this is the doujinshi to volume 4 of the 1945 series. so obviously read that before you come hither to this part of town. the doujin first came out in 2016, but then it sold out everywhere. and because lorelai is a popular book to begin with, it was hella hard to get THIS doujin (unless you wanna spend stupid amount of money on auction sites). bless ogami's heart because two years later, she decided to reprint this book and have it distributed in jgarden AND sold online in comi comi. so yeah... i'd buy this book if i were you while you still have the chance :')
SO ANYWAYS. one word to describe this: closure!!!
this doujin comprises of 9 stories (1 story is broken up into sections) and because this is a lorelai doujin, the focus is on mikami and rui. there's a kido pov, as well as a (GAAASP) wataru pov, but it's about their involvement with rui. the pairs from the other volumes also show up here as well, so you'll need to read vol 1-5 (or vol 1-4 and the plumeria doujin) before you can read this in full.
honestly, every single story here is absolutely amazing. if i mention one, i'll have to mention all of them. the one with gekkou though was really eye-opening because we didn't get to see gekkou and rui interact with each other in the past, but this time they do. wataru's feelings and rokurou's thoughts as it pertains to rui was.... thought-provoking. read and you might see rokurou in a different light. though i think it remained true to his character, because his priority is to protect wataru, and then himself. if they try to help rui, they might end up going down with him...
this is r18, so yeah baby 8'D it's because one story had hella ero moments with the lorelai CP. it was hot. ogami doesn't write ero often but when she does, oooooh she does. and she does it well.
i mentioned i got closure after reading this. if you read vol 4, you know the ending hurts like hell. i read it twice and it still stings like a bitch. read the last story of this doujin because it continues right where vol 4 ended. i'm not going to say anything. but if you didn't like the ending to lorelai, get your hands on this doujin, and if you must read anything out of here, yo ass better read that last story because for me, i got peace of mind.
it still hurts as you read it though, don't get me wrong, but it hurts in a different way. like a... sigh of relief, and the ability to move on. it'll give you closure is what i'm saying.
in conclusion: yes there are feels, yes you will feel sad at certain parts because it's lorelai (that story is just sad by nature) but there are also moments where you will FEEL GOOD. it's a fantastic doujin and a must read if you enjoyed lorelai. ogami-sensei is a frickin genius. i love her!!
