and forth between Nyla and AP was hilarious. Those 2 sure did know how to argue...lol. I loved the bond between the brothers and the name calling. The names they came up with for each other were hilarious, especially AP and Ced...lol. I am glad that Andrew and Nyla got their HEA. I hope to read more about Theresa and Cedric in the future. Good job, S.K. Lessly.

Good finale
Great finale, I was happy Nyla fully transitioned because she was getting on my nerve, I totally get you want to be all “hear me roar” but I’d expect her to know the man she’s with and that his aim always surrounded what’s best for her and her daughter but ahh guess she had to learn the hard way. Nevertheless it was a good book and I’m hoping Theresa and Cedric gets their story

Control Me
If I didn't love A.P. I certainly love him now. He can control me any day of the week. This was a great conclusion to a book that introduces you to the author's ability to conquer multiple genres. Her first time doing paranormal but you would never know. This book was great. The fierce alpha of Andrew Pierce makes you fall in love. The way he loves Nyla and Se'Nya is overwhelming. And witnessing Nyla come into her was amazing. A badass alpha mated to a badass woman. Well done S.k.!!!

Soulmates will not be denied, no matter what!
This was a very creative and imaginative series that was action-packed and full of drama. Andrew Pierce and Nyla Montgomery's chemistry was off the chain hot. A.P. was totally in love with Nyla from the first time he saw her, he knew she was his one and only mate. He could not understand what was happening at first but came to the realization fast. Nyla was also love bitten at first site as well and had to be convinced that they were soulmates and his, and the pack's Luna. Once she came into her full transition as a hybrid, all bets were off and there was no stopping them. I'm just glad Nyla got her act together before it was too late.
Andrew definitely showed his alpha skills after the mediation and showed Se'Nya's bio dad who was really in charge. Se'Nya was just as cute as she could be. There was a reason why she did not like Darrius and we saw why in this book. They say that babies and animals can sense good and evil and she definitely did here. I can see additional stories being written about Cedric and Theresa stop being stubborn and succumb to their mating.
I normally don't read paranormal stories but this one had my attention since the first issue in the 7 Degrees of Alphas book. This was worth the read.

Grrr...I am so hot right!
I didn't think this could get any better, but surprise, surprise, it was better...
Nyla, humph! She was definitely the best character/heroine of this story. The way she was developed, eased into her role, explained how the process happened was the most beautiful part and gratifying in the book. Many book or authors do not go in depth as to make their readers understand certain nuances in their story, but this here, MS. Lessly is how you bring home a best seller in my opinion. There was never at any moment or at any point was there any confusion, or not understanding of what's going or what will be happening or even what happened before. The story, understanding, researching, explanation and conclusion was on point and very well written.
Then there is Andrew, well by golly, I want one of them. I would openly, trustingly, freely, with my eyes close loved to be claimed, imprinted , mated (whatever) if I could have a "Drew".... This was some alpha to the square root....
And the rest, man give me some Cedric as well, shoot I will be fine with the beta...
But honestly from the very beginning this book has taken a hold on me and as I was reading it, the only thing that I kept on thinking was that as soon as I am done, I need to look into something similar or as close to or could b better.
This first time was better than the sensation of ridding a bicycle for the first time, or having ice cream for the first time or a bottle of water after being lost in the desert for a couple days.
So with nothing else that matter, get yourself this series, and make sure that you have everything next to you (even a portable potty) because you will not want or be able to put it down let alone move.

3.5stars. Review for all 3 books. I read all 3 back to back as who likes cliff hangers.
I had no clue this was a shifter book and was frowning thinking hold on a minute but that’s fine. It’s not my go to theme but I don’t mind it. The book had so many things going on that what started out in book 1 wasn’t what book 3 was about ie the custody case. I think the author remembered she’s initially been writing about something else and bought it back in or that was a way for nyla and Andrew to start talking? If so it took over far too much of book 1.
All of a sudden it went from being about a custody battle to a shifter battle. As it was split into 3 books, looking at each characters background may have made me give it more stars. A lot of things happened that weren’t discussed like the killing of hybrids , Nyla being watched and raised by Ax’s minions. She seemed well grounded for all the deceit and betrayal in her life. We’re these not bad people?
Although I like Nyla and Andrew they seemed very mismatched with nothing in common other then they’re mutual attraction. This was never developed on and I don’t know if that’s a common theme in shifter books ie you’re mated and that’s that. The sex will be great even if we have nothing to talk about. Andrew seemed to love his late wife far more even though he said what he felt for nyla was far more.

