An unusual message is popping up in unexpected places around the world—in radio commercials, movies, TV shows, even within the pages of the New York Times. Believing that someone is playing an elaborate prank, FCC agent Gene Manford and FBI agent Katherine Rooney begin an investigation. But nothing in their training has prepared them for what they are about to encounter…A contemporary novel dealing with real spiritual warfare issues, Enoch will take you on a mind-bending, fast-paced journey through a story of good versus evil.

I remember reading and hearing the story of Enoch in a book of Bible stories that my family and I had as a kid; he was the one who walked with God, and was taken up to heaven. Since then, I've read God's Word in its entirety multiple times, and Enoch's story only gets a few verses. Still, living a Godly life and never having to die is admirable; the story inspires me to live right, so that I can be taken up to heaven on whatever day...which, the way things are going on this planet, may very well be soon.
What Alton Gansky has done here is taken Enoch and brought him to modern times; at least, modern as of the writing of this book. Some crazy events start to take place; though everyone either sees or hears about them, what people don't realize at first is that God is trying to get their attention. Some may scoff at the thought of God using manmade media such as newspapers, television, and movies to get the word out, but, I believe He can use anything; for years, I've noticed that my iPod, which is always on shuffle, comes up with songs that have the exact message I need to hear when I'm about to wake up on the wrong side of the bed. After reading this book in 2021, I think that God used COVID to get the world's attention...yet, they're largely still ignoring Him. If even a global pandemic can't get people to turn to Him...boy, is our planet in trouble!
I really enjoy Alton Gansky's books. I have read where the characters do not have much depth to them, but they are good to read when you don't want to think too much about what you are reading. This book was rather interesting, kind of a "what if...". Who knows, maybe Enoch is still out there, somewhere.
This book is the first that I have read by Alton Gansky. It was a good read and kept me interested describing a spiritual battle between good and evil. The ending, however, was lacking and left the reader hanging.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book… it was just fun to read, smart, suspenseful, and supernatural… exactly what I love in a good book. Right up to the end where it left me with questions… I hate lingering questions - hoping there is a sequel. Good read!
For a Christian Fiction, this book is pretty good! Was a bit tough at first to keep all the characters straight, but ince alm that got set, the pagesflew by! It ended a bit odd, but all in all a good book!
I read Alton Gansky many years ago and enjoyed him. I bought this book at Half-Price a couple years ago and never read it. When I started, I was thinking, how come I hadn’t read this yet? It kept me reading. However, the end was fast and anti-climatic and I’m not really sure why or what happened. Easy read.
Interesting characters and storyline. I liked it but didn't love it. Well written, just not my cup of tea. The ending felt as though parts were edited out. It didn't seem quite right (I thought maybe I was missing pages or something - then others at book club said the same thing)
Words will be hard to explain book , but my faith view point , I know this book is fiction but it is so close to some stories from the bible. Not Mary Martha flying !! The Miracles the faith The devil's deception The greed and the horror mongers the people wanting to serve the devil only to have more and more that's so true during this time of 2022. I believe in my soul Jesus is coming soon !!! This book shows how worried the devil is , so well written. Alton Gansky: is showing the world what is coming thru his books , read and beware. Love it ! Will read again !!
This is not my favorite by Alton Gansky, though I am a fan of his writing. I like his out-of-the-box stories, ususally with at least a touch of otherworldliness or another dimension. This is a modern-day setting where Enoch from the Old Testament shows up ( he never died, but God took him) as a messenger to point to Jesus. The story includes activity from both spirit worlds (Godly and Satanic), a televangelist, the FCC and the FBI. A bit over the top, but an interesting message.
Really enjoyed most of the book. It has an intriguing (if far fetched) concept, but the ending was horrible. It felt fake and cut short. This was a quick, engrossing read, but there were some awkward spots. Would not read this one again.
Based on an Old Testament story that I hadn't heard of. Quick read with a compelling plot, so it was a good book to bring along on a trip to make the airplane time go faster. The only reason I'm leaving off a star was because some of the plot twists seemed far-fetched but I enjoyed it.
Intriguing concept, a mysterious man wholly devoted and dependent on God’s will meets a young man without purpose or guidance. The story also reveals how there is really no middle ground in the spiritual battle.
