I really enjoyed this book and I gave it five stars. It was really cool to see Cathy grow up from a thirteen-year-old who was in eighth grade to an eighteen-year-old, almost nineteen, who was a freshman in college. It was cool to see Cathy go through hard times with her family, like financial troubles, and see her go through her relationships, like her liking Nathan and her dating Mark. Since I also live in Utah, when Cathy was talking about where she traveled, I knew exactly where she was talking about and had even been there myself. One thing that was kind of confusing, because there was no background information, it was hard to know who were her siblings and who were her friends or older sibling's friends. If you like books about everyday life, or if you like nonfiction with character growth, I would definitely recommend this book to you.

This was a fast, fun read. Cathy seems so sweet and innocent yet relatable. I remember thinking and feeling some of the same things she talks about when I was her age

What a fun book to read! It is always neat to peak back into time and see what was happening in the everyday life of a teenager and see that life hasn't change much. Thank you to Anastasia Rose for sharing a glimpse into your family's history I enjoyed it so much!

This was a fun, light-hearted read, though my heart broke for Cathy when she got her heart broken. I always find it interesting to read someone's actual diary. I could relate to so many of her experiences and feelings, yet so many things she dealt with every day seem so strange to me, like not having hot water or a T.V. and even shampoo at times.