Nyla is in chest deep with Andrew when this book begins. Their lovemaking has now sent Nyla into a comma and Drew is freaking out. Andrew knows if anything happens to her he is doomed. However, his pack and extended family rally and get her some help. Her enemies are still plotting to kill her and Andrew and do ungodly things to Se'nya.
Nyla recovers and is told things that send her into anger overdrive. She has an atomic blowup with Andrew and leaves him. Darrius has ramped his anger towards her but she has no idea why and what has prompted it. Cedric - Andrew's right hand has another encounter with his mate Theresa. He finds out some of her secrets and she aids in Nyla understanding who she is and her ultimate role with Andrew.
Andrew's sister attacks her own brother but when she goes after Se'Nya things go downhill for her quickly with the help of Theresa.
Nyla's dreams are leading her to an extreme meltdown that binds her to Andrew in ways neither expect.
FABULOUS page turner with hot sex and anAlpha meeting his match and loving it..

Fantastic!!!
Finally finished the Controlled series and it was a bit satisfying. Without giving too much away from the story, I felt that the bad guys got off too easy. I mean they were these murderous villains and they got a quick death? Nah...they needed some serious torture time if you ask me, Lol. Andrew and Nyla did go through a brief angst period which made me a little upset with Nyla. In the end it all works out, but the next time your mate, does everything for you, I mean everything and you are the center of his whole universe? Try not to walk out on him, okay? Try staying and figure out what is going on. She did have a right to be upset but not enough to walk out on him, in my opinion. Lol...great story and I really hope Cedric and Theresa's book is next!! These books blew me away and I really loved how there was quite a bit of backstory to understand what was going on. ****4 solid star****

Well hell I got frustrated with this third book
This rating because the author just made me want to stop fighting for Kayla by the end,damn! All the back a forth what the hell was so wrong with making this character strong just by definition and fighting for her man and being more aggressive about learning to take her place in the wolf world. Played to much like they were both all human and no wolf to drawn out with non acceptance hell human beings all know that there is always a hierarchy with amimals hell some of us respect them more for their damn loyalty to each other first two book are really good wish author would have stayed the course and had nayla be strong for her man when she became what she was why not make her strong with Andrew and their powers would be off the chart and have them go up against Ax have them be the feared Alpha and Luna of the mountain just saying... Peace

Hot, sexy, intense and quite suspenseful. Nyla and AP are both strong willed and Nyla not understanding what having control means for Andrew with him being the Alpha, she fights him at every turn. The result is both endangering their lives and the lives of the people around them but their love and the fact that they’re soulmates they are always pulled towards each other but Nyla’s confusion as to what she is complicates things even more. They both infuriate me but their love is simply pure and all encompassing. Once Nyla finally came into her powers they were unstoppable in their love and their union. Just wish it didn’t take so long for her to gain her powers. So my biggest disappointment is not seeing more of them fighting and loving each other as the unstoppable force they are. Awesome story nonetheless.

I enjoyed this book series very much. Controlled 3 is much better than Controlled 2 and everything kind of culminates and gels together in this volume. I enjoyed the relationship between Nyla and Andrew. SK Lessly is one of the best interracial romance writers I've read and she doesn't disappoint with this story. It is my first paranormal romance series I've read too, so I trusted Lessly to give me what I expect from her books; good writing, hot love scenes and an adventurous storyline and she delivered. I had previously shied away from paranormal/fantasy romance themes but now I think I could really get into them because of this book. It is just another genre to explore. I believe this series to be a good starting point for that genre.

Well all righty...
Although this third installment was a little long winded I did enjoy it. Delilah, Ax and Darrius....Wooooowww. 😵 They truly turned my stomach and I wanted their comeuppance to be as nasty and brutal they were. There are nice descriptions of the whole Shifter lore..and interesting backstories of the Westside Shadows with parts that come full circle and some loose ends that point to another tale featuring brother Cedric.
Had to skim over the sex scenes which I found too numerous & raunchy but Andrew & Nyla make for a combustible pair that you root for.
The scene with the Mediator & the attorneys had me laughing out loud.
And although a tad too long I think this is one of the best Paranormal shifter stories I've read. Not bad at all..👍

I am so happy with this book. Nyla get your man and own who you are. This book touched on some very interesting topics one of them being the prejudices people face for being different as well as how interracial dating can affect others mental facilities. Either way you never let anyone stop you from loving whoever you want. Even though I really want to know what really happened with Delilah I'm OK with her demise. I feel there is more to come with Theresa and Cedric. Hopefully their story won't be to long in the making. Either way this author can do no wrong in my opinion.

The ending was anticlimactic, but it wasn't a bad read. The story would have been better if Nyla wasn't so annoying. She was whinny, wimpy, and slow on the uptake. Her responses, both internally and externally, often came off as if she wasn't paying attention either to what was being said or what was happening around her. I know some of her reactions were purposeful because of the other characters set her straight. Thank goodness. However, there were many that made me question the Nyla's listening comprehension skills.

Ok so it took me 5 days to complete the 3 book series. I had no Idea that I would even be interested in reading a book that had this type of content. I enjoyed all three books. From the first book that just dropped and ended with me immediately searching on amazon for the 2nd book that same day. I am glad that I stepped outside of the box and read something that I would normally never give a glance. I look forward to reading more books from S.K. Lessly. She is a very good writer that kept me wanting to read more.

This book was so damn good, I love this author. I seen the title of this book over and over again while reading 'Ruined: Loving The Alpha Male' series, 'Desired: Loving An Alpha Male series', 'Obsession: Loving the Alpha Male series, but always said later. I'm so glad later came sooner for me because I would've been missing out. Damn these ALPHA MEN are sexy, domineering, charismatic, controlling, stubborn, loving, loyal, fine as hell and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Controlled. Books one to three
I started reading book one not knowing it was a paranormal romance as that is not my genre of choice. I enjoyed the first book so I continued with the others. I was thrown for a loop in book two when Cedric had the encounter with Theresa as it at first appeared random. It however wove into the narrative subsequently so all’s well that ends well. For someone who is not a fan of the paranormal I enjoyed reading this series. Who knows, I might wander down this lane again!

OMG! This is a thoroughly entertaining book. Passionate vengeful, and violent, but you will enlighten and caring at the same time. There is exce progression of the storyline and captivating characters that's well developed. What I love most about this book is the twists and turns. This not just your typical romance, because it has an element of suspense and the romance. The entire time there’s something that’s just simmering beneath the surface, and that along with the depth of Nyla and Andrew as the main characters makes thpage turner.

Wonderful Paranormal Love Story
This was my first time reading a paranormal love story. I didn’t know what to expect from it. I truly and thoroughly enjoyed it. Oh my goodness I fell in love with Andrew. Loving an Alpha.
I was not disappointed. Andrew and Nyla are sizzling as a couple. I can't wait to read how their story and lives grow. Cedric and Theresa have to be next as far as SK and her brilliant storytelling.
I love how SK builds the story while giving you all the background st the appropriate times. The way the stories are written, also allows mystery fans build and dismiss hypotheses throughout the story.
I'm so looking forward to the next adventure.

In this story, Nyla finally found out her true identity and her history. She learned the real connection between her and Andrew as well as learned that the things she thought she knew, she really didn't know at all. Andrew was still Andrew with his controlling, brooding, and aggressive self, but he truly loved Nyla and Se'Nya. By claiming each other, Nyla and Andrew became a force to be reckoned with as they were stronger and powerful than ever.

Well worth the wait.
I loved the teaser intro to this series but was a little disappointed in Controlled 2. However, this installation more than made up for it! I loved the vivid descriptions and the fact that the questions were answered to my satisfaction. I would have preferred a more comprehensive epilogue but I'll get over it as I anxiously await Cedric's and Theresa's book...LOL...LOL!!!

Breaking dawn adult version
Im very skeptical when there are two parts to a story. I was happy that both parts were already out. I wasn’t happy because i felt that it could have been condensed into one 400 plus page book. I would have gladly read it.
I loved Andrew. He was the true definition of an alpha. He protected his woman and his pack. It took too long for Nyla to realize who she was. Her transition was drawn out too much and too long.

GREAT Controlled
The author finished up this series quite nicely. At times, I wanted to shake Nyla, but I thought the author did a nice job of balancing her lack of experience with her undiscovered destiny. However, Andrew was definitely the star throughout all three books and man, what an alpha! I almost feel as if Nyla was unworthy of him and she was totally out of his league....I am glad that Nyla was finally able to come into her own and that this story has an HEA.

Loved the series. Some of the scenes are to drawn out. I found myself skipping pages. Also didn’t like the end. I wish in the 3rd book they would have discovered their true self and their ability earlier in the book so you could see their real true union. You got a glimpse of it in the last few pages and then it was over. Unless there is a book 4 - hint hint that really focuses on their true strength as a power couple.
